    Chicken Tinga Burrito

Chicken tinga burrito was all time. It hit the spot most definitely! Highly recommend.

Left to right hongos huitlacoche, baja, carnitas Taco via the pick 3. (Horchata in the back!)

Superb customer service helping navigate the menu as we've never been here before. We drove strictly on reviews alone and are so glad we did! We are on the road full time and forever seeking good Mexican food. This stop ranks the highest thus far between here and florida!

I work 5 minutes from this location, so we come for lunch every few months. We would come every week for lunch, but there is that whole need to save every dollar to afford an apartment in Vancouver aspect. I digress. La taqueria has the best Mexican food on the north shore. I do miss the pre pandemic table side salsa bottles and pickled veggies. Had an al pastor burrito. BIG juicy fresh and filling. We also had chips and guacamole because they are so dang tasty, but it ended up being too much food of which I consumed anyhow because you can't waste delicious food.

Hole in the wall, industrial area GOODNESS! Awesome food, great prices and authentic. Loved it after a nice hike around Lynn Canyon. We got there around 2 PM and no problem getting a seat (family style tables) and our food came out hot and fresh. Totally worth it if you want Mexican!

    Baja taco + Mexican coke

I was getting pretty hungry towards the end of my long run and was glad to have stumble upon this spot nicely tucked away in an industrial area in North Vancouver. The staff was friendly and the COVID protocols were clear: -Masks are mandatory. -There are clear signs for where you should go when you're ordering food. -Hand sanitizers are readily available inside/outside the restaurant. I ordered the baja taco and a bottle of Mexican coke for a total of $8.93 w/ tax. 1. Baja taco (3/5): This was just a solid, but not-cheap fish taco. I was disappointed by the amount of fish that was given and the lack of flavor on the fish. However, the crunchy coleslaw and the tangy sauce were both a plus. 2. Mexican coke (5/5): This doesn't influence the my Yelp review rating for La Taqueria. I just wanted to note that real sugar cane coke is better than the regular high fructose corn syrup coke anyday! Overall, if I was in the area again and am craving tacos, I will come back. However, I definitely would not go out of my way to come here.

Drive slow and look carefully or else you might drive right past this place. It only have a small "Tacos" sign outside. Being from New York, I was skeptical about this place especially where it was located. Looks like it was in the middle of an industrial area. We ordered the special and got 6 tacos for 12.00. We had 5 people in our party and I ordered 18 tacos in all. I was worry the special would mean cheap on the fillings but I was wrong. All the tacos were delicious and the fillings were plenty! We ordered carnitas, fish (2 kinds - fried and regular), tinga de pollo, shrimp (fried), tongue and beef cheeks. The carnitas were seasoned well, moist and had nice pieces of pineapple on top. The Tinga pollo was also tasty and moist. I don't think any of the tacos we order were bad. I only got pictures of some since people int he party was hungry :) They also had tons of mexican sodas and homemade mexican drinks (Horchata and Hibiscus tea). Defintiely would come back if I was in the area.

Great little taco place amongst all the industrial shops! Friendly staff and the tacos are great! The Veggie ones were flavourful with crispy cheese underneath the toppings! The prawn was the best, Baja style with a great coleslaw crunch. Good eats!

Found this little hidden gem on Yelp and they did not disappoint! Staff is so nice and friendly! Food is FULL of flavor. We got assorted tacos and birria ramen with guacamole and chips. 10/10 recommend!!!

Small pinche taco shop, great service and, a nice jewel to be discovered. Great corn tortilla! A bit pricey for the portion though, but if you never had some glimpse to good lengua tacos. I suggest trying! The parking is street parking though and can "literally" be hard to find. However, look for the blue flag!

It's seriously Mexican with that modern fresh twist. We live in California (but I've not technically been to Mexico), so take what you will, but overall excellent and tasty food. The restaurant is super clean and it's a bit off the way it seems, but it worked perfect for us because we were heading up the coast to Squamish. Beautiful colors, flavors and damn good Mexican. I ordered the al pastor quesadilla. The quesadilla is filled with a ton of cheese and it's very rich and filling. So if you want a light snack, this isn't it. My bae loved the tacos, too. I tried a bit of everything and we left happy and full. I'd definitely recommend. Service is incredibly friendly. Top notch!

    Fish, pastor, and tongue!

In a word (or maybe 3), great tasting tacos. Anyplace you can get tongue tacos is a step in the right direction! If memory serves, at the Hastings location, they get served with two small tortillas with each taco, but here, only one. And while still delicious, the get soggy and a little fally aparty a bit too quickly. Great pickled veg, and a decent variety of hot sauces. Great to have one of these on the North Shore. Some of the best tacos I've had since Mexico

The hostess wasn't the friendliest and we did wait a bit before being greeted by anyone, but our server was great. She was enthusiastic and even brought us extra napkins because some of the dishes we ordered were messy. After sitting down we were given complimentary chips and salsa. Every dish is made fresh to order. Tacos: comes on a plate of 3. Out of all 4 dishes we ordered, this was my least favourite. It was still tasty, but nothing special. Barbacoa: everyone at the table enjoyed this dish the most. The beef brisket was so tender. It came with 5 warm corn tortillas. Shrimp taquitos: nice and crispy corn tortillas, we liked the shrimp filling. I also really liked the guac on top, it tasted so fresh. Enchiladas de pollo: the cheese and sour cream made the dish really creamy and satisfying. We also enjoyed the rice & black beans that came with it.

I sat at the bar, service was attentive and I enjoyed my chat with the bartender. As I was just wanting something small I settled on the sopes and was pleased with my choice, well plated and nice flavour combinations. The jalapeño margarita was ok but I've had better. There were some interesting and seemingly tasty items on the menu I'd like to come back and try sometime. Will probably be back when in the area again.

Has it really only been a week and a half since we last came here? Guess we really like this place!…read moreMy daughter had the cheese quesadilla again. I was very close to ordering some tacos this time but then...my eyes caught sight of the Veganachos on the menu. So I cancelled my taco order and decided to order the Veganachos instead. The kiosk that I placed my order from had a "notes" section so I was able to type in my request for "no cilantro." We also both ordered Horchata for our drinks. While I do enjoy tacos, I guess I naturally gravitate towards other Mexican dishes more than tacos. I just keep thinking that I should try the tacos here one day, simply because the words "tacos" is in the name of the restaurant which indicates that tacos should be what they specialize in. Truth be told though, I just havn't found myself in the mood for tacos on any of the visits we've made to this place. One day, I will try their tacos though! The Veganachos were pretty good. Most orders of nachos I've seen at restaurants are usually larger than this order was. It had plenty of ingredients on it though, and it was a very good size for one person to have as a meal. Not an excessive amount, but not too skimpy either. I quite happy with it. Next time though...I will definitely try their tacos!

You enter your order on the tablets and then wait for your orde the come out on the conveyer belt thing. I found the delivery of the product quite disorganized when I was there. Everything come out and there is no explanation of what is what. I just thought they could they could label what the vegetarian items were when the came out. Several orders got crossed and some had incorrect items in theirs. It wasn't super busy either. Our food was moving to getting cold by the time we got ours. A real shame as jackfruit Mole was very good but the meat ones were getting too cold for me to feel comfortable eating. I'll probably try to tell the cook staff to seperate the vegetarian from the meat ones in my order next time. Still worth a visit though despite all the hiccups
