Never been here. Was very disappointed. Got two taco quesabirria, the meat was very very dry, and hard like it was over cooked and sat out too long. Quesabirria is suppose to be soft moist full of flavor. The home made tortilla shells had no flavor, were cold and tasted like they were made the day before. Your local chain, exclusive to Oregon. They have 3 locations; Eugene, Portland and Corvallis. As the name suggests Tacos Galore... They do have other items as well. This place gets packed. Looks like its a popular spot with the locals. By the time we left there were no empty seats in the house. The venue is a good size and there is plenty of parking. There is also a decent outdoor dining area in the back. The staff is friendly and helpful, they may get overwhelmed a bit at times, they never brought out the requested extra chips, we had to get it ourselves. #Tacos: ~ Seafood Taco - 4.5/5 This thing was stuffed with Scallops and Mango pieces. No complaints from me. Scallops were lightly fried...hence the description; "Tempura Bay Scallops" Loaded, Crunchy and Savory. good stuff. ~ Carnivore Taco (Bacon-Cheeseburger) 3.5/5 This sounded better on paper. Looks like it was missing some Beef...lol. They definitely skimped on the Beef on this one. I couldn't even taste the Bacon. It was OK. The Fried Pickled Cucumber stood out the most...lol ~ OLD E. - 3.5/5 I thought I ordered the "OLD E." Whatever I got didn't exactly match the description. Where is the Hard Shell?! Tacovore! Yum! When we first discovered this restaurant a few years ago, I thought, "Where have you been all my life?"!!! I Love this place!!! Tacos! Chips, salsa, tacos, amazing drinks, amazing atmosphere, amazing hot sauces!!! I wish they were closer or that I was closer. But, last week we were in Corvallis, so I was closer. Tacovore is one of my favorite places to go for meals. I grew up in Portland and went to the NE one when it opened; seriously, these are the best tacos ever. I love the carnitas and pescado ones. They also have happy hour from 3-5 and 8-close every day. They have both inside and outside seating, which was amazing since it has been so nice outside. They are also a dog-friendly restaurant, which is a bonus. read more

Great margaritas, especially the Jalapeno & Pineapple variety! The only things I give it one less star are for the hours (9:00pm closing?) and you have to pay for chips and salsa. Tacovore is a cozy spot to enjoy a huge taco and a perfectly crafted margarita. Fresh squeezed and a better than well tequila for the kick. I get the tofu taco every time. It is breaded and has a peanut sauce that is bursting with flavor. My partner and I have tried many tacos. The fish is one that gets a lot of raves, too. I think no matter your protein, you'll fall in love. Chips and salsa are good here. I recommend going to the cooler downstairs or upstairs and hitting the salsa bar. There's a verde one that really slaps. I can't get enough. The vibe is fun, and the staff and barkeep are topnotch. It's always fun and there's lots of seating. They accommodate larger parties, too. i've gone here enough times that i have a favorite order. i typically get the tempura fish and then the shrimp. with the mango salsa on the side. i will sometimes get the chips and guac/salsa/queso but it's nothing crazy. the tacos are definitely the best part. (i do also enjoy getting a fruity margarita now and then.) the inside is just a little too dark for me, so i usually enjoy eating outside. and the staff are always attentive. definitely a favorite place of mine! read more

Went there this afternoon it was a very nice restaurant. The employees were excellent. Had a cute little bar. I ordered the shrimp taco the presentation was beautiful and I was excited ,unfortunately it tasted like fish. It didn't taste like shrimp at all. It was shrimp, I was looking at it , but it only tasted like fish and I hate fish tacos , so they must've somehow cross contaminated fish and shrimp and yeah It lost the shrimp flavour completely only fish ,which I hate, so I'm not sure if it was an issue with the cook, but yeah. I would though go back and try it again , hopefully then it'll taste like shrimp and not fish and I will post a positive review read more

We enjoyed our dinner at Tacovore, but those wanting a more authentic taqueria experience may be disappointed. The food definitely has elements of traditional Mexican tacos, but many of the flavor combinations are "coloring outside the lines" of what you might expect. The service was friendly, and the food came out quickly, but at times it almost seemed rushed. It was a lovely, almost-fall day, so we sat outside at one of the many available picnic tables (which is where everyone else was sitting that day). It made for a nice ambiance. We ordered chips with salsa and guacamole to start. The chips were small and fairly thick, and the salsa thin and smoky. The guac was really good, with just a hint of heat to it. I wasn't sure how big the tacos were going to be, so I only ordered two; but I would go with three of them next time. They do come stuffed full of quality ingredients, but they are quite expensive compared to a traditional taqueria -- three tacos would run you around $16 total. I opted for one Carne Asada, and one Carnitas -- and found the warm flavors of the roasted pork carnitas to be my favorite. The chile peppers on that one also added a nice kick. Both tacos came on delicious, soft and thick homemade tortillas. One area where I was disappointed was with the horchata drink. For the price, it was a very small glass, and the horchata itself had an odd floral finish to it -- I found it very unpleasant. It wasn't the same cinnamon-y goodness that I am used to. I would definitely come back to Tacovore, because even non-traditional flavors can be delicious. But I would get an agua fresca or a margarita next time to accompany my tacos. read more

