My mom had been recommending this place since before the pandemic so we finally had the chance to check it out. They were operating for dine out service at the time. We ordered the special of the day which is an appetizer, main course and.m dessert. The portions are normal compared to other places, I liked it because it wasn't an absurd portions like some other places. For appetizer we had a mushroom soup which was delicious. Wow!! The main course was a fish filet and potatoes salad with another side. I loved the fish, it was perfectly seasoned with a sauce on the top. Then for dessert we had the option of either flan or crema de Catalan. So we chose the latter to try it out. It tasted like pudding with a thick layer of sugar on top, it was great!! TL;DR 10/10 would recommend My partner and I had early dinner there this afternoon and we had an amazing night! We ordered from each of the sections off the menu. It was a date night and we wanted to go all out. Stared out with a cheese and meat platter and the cod croquettes. Then we ordered churrasco with rice and plantains that also came with their amazing potato salad. My partner ordered the sirloin with fries and also had some "Gambas Al ajijo" on the side (garlic shrimp scampi app). We shared a lovely bottle of tempranillo (calto from Ribera del duero) which I would recommend to anyone. And finished the night with a crema catalan and an almond cake plus an expresso to finish off. If I have to say one regret or one issue? I don't have enough stomach to fit everything else I wanted but I guess that's what another visit is for. I have to thank Ramon and his staff for the wonderful service, we came in and ended up staying a few minutes past closing and staff treated us as if the whole place was in full swing. I will absolutely be coming back as well as bringing our families and recommending this place to others. read more

Visited last night for dinner. The decor is nice, service was good and the flamenco show with 1 guitar player and 1 dancer was entertaining. However, the food was just awful. I had fish and it was a slimy piece of something, can't even call it fish. It tasted old and rotten. My husband had pork and it was so salty he couldn't finish it. This place is excellent, and above all, the service was perfect. I was meeting a vendor down at the new Jackson West and I had about 30 minutes to waste so decided to stop here and get some lunch. I walked in and was seated immediately and water was served. The server came back very shortly with a basket of warm, toasted and soft french bread which was very welcomed at that moment. My order was taken and since I didn't have a lot of time to spend, I ordered the special, which was the Paella with Pork and Chorizo. This also came with some delicious lentils which I happily ate with the bread. The main dish came out shortly and was served with sweet plantain. The Paella was excellent, not to wet and not too dry, and had a nice amount of pork, ham, and chorizo. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed my lunch fast and left in time to make my meeting. P.S. A little let down that even though I ordered the special, no one bothered me to offer me the included dessert. One of my very favorite places to eat and relax in Miami, I love the food, Pulpo a la Gallega (Octopus) is awesome, Codillo (Pork Shank) delicious. The restaurant is different and homey at the same time. Besides enjoying a good red wine from Spain, you should have an expresso coffee and a Crema Catalana (Caramelized Cream Custard) for dessert. and on Saturday Nights they have a Spanish guitar player and a Flamenco dancer. read more

What a piece of crap !!! I used to come to this restaurant when the father ran it. Now the son runs it and it has turned into pure manure. His Dad was great. Food was good, priced correctly and plenty of it. He would even sit with you at the table and talk to you. We often did as I grew up in Spain and have very fond memories of my young life there. Once, His father went as far as making a dish for me that was not on the menu, but that we talked about how much I enjoyed eating it while living in Spain. All the pictures of the food you see now on Google or Yelp, are images of long ago. Now his son Took over a few years ago, when his beloved father passed away, and the place has slowly been dwindling down. Tonight was the last straw. We ordered calamari appetizer, which was about $12.00. We literally got 11 rings of thin, overly cooked and small calamari. Honestly !!!! Then we had some chorizos Al vino, cooked with red wine. About $9.00, and we got about 8-9 pieces of the most thinly sliced chorizos. We also asked for the stuffed Piquillo Peppers. $11.00 for four small peppers, which were gone in one bite. Then $5 cover charge to listen to flamenco. On a Saturday night, and offering live music, the place was basically empty. Three tables total. That should have been a giveaway to not go in. But we did, and never again !!! This restaurant will not succeed while you serve ridiculous portions of food and charge premium price for them. If you want to survive, change. Otherwise you will end up closing. One couple sat down before us and left without ordering. Don't know why, but it happened after speaking to server. And they left not happy. This Spanish restaurant has become a goto place during our lunch business meeting with. Retain clients. Place is very clean well decorated and makes you feel like you just stepped into a restaurant in Madrid. Stash is extrémalo friendly and owner and his wife are always present and will approach tables and make sure guest are enjoying the culinary experience. Food is incredibly fresh and delicious no matter what you order and prices are reasonable. I haven't been there at night but understand they have live entertainment. I look forward to visiting this place on a weekend evening with friends and family, but till then will continue make this a place to go for lunch meetings. read more

