I showed her one picture and told her this is the design I usually wear but if she couldn't do it I would go with ombré she took one look and said I can do that and showed me all the different colors I was in love. Anna went right to work and she did a different technique then what I was use to for my design but it was awesome I'm so in love with my nails I can't stop looking at them didn't even have to tell her the shape are length she was dead on! The staff are so nice and will always try to fit you in and are honest about the wait time. I should have known that this is a sketchy place to do nails when all the windows and doors are boarded up. We walked in through the back, thinking it was the front and were directed by a rude little boy to sit down and close the door. It was as if they were afraid law enforcement would find out their illegal opening during this pandemic. Our appointment was at 4 pm. We sat and sat and sat, for a good 30+ minutes before we were directed to sit at two chairs to get our pedicures done. If you are ready to be price-gouged, by all means, come through ladies and gents. My boyfriend was told that to get a regular pedicure, it would be $30 and to get the deluxe, he would need pay $45. I opted for the $30 option. I then told my nail lady that I needed my manicure done as well as I added that to our appointment. She looked very put off that I wanted a regular pedi and mani. She then cut down my toe nails, very lazily and minimally even though I told her I wanted it super short. Nothing around my nails were cleaned. In fact, I can still see some dirt and particles around my nail beds that needed cleaning. No scrubbing of the feet, nothing. That, people, costed me $30. Now onto my finger nails. I wanted it squared. She just took her filer and simply filed my nails and then painted them. They were so crooked, uneven, and sharp, even after telling her thrice to fix them. Nothing was fixed. My nails were so sharp around the edges, I could cut a bitch. That costed me $18. And to make matters worse, there were customers in the darn place who took off their mask and one was even seen eating. Is indoor nail salon even supposed to be opened during this time?!!! I should have given her $0 tips because she sucked so bad. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had and to be price-gouged definitely makes it a double whammy. They asked me to check their work along the way which was awesome until they got inpatient and started disrespecting me screaming "okay! Okay! Okay!" "Got it!"Getting frustrated with me while I remained calm expressing what type of frenchie I wanted. There's no reason to lash out on somebody who's paying for the service I usually don't speak up but it's her birthday week and it's not fair paying $60 plus and not getting anything close to what you asked for. Horrible. First I came in and they took me and cousin right away. But we sat there doing nothing for 10 mins with no service what so ever. Then I was finally helped by a lady named HOLLY, never go to her specifically. Waste of my time and money. I got there at 12:15 I showed her exactly what I wanted, color and shape. Which were basic ballerina/ coffin shaped nails with a light gray matte color. So she was doing my nails and not once didn't she try to converse with me. I had to ask her for name. Then she went on and talked to the lady doing my cousins nails. As she was doing the shape of my nails, I kept looking at them to see if they were the right size. And I wanted them shorter and she kept insisting longer. And I had to say no multiple times. Then as she was filing them, they were ALL crooked. I'm not even over exaggerating. So I had to kept asking her to keep filing. Then when it came to the color, she didn't even help me find a color that matched the picture. I had to look myself and I really felt rushed. But by this time I had been in the shop for 2 hours. So I was completely over it and upset. So as she was doing my nails, I kept trying to put it inside the machine so they could dry one hand as she painted the other and she would tell me not to. Then after she finished both hands, she then rudely said put them in the machine with attitude. When it was time to put the matte top coat, it was the same situation except as soon as she finish, she left me to go to another client and completely left me hanging until 5 minutes had past and she yelled across the room, you're done. Didn't even check. So I get up to go pay for these horrific nails and as I get my wallet, most of my nails got messed up. And they looked at me as if it were my fault. And I said, you told me to get up and they were dry. Then she told me that I should of checked them. And I just asked for the refund for the nail color which was $2. And then yelled at me to sit down so they could take the color off. And I said no because by this time 2.5 hours of my life had been wasted and I didn't have anymore time to be wasted. As for my cousins nails, her hell manicure was fine up till we realized that the color they put of her nail wasn't even the color she picked. So I wasted $61 on this place. I had to go home and reshape my nails and repaint them myself. I will NOT be coming back. read more

