CONTODO taco shop off Meadowbrook in Skyline is a location that has the possibility of being overlooked due to its location but, don't get it twisted as this taco shop is dishing out some delicious food! We ordered: Mar Y Tierra burrito - surf and turf style burrito, steak was so flavorful. Asada burrito - some of the best flavored asada there is in Daygo! Only downfall is they are not cheap by no means but, it's the quality you are paying for at this location! Both burritos out the door was a smidge over $30. Inflation is REAL! An all around always-going-to-be-good spot. Will say this is a 4.5 because the Onlyyyyy thing that can be improved is the Quesabirria. Would say this can use a little more liquid or include a consomé like many places do nowadays. This is not stopping the renoccuring visits. Heard great things about this place & decided to give it a try with my family. Ordered a California burrito, an order of three beef rolled tacos, and a half order of the surf fries. There's no seating inside, you just order to go or you can order and sit outside. The employee who took our order was very patient and friendly while we looked over the menu. My favorite thing to get here is their signature, Contodo Burrito. It has carne asada, shrimp, monterey cheese, avocado, sour cream, and chipotle sauce, I can't remember if it comes with pico as well but I remove it anyway and ask for the avo & sour cream on the side.... it has everything I could want in a burrito and has both the surf and turf! this is such a good combination, paired with their orange salsa it is a craving I have often! Based on their Yelp reviews I decided to give this place a try. It's a small, unsuspecting place with a pretty straightforward menu and a variety of food options. It was late, so I called in my order to decrease my wait time. I was disappointed when they said they no longer sell the pork belly taco I saw on their Instagram page, so I decided to go with the pollo asado fries, Adobado taco, and spicy shrimp taco. The chicken on the fries was seasoned well and moist and the fries toppings were plentiful and super fresh. I expected a little more flavor from the Adobado taco, but it was still tasty. The spiciness of the spicy shrimp taco was so overpowering that I wasn't able to enjoy it. It was freshly made, but I just couldn't get past the heat. The quality and flavor of the tortillas, fresh salsas, and Horchata were a huge plus. Customer service was great. Wait time was as expected. I'll definitely be back to try more things! read more

I ordered a California burrito and it exceeded my expectations. Everything tasted amazing ! From the meat to being well seasoned, the fries were delicious, and the flour tortilla is soo good. Some places when you buy a burrito, halfway it starts falling apart but this one held through. The day I went I tried their aguas frescas I had a mix of Jamaica and pineapple and it was . I was advised they have different flavors every week since they are homemade. The red salsa has a nice kick to the spice and the green one is delicious and less spicy. I was craving a burrito but didn't feel like driving all the way to my favorite spot in PB. Since I live in this area, I figured I should try something closer instead of going to the same Mexican places within a 10-mile radius. While searching on Yelp, I found this place--and it's literally only five minutes away! So we decided to give it a try. The place itself is small and pretty unassuming. The young lady at the register who took our order was friendly, and the restaurant was clean. There isn't any seating inside, but there are a couple of tables outside where we sat while waiting for our order. We ordered the California Burrito and the Mar y Tierra Burrito. The meat in both burritos was thinly sliced and very flavorful. The burritos weren't as huge as some other places, which I actually liked--they were still nicely packed and filling. I enjoyed the Mar y Tierra, though I wish there had been a bit more shrimp in it since I could barely find any. The California Burrito was really good and seemed creamier than others I've had, probably from the sour cream. I'm super picky when it comes to cali B's, it's gotta have the right ratio but also the meat has to shine. Every bite of that steak was flavorful and juicy. I didn't catch the name of the woman behind the counter but she was super nice and helpful for my first time coming and definitely went above and beyond to make the experience that much better. This review is solely about the California Burrito and nothing else on the menu. It's my go-to when getting a burrito. The service is great, and the staff is friendly. I actually gave this place 5 stars a while back for their California Burrito -- it used to be one of my favorite spots, especially before the recent $2 price hike on the Cali. But lately, I'm not sure what happened. This is the second time in a row I've gotten a Cali Burrito with soggy fries and cold (not melted) cheese inside. It just doesn't taste as good as it used to. I really hope the owner takes note of this inconsistency and brings it back to being as great as it once was -- I'll gladly update my review if that happens. I'm sure this has to be one of their flagship items on the menu. I'll give it another shot, but if things don't improve, I'll probably stick with good old El Puerto down the road. read more

I decided to give this place a chance after hearing about it on TikTok, my go to order is usually the California burrito in which I only keep the cheese and guac, the service was good which is why I'm giving it two stars instead of one. Let's start off with the price, the cost after taxes and card fee was around $15 which isn't the worst since my local shop charges around $13.50 I did drive a bit to get here so no I was not in the area. When the burrito came out I was instantly disappointed.. the thing was skinny as hell which is usually a big red flag, the tortilla wasn't Crisped at all and honestly I felt like it was pretty mediocre. Was it disgusting? No it wasn't, was it something I'd drive out of my way for again? No I wouldn't, would I recommend this over other places with the same price? No I wouldn't. Hope this helps! It's a small shop located in the sketchy part of Paradise Hills in between Skyline and Meadowbrook. They should work on opening a drive thru that I seen used to be there because they'd make a lot of money. The place is small and once you're inside you will reek of grilled/cooked foods since the only thing separating is a dry wall. They do have a couple seats outside. The cashier was really nice. I went in last night and it was busy at the time I went so it took a bit but reasonable. Ordered carne asada fries, carne asada quesadilla, 2 pork belly tacos, 2 adobada tacos, and 2 fish tacos (which are $2 everyday). Everything was delicious! The carne asada was not salty and had a perfect taste! The fish tacos were good! The pork belly tacos were also really good that the pickled red onions complimented. I usually judge a spot by their carne asada. If they can't get the basics down they can't get anything else down, their carne asada has good flavor, no need for salt packs. I recently has their chicken rolled tacos which were meaty, the fried fish tacos which were also generous and delicious, the carne asada tacos, carnitas, and pollo asada tacos and the they were fantastic on the house made corn tortillas, and finally the bacon and eggs breakfast burrito which was dynomite!
