Combo Special Pizza

Excellent service ! Pizza was really really good! The top their pizzas off with tons of your choice toppings. No shortage with that. Really nice place with a balcony that over looks the street. Overall a dang good pace to snag a pie and a few beers!

Interesting place, kind of small, I chose to do take out, but I did notice there was a second dining area on the roof with a balcony. Honestly I wasn't really that hungry when I walked in, but when I opened the door, I immediately smelled the pizza cooking in the back and already my mouth started watering. They have a sort of small menu with a sort of bland atmosphere, but they do have pretty decent staff. I called in my order before hand, and within five or ten minutes, the food was ready. (Of course, the place was empty at the time, so they weren't busy) This place was actually recommended to my by my friends and I'm glad they did! This was one of the best pizzas I have ever had!

Last piece of garlic toast- 4 small pieces, lots of cheese, no flavor.

Disappointing!!! Recommended by many... but when I went, I was not impressed. I ordered a few hours ahead, and showed up just before. My order wasn't ready, but didn't wait long. The staff was a little bit odd. The kids in the back were all goofing around. I got a medium Chicken Garlic pizza and an order of garlic toast. Garlic toast- no flavor, surely forgot the garlic! Just cheese. And not even hot when I got it. Asked for marinara to dip- eh. Pizza - tasted like mayo for sauce. Only had chicken and cheese. onions tossed on the top. I'll bet they forgot to put the onions on before they cooked it, so they threw them on after. They were raw! And over powered the rest of the pizza, which was flavorless without them. Had hoped for something amazing. :/

Last week I stumbled upon La Prima because the girl at the front desk of El Bonita recommended it to me. They were one of only a few places open late in town, so I went in and enjoyed a glass of red while my pizza was being made. Because it was near closing, they were only offering pizza but I had my eye on the Big Family Salad. The extremely nice young man said he could go ahead and make it for me. Yay! We got to talking and I found out his name was Ernie, the son of the owners. He was so friendly and professional. It was very clear that he was proud of his work and really cared about the restaurant. I enjoyed talking to Ernie about Yelp and the restaurant biz. Anyway, when I got back to my motel room with the pizza - a combo with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions and bell peppers - and salad, I was very pleasantly surprised. This was by far the best pizza I've ever had!! The crust was perfect: crispy but not too thin. It was cooked perfectly. And then the salad! Fresh iceberg lettuce, fresh tomatoes, beets, and a huge mound of cheddar cheese and perhaps the best Ranch dressing (aside from my homemade) that I've ever had! I wanted to drink it! The portion of the salad and dressing was very generous! My salad and pizza that night was my dinner then my lunch and dinner the next day. With my glass of wine, 2 Sprites, a large salad & large pizza, my bill was $50 before tip. I fully intended to return before leaving St Helena 5 days later. Well, on our last night in Napa, we just had to get that pizza one last time. This time, Ernie my young new friend, was not in, but his dad Aldo was. Not as chatty as his son, but very nice and efficient. This time we got a veggie pizza with white and green onions, mushrooms & black olives. A medium pizza cost only $22 before tip. I'm not kidding when I say that I would literally drive back to St. Helena from San Rafael just for their Big Family Salad and that excellent pizza! See you soon, Ernie! You are a gem and your parents must be proud of you!

They gave us a cracker pizza that was burnt. No enjoyment one bite out of the slice .

It was a cracker of a pizza. Burnt and one bite out of the slice the rest was the cracker no enjoyment.

This is one of the better pizzas I've had in a long time. This place has many bad reviews but I definitely had no issues. They did indicate they didn't have delivery currently for various reasons but they were quick, friendly and the pizza was great.

Why is the grill constantly "closed" early? Full menu not readily avail so don't count on them for what you want.

I've visited a couple of times with my family, and each visit reinforces why this spot is so beloved. The atmosphere is effortlessly inviting, especially the relaxing outdoor seating, which feels perfectly suited to the easy pace of Napa Valley. It's casual, comfortable, and ideal for lingering over a good meal with people you enjoy. The food consistently delivers. Their calamari is a favorite--crispy, well-seasoned, and reliably delicious--and the pizza never disappoints, with a satisfying balance of fresh toppings and a perfectly cooked crust. Everything tastes fresh, comforting, and simply yummy in the best way. Service deserves special mention: the employees are friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making the experience feel warm and unrushed every time. Pizzeria Tra Vigne strikes a wonderful balance between quality food and relaxed dining, making it a place we're always happy to return to.