I was attracted to this restaurant by their $10.99 lunch special that includes soup, entree and dessert. I ordered parillada de pollo (grilled chicken platter with sausage and potatoes). The chicken was so greasy, the potatoes placed underneath were soaked and soggy. The lentil soup was okay but needed salt. And for dessert I ordered crema Catalana (crème brulee)...what a disappointment. It tasted like it was out of an instant powder pack, definitely not homemade. The only thing worthwhile was the sangria. The setting is cozy and the staff is friendly, but they've gotta do something about the food. read more

This little Spanish restaurant was recommended to us by a friend and it really paid off! It's quiet and cozy, nicely decorated and filled with wine bottles on a wall. We asked for sangria and it was truly delicious. For appetizers we had Pulpo a la gallega and Jamón Iberico(ham) sooo good. The octopus comes on a bed of potatoes and you can clearly see the paprika and other spices on it including the olive oil. The waitress was very friendly and came by several times with bread and to ask us how everything was. For dinner We ordered Codillo a la brasa (pork shank) OMG this was so good! Overall; we had a good time, not crowded at all for a Wednesday evening, not too much traffic to get into the little shopping center and is centrally located near Starbucks. We ordered the Estremes Ibericos as appetizer. It was a simple & typical dish with just Serrano Ham & Machego cheese. It was delicious; strong taste and yet not too salty. We also ordered the Sopon Marinero (Seafood Soup) and the Garlic Shrimp with fren fries. The soup was really tasty, not too strong with plenty of seafood. My only complaint on this dish was the shrimps. They were very chewy, which is a sign of being overcooked. The garlic shrimp dish was perfect; well balanced with garlic and a butter type sauce. The shrimps were very tender and juicy. We also ordered two glasses of sangria...they certainly became the hit of the night. No doubt the best sangria we had in a long time, hands down! The customer service was outstanding. The waitress brought us a delicious fresh bread and a courtesy side dish with diced potatoes with mayonnaise & olive oil. as imply tasty!. The atmosphere was great, again the place was empty, which was perfect to have a nice conversation. The decor was certainly appropriate for a Spanish restaurant, just like Spain...well balanced and appropriate, love the endless racks of wine throughout the store and there is plenty of TVs set up with different channels including the traditional soccer game. The bathrooms were modern and kept very clean. The prices are somehow adequate; an appetizer, two dinners and two drinks for $65 + tax + tip...OK, this is where I had an huge issue with this restaurant. They placed a mandatory tip on my bill , so I asked the waitress why it was mandatory. She stated the tip was mandatory for bills greater than $20 dollars. Really?? So about $9.50 was attached to the bill. Again, forcing customers to leave this mandatory tip for bills above $20 is not fair and if you are going to do it, then have the courtesy to say something upon initial contact or at least have it written on the menu somewhere. I happen to give great tips, often giving 20% or more..., however when I'm forced to do it, then they will get exactly what they took from me. I won't be back. read more

Our appetizer featured Serrano han that was dry and had the consistency of cardboard. A few stray pieces of mancheco cheese and some olives that seemed to come out of a can completed this $15 appetizer. The main courses were similarly disappointing, prepared with supermarket grade seafood and served in an unappealing presentation. I have been coming to San Roman for quite a few years already. My father my brother and I frequent this restaurant for its AMAZING food and incredible service. This is a family owned restaurant in which you have the absolute pleasure of dealing with the owners themselves and they always make you feel like you're the most valued guest. I cannot remember a time that we have come to San Roman and didn't leave amazed by how good our food was. I will continue to come here for amazing food, great service and overall just a very pleasant experience. The WORST dining experience I have ever had! Not one person at the table enjoyed their meal. Everyone returned their meals because they were not edible. The restaurant also charges $5 for entertainment and they had the audacity to charge us $5 per person after only being there for 15 minutes. This is probably the closest you will get to Spain. The food is excellent! Reminds me of the time I spent in Madrid. However funny enough, I learned how to eat and enjoy Pulpo with them.
