I created an account just to write this review, sadly. We got the fajita burrito and three tacos (two chicken and one asada). The fajita burrito's veggies maybe touched the stove for 30 seconds and the chicken inside had zero seasoning. The asada in the taco is incredibly tough and the chicken, again, zero flavor. I cannot see myself ever coming back with there being many other options now. Edit: Ended up throwing away over half of the burrito and two and a half tacos. Couldn't stomach it. read more

Food was not good. The chicken burrito was super chewy. The "chicken" tasted weird and was over seasoned like you're trying to cover up bad meat. I pulled out most of the piecey/chewy chicken bc I couldn't swallow it and just tried eating the rest bc I was so hungry. Not sure if this was an off day and they just used bad chicken. My sister had only gone here for margaritas which she said she and her friends thought were good but after my chicken and her veggie burrito it's a no go on the food for us. read more

0 stars but had to leave 1. we arrived and they were out of most meats. it was 7pm. we were hungry so decided to stay. that was a mistake. we were brought extra tacos we didn't even order because they had just ran out of yet another meat. when we asked for the extra tacos that we didn't order or eat to be taken off the bill, the server refused. we paid the full tab and didn't leave a tip. to top it all off, one of us got food poisoning from the pollo asado. I wish I had read the reviews before deciding to have dinner here. just don't go here. you'll waste your money, leave disrespected and sick. update: 3 hrs later and someone else is sick. read more

Um, kinda crazy. Was just trying to get some quick food on a long bike ride. Order was double of what we wanted and we thought there was going to be way too much food. Order comes out a long time later, and it was two of the smallest enchiladas I've ever seen, with very small portions of beans and rice. Service was okay, but it was just kinda silly that someone's son is handing us these thieving enchiladas with an awkward smile and gross mustache. At least we got to sit outside away from the tv playing a bunch of ads and beauty product infomercials. Bathroom has barstool, mini fridge, and phone holder above toilet paper. Torta with the spicy pork was sooooo good! Their pork is smokey and so flavorful and was so nice with the crispy warm bun! My boyfriend got the HUGE supreme burrito with all 3 meats and it was delicious. Also loved the mango margarita, it was tropical and not too sweet. Great service as well. So happy they were open even during such a snowy day, it was so fun to walk there for a warm meal! read more

The wife and I were wandering around downtown Corvallis on a Friday night. Stopped in at a couple other places to check things out they just didn't seem to feel like a good vibe. Ended up here had some delicious steak tacos in a couple of beers. They have a nice outside seating area set up on the sidewalk and some indoor tables as well and of course do a healthy takeout business. All in all with some chips and guacamole a couple of beers to tacos a piece and a nice tip we got out of there for under $30 which is always great for a Friday night date night. read more

Ate here growing up all the time and I still do because everything on the menu is delicious. I usually get the tacos because they are super affordable and gluten free. This is one of the most flavorful restaurants I have been to, most dishes are actually spicy without adding hot sauce and the hot sauce they do give you appears to be made in-house because it is not too salty and the red sauce has a unique flavor from any other hot sauce I've had. The burritos are great too, there is always a good ratio of the different ingredients in them. Even the bean and cheese burritos are delicious. read more

Price: First off, the prices aren't THAT bad -- $5.75 for a medium burrito is a little bit more than I would like to pay, but sometimes it pays off. Drinks however, are a little bit spendy -- watch out and be prepared to pay a little bit extra Service: Excellent -- never a bad experience with the staff Quality: It's pretty hit or miss -- half the time you get the burritos and they're out of the ballpark....and the other half you get the burrito and it's just sortof bland and not worth mentioning. Normally, I'm the biggest fan of La Roca (Rockita), but not this one. I've been going to the ones on 9th, Kings, and out in Newport, and I love their food, but I've had problems with this restaurant. My most recent trip gave me food poisoning. Up most of the night... I would recommend trying the one on 9th street if any because the food is often better. read more

The Good: Owned by the same folks as La Rockita on 9th, the Mexican food here is tasty and pretty darn cheap. $4-$5 nets you a huge "small" burrito. Much more seating and parking than the one on 9th, and 2 big screen TV's. The Bad: The Chile Verde was a little off the one time I had it here. Could have been just an off day. The Ugly: There was a radish slice included on the taco I ordered. I didn't eat it, and it didn't detract from the experience, but I'd certainly never encountered a radish in a Mexican place before! When i moved back to Corvallis, from the burrito heaven that is San Diego, i was worried i wouldn't find good mexican food. I was happy to find La Roca (now, la rockita). Oh, and radish in mexican food isn't weird at all. I always get vegetarian options, of which there are many. read more

I've eaten here a handful of times and sampled several items from the menu. I really wanted to give this place a chance, but sadly I've come away unimpressed on multiple occasions. Several times I've tried the combo plates and found the beans to be so salty that I couldn't finish them. The sauces have been a bit strong, tasting like they came from a jar rather than fresh and the salsa, though good in flavor, was very thin. About half the time, I've gotten a burrito that had great flavor and the other half it has been very bland and a couple of times that I've had a chicken dish the bits of bone and gristle were a definite turn off. read more

I will admit that my initial impression of the location (the chips and salsa) was set with apprehension. I hadn't even received my burrito entree and was already drafting my dismal review thinking I would save potential foodies the disappointment. HOWEVER, my position quickly changed when they wheeled out the burrito that at first glance looked to be a watermelon wrapped in foil! It was at that very moment that I learned a valuable life lesson about not being to quick to judge. I know what your thinkn right about now, yeah it was big but was it good?!? Yes, size was every bit the flavor. After all, it is a burrito and would take some work to screw up, but this was a burrito above reproach! For a moment, I even forgot about the chips and salsa...lol. Follow on to my previous post, it says a lot about a local business working hard to deliver on quality...for me personally, it says a hell of a lot more when they care enough to not only read, but also reply and offer a little more insight. I came here recently and only ordered two tacos and a drink, making my total around $7. I tipped 20% bringing my total to $9, which I signed the slip of paper for. The next day while checking my bank records I came to find the lady who had serviced me ran my card for $17 giving herself a $10 tip. That is absolutely horrible service and I'd worry she did it to other customers. I was unlucky to have not taken the receipt or else I would've returned to the location. Practically the only mostly authentic Mexican restaurant me and my fiance have eaten at in Oregon. Great flavor in their meats and rice put into their burritos. Cannot attest to anything besides their burritos because that's all we have eaten so far, but so far, so good! Burritos are pretty good here, but the service is lacking. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and they mixed up my burrito with hers, resulting in a big mouthful of beef for her. If you're looking for decent Mexican food in Corvallis, you can do better. read more