Disorderly service, & it was obvious our server's attention was stretched quite thin. We shared a Chopped Salad ($15.95) which was nothing to write home about; a delicious al dente Rigatoni Bolognese ($19.50); & a disappointing New Yorker pizza ($27.50 for the larger size.) Its soggy crust & tasteless pepperoni made me question why so many tables had a pie as part of their meal. Perhaps I'm missing something, but I would not recommend Pizzeria Tra Vigne for their pizza based on my single visit.

While working in St. Helena, I could never find an opening in a reservation, so here was a great opportunity now that all of us are retired. Our friends live in Clear Lake while we live in Vallejo, so this is a central place to meet. It was the best decision I made because every year for the past several anniversaries, we've gone to Cache Creek to C2. Their food and service is excellent because my husband enjoys poker, but I thought a change of scenery would be nice. And it was! Firstly, it was very kind of the staff to present us with a greeting card signed by everyone -- how sweet and thoughtful! We will cherish that! Secondly, we were very impressed with how the food/wine was locally sourced. It was incredible to hear the story about Custom, the Bull, and taste the difference between the Highland beef compared to Angus. Our waitress was "Erica S." She was engaging, personable, and very informative. My husband and I would definitely like to return to return to experience the dinner menu! We and our guests had the following dishes: Artichoke appetizer Arbororio Biscuits & Gravy Two Cheeseburgers Three Bloody Mary's Farmstead Margarita When they found out it was our anniversary celebration, the house sent over four glasses of complimentary champagne and a dish of dessert -- again, very sweet and kind of them I now understand why so many crowds flock to this restaurant! It's well worth the wait! If you have not experienced a meal there, you must definitely go now!

From the beginning, there seemed to be constant miscommunication between staff. We specifically booked an outdoor reservation and were seated inside instead. While mistakes happen, it set the tone for the rest of the evening. The bigger issue involved the wine and corkage fee. We purchased a bottle directly from the market associated with the restaurant and were told by the employee there that the corkage fee would be waived if we bought their wine. When we sat down, our server Sara told us that was not true and that we would still have to pay the fee. I explained what we had been told, and when she asked if I wanted a manager involved, I said yes. Before the manager even arrived or clarified the situation, the server opened our bottle of wine. In the silence and confusion, I reasonably assumed the fee issue had been resolved. Then the manager came over and told us we would still be charged and implied that nobody at the market would have told us otherwise. The way it was handled made my husband and I feel like we were being accused of making the whole thing up, which was especially upsetting on Mother's Day. At that point, the bottle was already opened, so we were essentially stuck paying the fee regardless. Between being seated incorrectly, the poor communication between employees, and how dismissive the situation felt, the service completely overshadowed what should have been a special meal. The rest of the service we felt ignored and there was minimal effort to accommodate. Great food alone is not enough to justify returning when the hospitality experience feels this frustrating and unprofessional.

A friendly reminder that they're very prompt with reservations. We thankfully didn't botch that, but factor in driving time. Staff: super friendly and accommodating. Ambiance: very, very intimate. Small and quaint. Also, the kitchen is open, so if you by chance sit in front of said kitchen, you will smell like food, like we did. My girls and I would normally opt for cocktails, but since we already did a tasting at Domaine Carneros, we needed to sober up a bit. There were a ton of CHP's so 'adulting'! They both got green tea, and I opted for an Americano. Two of us ordered the fazzoletti bolognese, and the other went for the spaghetti alle vongole. All 3 dishes came piping hot! Our bolognese was delicious. I wish I had asked for a side of bread b/c the sauce was good, and I think my friend wanted that for the vongole. Needless to say, we all inhaled our food (we needed carbs for the next tasting). Since we had time to spare, we opted to get dessert. My two friends ordered the affogato, and I opted for the strawberry panna cotta. I loved my panna cotta. It was creamy but not overwhelming, and the strawberries were the right amount of tart and sweetness. PS: their tap water had an aftertaste... it was weird. I ended up drinking my friend's hot water from her tea. Maybe it's RFK's no fluoride on water, but you can opt to get cocktails or not drink it. I will definitely visit again and prepare the wardrobe so that it doesn't end up smelling like food (my blazer had to be dry-cleaned to get the smell out). For the service and quality of food, it's definitely worth checking out, and the prices were reasonable for the area.

I was excited to see a kale salad on their menu, especially one with strong fixings such as squash and goat cheese; sadly, the ingredients were entirely AWOL. In the pre-mix photo, it appears like a relatively decent helping, but after mixing, it became a mountain of kale with the other ingredients having been a facade in the initial viewing. Classic shrinkflation by which a $20 salad (yikes!) is padded by a heap of greenery. Furthermore, the squash was undercooked and disappointing even in the few bites of it I had. I believe that the salad could be adjusted to be a satisfying meal (goat cheese is never a wrong choice), but right now it's a miss, for both the stomach and the wallet.
