Found a piece of plastic in my beans. I'm disappointed because the last time I went to La Rienda I had a good experience but haven't been back in years and now will not be back. Also the steak tacos were incredibly salty and barely edible.

Queso?

Was really craving Mexican food, the chips were good so I asked for Queso... was brought and charged $11 for a solid block of cheese and butter...lost our appetite quick and didn't even want to order full meals. The drinks and deserts were good tho. A little pricey too

Picked this spot on a whim on our way home to Hunterdon County, and we are so happy we did! Everything was so fresh and delicious and you could tell it was homemade. The Steak a la Mexicana was spicy and flavorful with tender steak, the Carne Adobada was chargrilled and delicious, and my seven year old was raving about the kids quesadilla. We also really enjoyed the guacamole and queso fundido appetizers. Do not miss the homemade salsas and hot sauces! And of course- a margarita!

Decent Mexican but nothing good enough to make me want to come back. We visited after completing a nearby hike and service was great but food was average. They also didn't honor the Yelp check in discount.

Shrimp with wine, lemon, & a hint of Cajun spice- yummy!

First time here. The food is very special. The hot sauce has a lot of flavor and heat. Already making plans to return.

The food was so good we felt homesick for CR again. We ordered the Cena Tipica Hondureña (traditional meal). The steak was obviously marinated because the flavors of that, plus the chargrilling effect, was delicious! Especially loved those creamy refried beans they're famous for in Central America. Also ordered 2 pupusas (a favorite). We're taking home an order of churros and a piece of Tres Leches. I confess the biggest surprise was how fast the service was. As they're so new, I really expected very slow service but we did not wait more than 5 minutes! I must say that the ambiance is very much for take-out but we decided to eat in and it did not take away from the flavor. HIGHLY recommend this place if you want very authentic Central American cuisine.

For my first time visiting this new restaurant I went with the Chicken Taco Platter which is served with customer's choice of Rice and Beans. I opted for Refried Beans with White Rice which both went very well with my fully loaded Chicken Street Tacos. And with a slight addition of some of their Authentic Hot Sauces I was definitely in my happy place. At least until I finished my meal and then it was right back to reality, and the daily grind.   But that's totally cool because I can always come back and try something else off this amazingly delicious looking menu and return to my food coma happy place once more. Authentic Spanish cuisine from a family that takes pride and puts love into every dish. Starting…read morewith the bread, oil and olive course, next the beautiful salad. Then the appetizer- we had the shrimp with garlic sauce, the chorizo and the grilled octopus. All 3 as if we were in Spain. Entree's all were accompanied by vegetables rice and chips. We had the cod, red snapper and halibut. Then we split a chicken Piaya - the house specialty. Having had piaya in the past it seems to be overwhelming rice but this was not. Great balance of ingredients sauce flavor and rice. We tried a couple of the sauces on the side for the fish and while excellent- they were not necessary as the fish was excellent on its own. We also enjoyed a flan for dessert and cafe and cappuccino. Considering the amount of food we had and leftovers I thought the price was quite reasonable. All servers and matre di were dressed in formal black and white and the room was a formal dining area. Truly enjoyable. We'll be back!

It was a large salad. Very tasty. Could have been more chilled. It was cool at best. I ordered the Paella Marinera. It was huge. Definitely shareable. Came with a half lobster, muscles, clams, and squid. It was really tasty. I usually have a pretty big appetite, but I could not finish it. After dinner, we order the flan and the pumpkin cheesecake. Both were good. Service was excellent. Multiple people handling the table and very attended. I highly recommend. Well visit next time I'm in the area
