I ordered a steak sandwich with fresh lemonade, really tasty and delicious... My mom had the Oxtail special with rice and beans, the food and service was very good, love the fresh lemonade... I love places which have a good selection of fresh food and great customer service, I will be back! Thank you!

Came with some friends who ate here before and recommended the Dominican food here. While service…read morewas a bit slow, and you're charged for water (no tap, only bottle), food was bomb. I got the fried Boca chica red snapper fish with yucca fries. Fish was fried to perfection. Fries were delicious and in an addictive garlicky sauce. I was disappointed because they have a specials menu but the waiter said none of the specials were available (and they had an oxtail stew for Sunday which would've been bomb)! My husbands fried chicken dish was so good. The wings, thigh, and drumstick were fried to perfection and super juicy inside. The tostones were delish too! There is valet parking but i think it's $15.

I rarely leave one-star reviews, but this experience--and the response to my feedback--left me with…read moreno choice. My friends and I arrived at Sho J Oregano's Crescent Avenue location at approximately 9:45 PM. The restaurant's posted closing time was 10:00 PM, yet we were told they would not seat us. Disappointed but willing to give them another chance, we paid for a taxi to their White Plains Road location, which was listed as being open until 11:00 PM. We arrived around 10:00 PM only to be told that they were also closed and would not serve us. The result? We wasted time, money on transportation, and an entire evening chasing a meal at a restaurant that was supposedly open. What made the experience even more disappointing was the response after I shared my review. Rather than acknowledging the inconvenience or apologizing for the confusion, the restaurant chose to challenge my account. I have no reason to misrepresent what happened. My review reflects exactly what my group experienced that evening. This isn't about expecting to be served after closing. It's about arriving during the posted business hours at two separate locations and being turned away both times. If the kitchen closes early or there is a last-seating policy, that information should be clearly posted online and at the restaurant. Customers shouldn't have to guess whether "open" actually means the business is still serving guests. For a restaurant that has received so much praise, I expected far better customer service and accountability. Great food can earn awards, but honesty, consistency, and respect for customers are what earn loyalty. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend making a special trip here unless you're prepared for the possibility that the posted hours may not reflect when they'll actually serve customers.

My sons recommended this restaurant for a birthday outing because when I'm in town my staples must…read morehave are pizza, bacon egg n cheese and delicious Spanish food. It was a Sunday and after happy hour which was good for me. There was a live DJ right in front of our table and ample dance floor space if that's what you want. Hence the music was extremely loud so conversation with my family was out of the question lol, but thankfully they were finishing up their set and we speak without yelling. The music that played after was loud but not drowning. Nice big space inside, lots of tables with very accommodating waiters and personable.. First time here and didn't ask about portion size of my choice but boy was I surprised. The lechoncito meal could easily feed 4 people and it was delicious. The appetizer platter was also good except for the rubbery calamari, that needs to melt in your mouth not have a competition in your mouth. Not a bad place if you want to hang out with friends or dinner spot. People were enjoying themselves for sure. Try it it's not terrible.

Saturday afternoon early dinner, five adults. This is our second time dining at coquito blu, the…read moreservice was excellent, very attentive people from the hostess, to the manager to the server from the beginning to the end. Being that it was early afternoon they didn't have the normal loud music which was perfect for us because we were looking to have a family dinner just food, drinks and conversation. The drinks were good, the appetizers tower was good and as requested they separated the appetizers due to food allergies. Now, as for the main dishes, some left more to be desired and some less to be desired. 1. The fried whole fish was excellent, very tasty and fried perfectly. 2. Two fried pork-chops w/red rice and potato salad. This dish was also good. Only thing undesirable was the potato salad, actually it tasted like commercial potato salad, bland and mayonnaisey. 3. Prime skirt steak, cooked very well as requested and delicious. Now, that yuca manchego mash that is served with the steak is definitely a big NO. It's Yuca, why mess it up by smothering it with oily globby cheese. 4. Havana chicken. The plating was pretty. But pretty isn't enough, it needs to taste good and this dish just didn't have flavor. Basic chicken and white rice with black beans in water. (The beans literally looked like they were served in the water they were soaked in). 5. The final dish was mofongo in a garlic sauce. No, absolutely not....not worth ordering. The mofongo alone had good texture and flavor, but when you sit it on a soaking bath of what tasted like mayo ketchup w garlic it's a an unsavory mess. Now, I know your motto indicates you offer a blend of cultural influences for a contemporary Latin experience but the Latin culture has Sazon and flavor and some of those dishes just lacked that. Would I recommend Coquito Blu, yes go get your drinks and appetizers...but go have dinner somewhere else.