Last night my son and I had dinner at Tacovore. the service was very mediocre young lady got the order wrong. I ordered 3 ground beef tacos I got one my son ordered a variaty and that was wrong. so I could barley eat the one and the other two arrived they were not edible had old filler in them and the shells were so tough I couldnt chew them I had to fork the ingredents out of them, but I shouldnt have I was up all night with the worst indiestion. One of the worst restaurant experiences ever. Food (cauliflower taco, black bean/rice bowl) had clearly been prepared hours ahead, maybe even a day ahead. Who serves a cold tortilla filled with greasy, cold cauliflower, cold beans, and cold rice? I mean they literally didn't even heat up the tortilla. If they just want to serve drinks, become a bar. One of my favorite restaurants in Corvallis! Tacovore serves up a delightfully diverse menu with vegan, vegetarian, and carnivorous options. Definitely order the tacos here (and be sure to explore their specials menu), but also treat yourself to a little something extra, too. Whether it's chips and guac, a specialty alcoholic beverage, or a dessert flan (or all three!), Tacovore's menu is one that is worth exploring. It was here that I discovered my love for cauliflower as a meat substitute, as well as my love for hibiscus-ritas. There's really something here for everyone, whether you like sticking to more "standard" tacos or are a more adventurous eater. There's also entrees that aren't tacos, like salads and chili. The establishment itself is really cute - two stories of seating options indoors and some outdoor seating. You pick where you sit as long as a table is ready. My favorite place to sit is up top near the windows, especially in the evening on a clear day. It's a nice place to enjoy the sunset and a good meal. Service is friendly and efficient - orders have always gotten to our table within 20 minutes (usually more like 15), even on busy days. It has the fundamentals of a taco. You know a tortilla, protein, and toppings. But the too thick soft flour tortilla with "american" condiments/flavorings just tasted off to me. I would call it American-Mexican food, not Mexican-American food. But if that's your jam, this is your place! Service was quick, food came out quickly. I love the tacos here! As a vegetarian, I was also particularly pleasantly surprised at the fantastically crafted vegetarian options. My go to, and the group crowd pleaser (even for the meat-eaters) was the bean and cheese taco. So good. Then next up, the crispy cauliflower and crispy smoked so tofu. SO GOOD. The margarita was a little too on the sour side (but growing up on the border of Mexico, I'm probably extra particular about my margs ;) ) They do have a great bar menu! I have gotten almost everything on the menu and while I feel all of their ingredients are fresh and sourced from the best places, their dishes are generally a little bit on the salty side. Their policy about individual tickets for groups of six or more puts far too many obstacles in front of guests. I ordered Carne Asada and Tempura Fish tacos and both were overcooked. The meat in the carne asada was the consistency of rubber scraped off a dragstrip. The fish was fried far too long destroying the moisture and flavor of the fish. If you're a local, you most likely have heard of Tacovore! I have heard of it so much over the last year or so and because of Covid and just not finding the time, hadn't had a chance to see what all the hype was about until now. I have a few favorite places in town as I know Corvallis very well. I could easily see this place being added to the list. This review is just based off of the one taco I tried, so keep that in mind. I wasn't very hungry but I knew I needed to try something. What caught my eye was the Venison taco they have, called the Carnivore. I thought it was soo good! I'm not usually a fan of corn tortillas because they seem to always be dry and/or chewy. I honestly really enjoyed this one, and obviously that's the foundation of a good taco. I didn't really know in advance what was inside of it but each bite seemed to bring out more flavors. It was sweet but savory. Veggies tasted very fresh and the elk was great. I wish I had ordered more but now have more to look forward to next time! I ordered inside but did carry out. The staff member I interacted with was super cool, genuine, and kind. I think his name was Lucien? Anyways, they bring the food out to your car and it didn't take more than a few minutes for my food as well as my friends order. As far as I can see, they do very well at following the county Covid restrictions. Offering hand sanitizer at the door and the counter.
