I have been here a few times and have only received my order wrong when I placed it wrong. Sometimes I forget to request the pico de gallo which for some reason isn't a default on the carne asada fries. The place is small, usually quieter than you would expected and since most orders are to go, there is usually available seating. I wish there hot salsa was hotter, but all of their salsas have good flavor. Service is good, flavors are good for what it is. I'd recommend you try it out.

I believe they just picked the peanuts off the top and gave it back to me like I wouldn't notice. I do not recommend this place. I could have ended up in the hospital.

To top it off they offer a salsa bar which is getting more rare nowadays since a lot of places are getting so cheap and greedy with their hot sauce or even limits you. Their habanero salsa is really good it has a good kick and is actually pretty spicy. The avocado salsa is usually pretty good but this last time it was sooo salty it was inedible. The roasted salsa was good and spicy as well. Lately the last few times their salsas have made my stomach hurt really bad but that won't stop me. We've ordered the California burrito, carne asada, supreme burrito, fish burrito, hard shell shredded beef tacos and they were all pretty good. Decent sizes and meats were always juicy and flavorful.

Our coordinates: a hidden nebula in Spring Valley, sector designated "Campo Road," concealed within the unsuspecting asteroid belt of a strip mall. Word on the street, whispered through back alleys and encrypted comms, is that this is one of the "joints" to hit. Now, let me tell you, San Diego offers a whole fleet of culinary destinations. But this particular location, known as La Posta Acapulco - a name that even rolls off the tongue with a certain... gravitas - stood out like a freshly polished chrome hubcap. Upon beaming in, we were immediately greeted by Humberto, a man whose communication skills would put even a seasoned diplomat to shame. He was a 10, right off the bat, radiating a personality that could disarm a Klingon. He even offered us samples of the goods before we committed to the full transaction, a move that speaks volumes about their confidence in the product. Then, there was Roberto, the maestro on the grill, a true artist orchestrating a symphony of flavors. The presentation, my friends, was nothing short of fantastic. I've been eating food from this place ever since a #3 combination dinner cost $3.35. So yeah...it's been a while. Their cheese enchiladas haven't changed a bit in decades and they're succulent. I've become partial to the Guadalajara Taco lately. It's a huge thing...like an open-faced taco salad. You can't eat it with your hands so don't even try. It's my new favorite. I stopped by here for a quick bite to eat and enjoyed their service. The Cali burrito that I ordered was generous and the individual ingredients still tasted fresh. Unlike many of the nearby taco shops in Casa de Oro, La Posta offered us chips and salsa and had free water available. No frills, no thrills, just solid Mexican food. There's a reason it's been a local favorite for over a decade. If the regular menu prices aren't cheap enough, Taco Tuesday makes it cheaper. Who doesn't love mini tacos after a long work day. Especially $2.10 tacos. The plaza has decent parking and even when it's busy, you can usually find a spot. Most of the surrounding businesses are quick stop places, so you will find parking fast. Inside, there's a large menu board and plenty of seating, though most people seem to grab takeout. There's no salsa bar. When you order, the cashier asks how many salsa cups you need and tosses them into your bag. Taco Tuesday offers six meats: adobada, birria, buche, carnitas, cabeza, and pollo. Again, $2.10 (+tax) Up front, I would skip the adobada and birria. On past visits, both came out a bit dry and needed a lot of salsa to bring them back to life. The flavor was there, but texture matters. Everything else is solid, but the real star here is the buche. This is what keeps me coming back. Ever since I tried their buche tacos, I compare every other buche taco to them. It's super tender with a slight crisp on the outside. The flavor is rich without being greasy. The salsa they give pairs perfectly with it and the freshness of cilantro and onion pulls everything together. At $2.10 plus tax per mini taco, it's hard to complain. I will say tortilla consistency can vary. Sometimes it's sturdy, sometimes it breaks easily, and occasionally they double it up BUT the buche makes up for it every time. Now, it's not perfect. This visit, the carne asada missed the mark. Previously, it was tender and juicy. This time it was dry and chewy. Even with pico and guacamole, it was hard to chew. No amount of salsa helped. The horchata was also extremely sweet. It tasted like straight concentrate from a mix, almost overpowering. My four stars are definitely for the Taco Tuesday deal and the quick, friendly service.
