Great pizza, but they don't deliver. Neither on their own, nor through any of the delivery apps. What an antiquated model.

We came here at 8:30 on a Saturday night and absolutely loved it! We actually didn't order pizza but everything was delicious. My son and I shared the spaghetti and meat sauce and had some leftover. My husband got a Philly cheesesteak. My 15 year old got the meatball sub. It's such a quiet and nice place. It's reasonably priced also. read more

Loved this place!!!!! We were wanting a good meal for Christmas Eve and they were able to fit us in. We ordered a Brooklyn white pizza and it was sssssoooooo good!! Perfect crispy/chewy foldable pizza crust, great fresh ingredients and very flavorful. My folks ordered chicken Alfredo and chicken piccata. They both loved their entrees! Authentic New York style pizza. Thin and crispy and with toppings you only see on authentic pizza; you won't find this at Pizza Hut. Great pizza. The place is slammed at lunch time and is obviously very popular with all the businesses in the area. This seems like a quick bite type place or to go. Small and crowded so lunchtime is a little hectic if you intend to dine in. The ordering process and paying is a little disorganized and after you pay you wait in a herd of people for your order to come up. Pizza comes out of oven and tossed on counter leaving people to question "is that one mine?" Pizza was ok. Thin and crispy. Cheese and sauce was meh. A tad over cooked. Chuck e' cheese pizza. Delightful little hole in the wall with thin, crisp, delicious pizza of all kinds, as well as traditional Italian food that right all the right notes. Best part of this place though, is the people. First time here. I can't believe we have lived in Keller for 16 years and have not known about this gem of a place! The food is great and the place feels like home. The fried calamari was very tender and tasty. Entrees were great as well. Service was awesome. Prices were very reasonable and portions were huge. What's not to like?! ITS THE BEST, did you know Joe is the hardest working young man in that pizzeria? 6 days a week 15 hrs a day in front of an oven, did you know he uses only the freshest ingredients? You chodhu's you don't know shredded cheese should look it up, you're eating sawdust! How do you think the cheese at the store that's shredded stays apart? Went to this place last night for the first time. Let me tell you... this place is awesome! Great food, ambience and excellent service. What a great place! The slices of pizza are very large and tasty. Thin crust and warmed up in the pizza oven so it was nice and hot. Also had the Stromboli and it was very good also as was the sweet tea. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going back. read more

I went to La Scala for nice little holiday dinner with some old colleagues I hadn't seen in a while. The place is being remodeled, so some things are a little out of place, but I still thought it to be a cozy little establishment. I guess during the day, they serve up pizza, but considering I don't know much about Roanoke restaurants, I'm not familiar with their pizza. The girl that greeted us was nice and very forthright - which could easily be taken as rude, as mentioned by another reviewer, but her service was prompt and I liked her personality. She wasn't fake. We had a large group, considering it was a holiday dinner, and they took very good care of us. The appetizers here are delicious. We had calamari and stuffed mushrooms. Granted the calamari wasn't anything more spectacular than other places, the stuffed mushrooms were amazing! I have to say it was the sauce they were drenched in. I don't know what it was but after the mushrooms were gone, I was a lush about dipping the bread into this sauce. By the time our entrees came out, I was full of bread and delicious sauce. My friend and I ordered food to share - she got the Murphy Chicken and I got the Veal Saltimbocca. I didn't get to really taste the chicken, but my veal had been pounded thin, wrapped in prosciutto, breaded and fried real nice. It was then covered in provolone cheese and sat atop a delicious spinach broth/gravy. It was spectacular! So I have two words of advice when you go here: 1. Don't take the things the wait staff says to you to heart. If you're sensitive, then go eat somewhere else. 2. Make a stretch and order something besides pizza. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. I started going there a few months ago and was treated like I've even there for years and was apart of the family. Coming from a huge Italian/greek family, it has the same vibe as my family reunions. Think the Brooklyn version of the Cheers bar! The Italian is by far the best in the area and same goes for their prices. After only a few visits, I am now welcomed by name. Both of the owners are brothers. This is the type place you can go in without a friend with you, sit down and get lost in convos. With someone else in the place over a slice, chicken parm. Or a drink. This pizza is legit! Very good authentic New York pizza. I absolutely love the margarita and bbq pizza. So good! And the atmosphere, on the casual side, is the best. The family that owns and operations La Scala are welcoming and always willing to talk and interact with the customers. You can tell when a long time customer walks in, the family welcomes them and picks up the conversation from there last visit. Really cool place! So my husband works right here in this plaza, and I've been over to this area a dozen times. But I had never ventured into this little joint. So I figured I'd give it a go and see what the food was like. I dined in at 3 pm-it was desolate inside of there. I was the only customer on this day. They waited on me promptly and I placed my order. Instead of the pizza, which is clearly visible, I ordered off the menu. The pizza did not look that appealing, in my opinion. So I order the Lobster ravioli and garlic knots. The knots arrived first and looked delicious (as you can see from the picture I posted.) But I was disappointed, they weren't soft. They were what I consider to be crunchy/hard. I dipped in the olive oil and still felt they were too "crunchy" for my personal taste. The garlic was there, in flavor form, but the texture really wasn't up to par. So the ravioli arrived. It was covered in ooey gooey cheese. It, too, looked amazing. But yet again I was less than satisfied. It wasn't that it tasted bad, it just didn't taste great. It was merely okay. My belly wasn't still hungry, but it also wasn't satisfied. That's never a good sign in my book. The ravioli was piping hot, so it did appear fresh. I was just really bummed about it. There were some tables that still had dirty dishes on them, but I don't know how long the earlier guests had been gone. But what I can say, is that those dishes were still there when I left. I ended up cleaning my own table, it was sticky and had pieces of food still left on it. But one of the kitchen staff did have himself a nice big plate of food and found his way to the dining room to set and eat while I was there also. So for a first impression, not exactly the greatest. Unless I'm hard pressed for food, I highly doubt I'll go back. Could it have been just "one of those days"-well yea, sure it could have been. But am I willing to take a chance on it again-NO! read more

Not sure what the people who gave 1 and 2 stars were thinking, but in my opinion this place is amazin! The owners are from Brooklyn and this is real, authentic and delicious Italian food. The pizza is real NY style and the pasta dishes are great. This has got to be one of the best Italian joints in Texas. If you stay at the Marriott, do yourself a favor and eat here. The bar is also a lot of fun and the staff is super friendly. They have a huge menu selection and I ate here 3 times while on buisness travel and every meal was great. You should definitely try the pizza if you are only going to eat here once. read more

We tried the pizza and the calamari tonight based on other reviews. Sadly both pizza's were extremely dry with very little sauce, cheese or toppings. The crust wasn't bad, but that didn't make up for everything else lacking. The calamari definitely was not fresh either, but the marinara sauce was good. I was most off put by the heavy stench of cigarettes as soon as I walked in; didn't think they allowed that in restaurants anymore. Don't waste your time read more
