In San Diego good tacos are everywhere but this is my go to spot. Not expected from a place w fruity in the name but they have Surprisingly amazing tacos. Some of the best pollo I've had ever -- good seasoning, chunks of chicken thighs, not shredded, and not dry at all. Good pico and guac on them too. These employees have a serious attitude problem, multiple times I've been to this location and certain staff members just are blatantly rude. No eye contact, no response when you say thank you. Came here over The Weeknd for lunch. Service: The owner was there taking orders. He was very engaged and knowledgeable about the menu Atmosphere: The inside is pretty big. They have a couple tables to dine in. Lots of giant menus on the wall. I initially looked this place up on Yelp and thought it was a taco shop from the reviews. They no longer serve tacos. Food: we both ordered the chicken breast sandwich. It was good. Good portions and the chicken was seasoned very well. I will be back to try some more things on the menu. read more

I've been to this place a few times and have been impressed by their fruit smoothies and their chamangos. The place is a bit pricey however and they charge a .99 fee to use your card so bring cash. My first gripe with this place is that they rarely have the walnut flavor. I had been here 3 times and they first didn't have ice and then the last two times they didn't have the walnut flavor cause they were "cooking" it. So I opted for the chamango which I will say is incredibly tasty and the reason behind the 3 stars and not a 1. The pineapple flavored raspado tasted like orange and was incredibly sweet. Id say unbearably sweet. The walnut one was also very sweet but didn't taste like walnut at all. It tasted like milk and sugar. Another complaint I have with this place is that their plastic lids pop off easily and leaks when they top off the cups. You'd think that with all those debit surcharges, they would get better cups. I saw a young woman spill her chamango all over her car and I've made a mess on my cup holder in my car. It happens all the time that my boyfriend and I joke that there is a curse on the cups. Anyways, the raspados aren't it but their chamango is amazing. Order with no chaca chaca and light chamoy and it's bliss. This order was 19 dollars (for 2 raspados with lechera). read more

So we went there last night, ordered nachos chips were stupid stale, ordered a bagel with ham and cream cheese on popseed bread.. got a damn bagel with wrong bread and no ham.. ordered a torta de lomo, wow the meat was cold.. I was so upset I wanted to call and talk shit but my husband is nicer than me and told me we just will never go back!!! Spent 65 bucks.. the lady who took our order got everything wrong probably because she wasn't paying attention she kept looking outside, but no one was around.. anyways not going there again, the owner has a couple more places around were we live I wonder if they all suck! read more

I have loved fruity loco for years but today I had a horrible experience. I called ahead of time to place my order, the lady who answered the phone had me on hold for 8 minutes. I stayed on the phone because I was driving there at the same time , I was able to get gas and then finally she comes back on the phone and was surprised I was still there. I placed my order and pulled up 3 minutes after. I go in and she doesn't remember that I just called so I replaced my order and after waiting 35 minutes I see her put a order to the side and walk to the back to help the cook. She comes out 5 minutes later and asks my about my order. I told her my order again and she realized it was the one she put on the side 7 minutes prior. I'm not sure if they don't have a ordering system down or if she was just really careless but I really hope the issues get fixed. The worst part was my lomo torta was cold and she forgot to add Chipotle & jalapeños on the side. I was so disappointed. Basically this place is good but the people they have working lack common sense. Don't go on your lunch break. It took 45 minutes to get 2 lomo tortas and 1 smoothie‍. read more

Great, fresh food! I got a fruit salad with cut up mangoes, apples, bananas, strawberries, honeydew and cantaloupe with cottage cheese, granola and honey on top. It was so fresh, and the fruit was perfectly sweet, juicy, and delicious! I also got the tuna salad which was filled with vegetables! It had cucumbers, onions, olives, tomatoes, onions, fresh crisp romaine lettuce, croutons and two scoops of tuna. I started eating the salad, so you don't see all the vegetables in the picture, it looked that delicious I couldn't wait! I ate the whole thing. It really was good! This place does not only just offer fruit products because they also make some tasty street tacos. At .99 each, plus another .25 for guacamole, they are a very good deal, especially since they do not hold back on the proteins. Both the adobada and the carne asada were tender and well prepared. The carne could of used a bit more seasoning, but the adobada or marinated pork meat was very tasty. I appreciate the fact that they double wrap each taco with corn tortillas and that they do not place the salsa on the tacos, allowing the customer to control the quantity. The service is excellent. The fruity Locos I had ordered were so tasty. I love the Chamoy and Chile they use. And I like that the gentleman that was making my food asked if I would like my chips on the side so they didn't get soggy while I was going home. I do appreciate that a lot. But besides that their menu had several delicious items. I can't wait to try. It was my first time at this shop and it was actually very clean. Very nice.