So rude I made an appt I showed up they were busy no problem I understand that but because she overbooked when the manager got to me she tried to force services that were faster for her so she could get to the next person. I get there and there's people at every outside station. The owner asked what I need I said a pedicure, I just called she told me one minute. I step on the water because it barely covers my feet and she begins. You'll notice from the photos she squated in front of me for the pedicure, so you know it was a quick job. About 15 minutes later she tells me it's $30.00! For what??? I know we're outside and I can't expect the same service as normal but this was by far a RIP OFF! Now.....I really did like their pedi. Their deluxe pedi was $44.00 and apparently if you want gel polish you will get charged an extra $17.00!!! For gel polish no design. Then the fill was $36.00 and you get charged a CARD FEE of $3 to take your money. YALL dont understand how upset I am right now because I came in here wanting to be a regular client but after I saw my receipt I regretted it instantly. TIFFANY NAILS charged me $100 for a gel pedi and mani and I get champagne and all the tools came in sterilized packages UNLIKE HERE were I saw them rinse nail clippers in water and lay them out to dry! This is how people get infections. I'm beyond disgusted this is the dirtiest place I have ever been in and hope that any people reading this stay away unless you want to give out $100 to a lady who will cut your fingers up. Oh and two of their employees got in a full vietnamese argument pointing fingers and yelling making the whole situation worse. I love this spot for pedicures! I've been coming here on and off for a few years, and I've tried to find comparable places around the Bay Area but they just don't exist. After paying $42 for my last mani/pedi, which was mediocre, I was hurting for a visit to La Spa. I used to always get the $20 standard pedicure. I've brought family and friends here, and they all love it. I love that they have a frequenter card! I rather enjoy seeing those stamps rack up until my free pedi! Yesterday I went back after almost a year-long absence (had to save money), and they offered me a deluxe pedicure. $35. Whoa, man! Lemon scrub, mint mask, some kind of oils, hot towels, and extra massage! After working 44 hours in the last four days, my feet were LOVING this, and the extra $15 was easy to fork over. I've also had my legs waxed here a few times. Anna did a good job and was pretty thorough. I've walked in more times than I've made appointments, and I can't remember waiting more than 5-10 min to get into a chair, but I also tend to try to make it in during more obscure hours to limit the competition. The place is clean, the chairs are comfy, and it's pretty easy to drift off to the shop rumble. Being in downtown San leandro, there are a ton of nail salon options. My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out. He got a men's mani/pedi, and I got a regular pedi and a gel polish manicure. The total price for the two of us was $87 before adding tip (his $39 and mine $48). I thought they did just okay. Next time, I'll probably try another salon, just cause I'm still trying to find a place I love. There are 8 manicure booths, and 6 pedicure chairs. There were 8 women working there. Something was wrong with their plumbing, cause they had to fill the pedicure tubs by hand, but the water was SO HOT. They had an ice cooler filled with cold water to try to even out the temp, but it wasn't the greatest. There were a handful of men working there too, probably working in the plumbing, cause they had a bunch of copper pipes and we're using tools and stuff. Two women got their brows waxed while we were there, and they have menu options for all sorts of nail/facial/waxing services. I can't comment on how good they are though. read more

I was charged twice and did not know until I looked at my credit card statement. I came here for a mani and pedi and was seated in the pedicure chair right away. But I noticed 2 of the employees were arguing. Everyone getting their nails done was watching the argument because it was so loud. I was hoping neither of the 2 ladies who were arguing would do my nails but then one of them ends up doing my nails. And I have to say that the lady who did my pedicure did a great job! She was also nice to me. Then I was left alone for 30 minutes since there wasn't a table available for them to do my manicure. So this other lady who didn't speak English came to do my nails while I was still sitting in the pedicure chair. She did my nails standing up and my nails turned out so bad. I could have done a better job. So I was here for 2 hours just for a basic mani and pedi. The total was $48. When it was time to pay, I gave the lady my credit card. She did the transaction and the receipt printed out to $20. And she said sorry I charged it wrong. So she charged me the remaining amount which was $28. I did not think much of it. A few days later, I looked at my credit card statement and saw that I had 3 pending charges from LA SPA NAILS in these armounts: $48 $20 $28 I told my fiance about this and he told me to wait a few days because it's just a pending charge and maybe the mistakenly charge of $48 will be removed. A few days later, the charge went through. So, I printed out my credit card statement and went to LA Nail Spa and also brought my 2 receipts (the one of $20 & $28). I talked to a woman and she apologized and took my credit card statement (I ripped off the rest of my statement that was unnecessary for her to keep, of course!). She said this is not the first time it has happened and that she will talk to her boss and call me the next day. She did not call me so I called her. She said they can't find the $48 receipt in paper form. Well of course because it was never printed. I didn't even know of this charge. So she tells me to wait a few days and see if the charge will be removed from my statement and if it did not, to come back and get a refund or a $48 credit for the next time I get my nails done there. And this is what I don't get - if you aren't going to take any action or call the bank to remove this charge, why would the charge randomly remove from my credit card statement? So I waited 4 days - it was not removed from my statement. I went back to LA Nail Spa and waited 15 minutes for that lady to get in the shop and process my refund finally. This process took about 2 weeks and I will NOT return back. TIPS 1. Do not let them do your fingernails while you are sitting on the pedicure chair. Your nails will look a LOT better when they are doing it on the table. 2. TRY not to let someone who barely knows English charge you/ring you up! I don't know how the lady charged me $48 without her or me knowing about it since no receipt was printed out for that amount. read more

