Solid Mexican place in Kitsilano. Parking is available on the side streets. The place is nice and festive. As a nice touch, the TV was showing the movie Coco. Staff were friendly. Service with a smile. There is quite a bit of variety available in the menu, which is nice. I had their pork enchiladas. Comes with 3 in total, with rice and refried beans, and a couple of nacho chips. They have 3 sauces available (mild red, hot green, mole). I tried the green and mole. Both sauces are pretty good I must say. The mole isn't spicy. The dish was quite tasty. Portion size is decent but not big. Definitely wouldn't mind coming back. Recommended.

This authentic Mexican spot has a fairly large menu with chilaquiles, tamales, chille relleno, tacos, enchiladas, etc. For the drinks, they have a house-made horchata, happy hour specials every day, are licensed and carry some less common Mexian pops like apple soda and sangria soda. For the enchiladas, there is a mole option plus the usual green or red sauces. The mole is quite sweet. Portions are not huge but adequate. It's a good option for take out in the Kits/Point Grey area. Decor is very bright, colourful and a bit funky with a one-eyed cactus mural. Food has nice presentation. Super friendly service.

Great service, a very relaxed ambiance with large windows allowing tons of sunlight to enter. Food was great !

I am loving this Mexican place. It taste more authentic than other more mainstream places around town too! The Huevos rancheros is filling and I was sleepy after finishing it. The eggs were poached medium and I wouldn't even mind it if it were a bit runnier, but that could be because it had to be delivered to me. The salsa or sauce on the eggs were more sour than I'm used to seeing, but I love that. The beans were creamy and the rice was satisfying.

    Cold, dry, tamel

I just ordered chicken enchiladas; literally a flour tortilla with two tablespoons of shredded chicken and that's it that's what they call an enchiladas. $18.50 I also ordered a tamel ; cold, old and dry, could not eat $19.50. This has got to be the worst food I have ever ordered, so disappointed.

Amazing food, exceeded our expectations. We had enchiladas and chilaquiles- both were delicious. The horchata was super yummy. Casual atmosphere and really fast service. It wasn't too loud or busy. They have a very extensive drink menu- very impressive. 10/10 would dinagain.

Great spot for authentic Mexican in a casual setting! Order at the counter, and a waiter will bring food to your table. They have a good amount of patio seating. They have all the Mexican dishes you would expect including some less mainstream ones, sandwiches, and full range of coffee. I had their Veggie Tamal, Flan, and Mexican Mocha. I was really excited to see that they have tamales as this is one of my favourite Mexican dishes and it's not too common in Mexican restaurants in Van or where I grew up, and it totally lived up to my expectations! Perfect texture in both the wrapper and filling and very generous with the topping of salsa, sour cream, cheese, and more veggies. They can leave off the cheese/sour cream to make it vegan. The plating of the whole dish was also very appealing! I haven't had a lot of flan so I can't say how theirs compares to the standard, but I really enjoyed it. I thought the caramel topping was a little weak in flavour, but the richness of the flan itself made up for it. The Mexican mocha was decent as just a mocha, but I would never have guessed that it was supposed to be Mexican as there was no hint of spice besides the dusting of cinnamon on top. The espresso taste was present but also not very strong. I enjoyed the beverage, it just wasn't what I was expecting. With both the flan and the mocha, I was disappointed that they were served in to-go packaging. Since my entree was properly plated for here, they obviously have the means to wash dishes, so I wish they could have served the flan on a plate and coffee in ceramic to reduce waste. Service is friendly and accommodating, and the prices all around are very good! They have the same menu for lunch and dinner with prices on most of the entrees slightly higher for dinner (I assume they give you a bigger portion?), but either way the prices are lower than what a similar meal at a proper sit-down restaurant usually costs, and the quality and presentation is just as good!

Enchiladas x 3 (chicken, pork, beef). Green salsa verde. Sour cream. Refried beans. Rice. Feta and nacho garnish.

I was the only one in the restaurant. Restaurant was clean. Ambience was appropriate and not too 'busy'. Service was basic, but everything came out very quick. Menu has a great selection. Ordered the enchiladas. They were plated beautifully and tasted wonderful, however, the portion was small for the price you paid ($20). I unfortunately left hungry. Overall, I recommend this place

We just noticed this little restaurant as we drove by the other day. I checked out the reviews and it looked worth trying! The owner was very friendly, she greeted us at the door and welcomed us in. She explained the menu and some of the newer menu items. At our request she also made a few suggestions. We tried the Chicken Enchiladas and the Pastor Enchiladas. Both were great!! The enchiladas arrived quickly, and they looked and tasted yummy! We noticed they made Empanadas on Thursday. We love empanadas so will check those out in a few days. We will definitely be returning to try other items.

Really nice surprise ! We didn't realize it was here at 4 th and Stephens , right across from Nexus hair salon and Synergy massage . Food was so good and portions just right ! I had the Chili Relleno with beans and rice honestly the plate look like I had licked it clean .... My husband had Hevous Ranchero and he loved it especially the sauce !! He always says he does not like Mexican food but they have changed his mind . The staff were so kind and attentive !

Sat us down, took our orders and brought us our food then quickly brought the bill so they could change tables over. The Margarita here was excellent. Definitely felt like a strong boozey drink. Well done! Tried their Chilaquiles - not sure what I was expecting but this was more nachos than anything else. Definitely not the best in the city either. Maiz De Cole - strangely the best option that I selected. The chilli, lamb, cilantro just went so well. Great light option if you need one. Definitely not better than a good Mexican street corn though. Birria Taco - wanted to like this but didn't leave much to be desired. Large portions of protein Ordered the extra Birria as my date also wanted this. Looking back, should have stuck with the single order. It was way too much birria protein which after a few bites became overly dry and lacked flavour. Carnitas Tacos - come in a order of 2. Better option for smaller appetites. Overall, felt a bit steep in price. Their website online doesn't even post prices yet.

Our server was attentive and around when we needed something but never interrupting, and his recommendations ended up being some of our favourite dishes. The anchovy olives were a standout, super crispy, packed with flavour, and not overly fishy at all (great if you're a bit hesitant about anchovies). The mushroom toast was rich, savoury, and full of umami. Just a heads up not to let it sit too long since it softens the bread. The tuna tartare was fresh and well-balanced. Not my personal favourite served on toast, but still really enjoyable overall. The paella was excellent, perfectly cooked shrimp, tclams, and crispy pork belly chicharrón that added the best salty, fatty crunch. The roasted cabbage completely surprised me and was easily one of the best veggie dishes I've had in a while. I could have eaten a whole plate of it. We wrapped things up with churros and shared a pitcher of sangria. For three people, it came out to about $68 each before tip, which felt very fair for how much we ordered. Would definitely recommend.

As well, the manchego was so tiny it was like a shaving . The bone marrow amounted to about three teaspoons of marrow. We were so sad and dissatisfied. The patatas bravas was okay. Unfortunately we do not have a reason to return.
