Probably better for a nighttime gathering, but kind of threw off our brunch talking session. This is definitely a personal preference, but prepare to be extremely overstimulated. The place is absolutely gorgeous! Kudos to whoever did the interior decorating because everything is visibly pleasing. Even the presentation of drinks and food were great and "instagram-worthy". My friends and I did bottomless mimosas for $35 which is a fair price, but the rest of the menu was ridiculously overpriced. $15 Base for chilaquiles but it's a minimum of $7 to add protein (a very minuscule amount) AND an extra $4 just to add eggs?? Regular drinks were extremely tax as my friend's latte horchata was $12 and it was not good at all. The food was not bad, but the upcharging and skimpy portions definitely put this place on my "no" list. HOWEVER, if they just make minor tweaks with the volume, pricing, and food quantity it definitely could be a great place to go! The staff is friendly and the vibes are right, there just needs to be some changes for me personally.

UNDERRATED!!!!!!…read more I've passed this place a million times! I'm so sorry it took me so long! I was in the area dropping my dog off at his dog bath spot. I also wanted to give OC shoe cleaner a try to get some shoes cleaned(they're about to get a 1 star for being so delayed.) Anywho, after I dropped off my shoes I saw Sal's and said I need to give this place a try finally! Walked in and there was one other patron in there. This place needs to be steadily busy! The owner was really nice and accommodating. For a first visit, I kept it simple. I ordered a surf and turf mulita, lengua taco and a chorizo taco. Filled a few cups of fresh salsa and sat my fluffy azz down and awaited my lunch. Business started picking up so I was happy to see. Got my food and started chowing down. Took my first bite of the surf n turf milita OMG instant mouthgasm! Mulitas are quit rich so you have to add salsa and I added my green El yucateca, made perfect bites. Loaded with protein! Something I'll be getting EVERYTIME! Took a bite of the chorizo taco, these aren't the super greasy type of chorizo tacos. I kinda like the fatty mouth feel, just a personal preference. The language taco was so soft. Fantastic texture. Honestly what a great first impression and knew I wanted to be back sooner than later. Following week I came back and this time had a meal with my sister and one of my men's. We went bonkers with the ordering. This time I ordered a bean and cheese mulita and I noticed they had crunchy tacos which I didn't see the first visit! I immediately ordered a carne asada crunchy taco with onions. My man's ordered a taco and a burrito, my sister ordered a bean and cheese burrito and a quesadillla combo. My sister doesn't do salsa like that so we had to get her salsa from Stater brothers gringo salsa. Food was ready and we had some hefty bags. Got home with the food stash and with all that, they forgot our tortilla chips!?!?!? Luckily my dude went back out and went to the store and got some chips. Like had we known that we would've gotten a bag while we got my sisters gringo salsa :( Anywho, got into the food and that crunchy taco was damn good and it didn't get soggy on the way home! Definitely a repeat. The star of the show was the bean and cheese mulita !!!! It was ooey gooey goodness! Honestly better than a bean and cheese burrito! I'm salivating just writing about it! No joke I think about that dish every other day. My sister loved her meal. My friend said his burrito had pinto beans instead of silky refried beans, next time specify Mister. My sister is a believer and she can't wait to have her own bean and cheese mulita because the other half I gave her, she loved! This place deserves to be booked and busy! Please support your small mom and pop local businesses!
