This is La Super Birria's 3rd location and they have a lot of indoor seating as well as some patio seating. Parking is not an issue here as they share a large lot with other businesses in the area. Service is friendly and they offer a nice selection of birria (stewed beef) tacos (with and without cheese), birriaramen, burrion, mulita, and pizzirria. They only offer beef protein options here. Quesabirria - $5 - This consists of a corn tortilla, birria and cheese. I really enjoyed the juicy birria here with the gooey cheese, and had to use several napkins as this taco was dripping with so much juice. Red Taco - $3 - This consisted of a yellow and red street sized corn tortillas with some tender pieces of birria. At $3 this was an excellent value. Birria Tour ($12) - This consists of a quesabirria, red taco, bomb taco and consome. There really wasn't much difference between the red and bomb taco, they both consisted of street sized corn tortillas with some tender birria. The consome was on the thinner side and didn't have much flavor. It had a few pieces of birria in it, and I would definitely pass on it next time. Overall I was really impressed with the birria at Super Birria and have added it to my lunch rotation. All orders come with an accompaniment of lemon wedges, onions, parsley, and some hot sauce. This restaurant is decorated pretty cool on the inside. It's big and has a patio with a mechanical bull. It has a bar. They have a few tv's around. Upon entry there's some sort of skull like face with big feathers, kind of scared me. The service was good. I ordered a mulita. As I remember someone recommended it, they said it was big and they put a lot of cheese and a lot meat. It's not as big as they use to make them and there wasn't enough cheese in mine. Sister-in-law came down from Portland to try birria and was a little disappointed. I thought this location would be the same as the original location in Santa Ana but it's way different. Food: They don't have the birria tour here, unfortunately, so we ordered two quesotacos with birria and a 25 oz consomme each. The quesotacos were lukewarm and not melty with cheese. The meat wasn't that flavored. The consomme didn't have extra meat or spices in it and had a thick layer of oil on top. The original location has the complete opposite of all. Flavorful meat with melty cheese, and the consomme is mouthwatering with generous extra meat inside. This place was very frugal with their stuff. I had to even ask for their onions and they're chili oil - you have to pay for it whereas the other location offers it for free. Service: Service was okay. They actually took a while to make our food. Honestly, if you're thinking about coming here, just drive a 10 or so more minutes to the Santa Ana location. It'll be worth it, trust me. read more

This is the second location I visit and I prefer this spot because parking is better and for some reason they're not as busy so it's convenient but they should be busy based off how good the food is. The salsa with lemon and the Quesabirrias are everythinggggg. The birria ramen is also so good. I will keep returning to this spot. I was real disappointed with this location I'm a real fan of these restaurants birria but I've always gone to the one on 1ST and let me tell you it doesn't compared to it 1. Of they didn't have hand made tortillas at this location which is never a problem at the 1ST location 2. When the food came out the birria tasted like it has been re heated didn't taste fresh it was grease a and chunks of greasy meat 3. They only had a cashier catering to everybody they should have more staff to make sure they cater to the clients like they do on 1ST My experience was horrible at this location in the future I will be going to 1ST it's worth the drive 3. read more

Finally opened. Love the Santa Ana location but the parking is tough, and it's a drive. This location is very close to home. Décor is nice, simple, and clean. Staff is friendly. My only complaint is it's very loud. Same as the other location. I'll update after I eat. After lunch update: Delicious. Just like the original location. Tortillas are made fresh when you order. They are thick corn tortillas that go great with the birria. I ordered the Classica, which is birria in consume with totillas. You also get a mix of cilantro and onion and a few limes. My son got the birria taco tour - three different tacos. Both were $11.99. Portions could have been a bit bigger, but this food takes time to prepare and is a good value. They may have a few kinks to iron out since they have only been open two days. Things should speed up when they get volume. We will definitely be back many times in the future. read more

Despite what some others have said about this location compared to the OG in Santa Ana, I just ate at the Orange location twice in the last two days and it was excellent both days and did not disappoint in any way. I used to go to the Super Birria in Santa Ana, until the one in Orange opened up. I stopped by today and had the dorado tacos with consume. The consume was great! Very tasty and hearty. My first hint that it would not be good is when my food was served to my table within 3 minutes or so. I wasn't wrong . The crunchy birria tacos were reheated and on the hard side. Sadly, I wanted to wait for other reviews before I posted my inaugural visit to the new Orange restaurant. Their original restaurant in Santa Ana was highly recommended by my son who rated it in his top 10 of his 52-week taco tour in 2000. I'm hoping that our experience was due to an early opening and not to something else. The service was slow, the Birria was a bit below average, and the beverages were limited to non-alcoholic choices. The new restaurant is very nice and closer to our home. Parking during busy times may be challenging with "99 cents" and Harbor Freight stores on both sides of the new restaurant. I was super disappointed this place should not have the same name as the Santa Ana location. Not the same food. I was happy to hear that la super birria opened a location 7 min away from my home. I ordered my favorite items that I usually get from Santa Ana. The pizza birria is smaller. The birria ramen had no liquid in it. I asked to add cheese and it was burned. The dorado tacos were not golden or crispy and the home made tacos were not even completely filled. The militas were ok but pArtially burnt.The lack of flavor was the first thing I noticed when I first bit the tacos. $70 wasted. read more

It's considered as a fast food joint so I am not expecting much service, but the lady brought us the condiments and the free chips. The food was authentic and delicious. The lady who helped was a delight, not only making suggestions but also explaining the dish to me. Very kind and sweet. Great customer service.