Positives: Very accommodating with scheduling. We booked 2 hours in advance on a Sunday. They were nice and found an open appointment. Friendly reception. We came in right on time and they were waiting for us. We didn't have to wait at all. My toes look great! The polish job was neat and well-done and I am loving the color/gloss. This is a good place for a polish ($22). Plenty of free parking. Negatives: -too many simultaneous appointments. She had to keep switching between me and another client, resulted in longer waits between steps and less attention to detail (especially with the 'clean-up' part of a pedi). I didn't get the full $39 "deluxe" treatment like my friend did (her manicurist didn't have another simultaneous client, so she paid 100% attention). I wish they had told me they were too busy and I might have just done the polish. -Long fingernails and technique (she went too fast and didn't find the right pressure points - her nails dug into me) -- it made the massage uncomfortable. I couldn't relax and enjoy. -Stuff strewn about on tables and the floor. Cotton balls, towels, bottles. I always get Natural nails with DND gel. I do not normally go here for nails but I do for eyebrows. They took 45 minutes to "soak off" my DND gel polish. I have never had this happen. They used a small bottle of what I assume is a soak off liquid. She then scrapped and soaked my nails in acetone. Took another 20 to paint. I have never encountered this with DND gel polish and I always get the same color, my usual salon wraps tin foil and pre-saoked cotton swabs on each nail and poof the gel is off and my nails are painted and polished/dryed in under 30 minutes. Way too long for my patience level I am not one who enjoys sitting in the salon esp during covid. they charged $5 more than their posted price, I asked if it was bc of how long it took to get then gel off and they said no prices went up. I recommended they also update their price list. I walked out into the sun and saw one nail looked really weird and the top coat was not on right, it began to bubble. I walked across the street to shop for something and by the time I was done maybe an hour, my whole left hand had the ugliest paint job. In the sunlight you could see a messy bubbly, and overall bad top coat. I walked back in and politely asked if she could fix it, she filed down the bubbles on my left hand and took the time to investigate the right hand too, which she found to have more bubbles also, glad she caught that. So another 15 minutes to file down the bubbles and to re-do top coat. She said she did not dry them properly. She left me and told me to switch hands and dry my other hand myself. I did so and I also tried it twice more (both hands at 90 seconds) to be sure, and left I think they do a good job with eyebrows, costs $12 and I always tip $5 no matter what service I get. Overall they are friendly and looks clean and they always seat me rather fast, but I always see folks waiting for pedicures which I never get. I am sticking to my regular salon for nails and here for eyebrows. My regular salon which uses the same brand DND is faster and just $5 cheaper. I will admit that I can see that the polish looks like a nice thinner coat more natural to my nail, compared to my normal place with does it a bit thicker but you can barely notice. I also love the speed and don't recommend here if you don't want to sit long. Side note: I only did not go into my regular spot bc honestly it is mostly a hair salon and I never see another person getting their nails done there -I wanted coffin shape nails and figured LA Nails would be more knowledgeable about nails shaping since they're much busiesr but NOPE My nails are "short" as they are natural but I brought in several photos of "coffin shape" nails on short, natural nails-like mine and she said she could not do it, no problem-I rather they admit that than to attempt it and maybe ruin them, but I was still a bit confused. It's just a slight file on either side with a flat top? LASTLY, this is for info only. These are nice humans who are providing a service, exposing themselves to chemicals and a life that can damage their own beauty for our own sake, So TIP if you get a service. Advocate for yourself and ask questions/speak up if something looks wrong with your service but don't be rude, and at the end of the day we should all pay a bit more for better quality polish/service/and so these ladies/men can have a good living too. read more

I have been coming to this nail shop for almost 8 years. I have always gone to Lynn as I like how meticulous she is, within recent years I have found that she is kind of rough now. Today I scheduled an appt and told Lynn I would be coming at 515 she said that was ok, I then called her because I was running 10 minutes late, she told me to give her 30 minutes. I said fine I'll kill a little time as I live in ANTIOCH. Walk in and she says I said tomorrow.
