Ordered takeout for the Quesa Machin and a side order of french fries. The Quesa Machin is one of their three special items on the menu. I was pleasantly surprised on how big it was and was satisfied with eating half of it. I order it with everything and it was bombed with the red sauce. The french fries were also a large portion, but just needed some salt. I waited less than five minutes from ordering my food until leaving, which is pretty good.

Yummy! Decided to check this place out and stray away from our routine taco shops. This place didn't disappoint. Hubby and I got the carne asada mulita and tacos, adobada taco and guacamole with chips. Everything was so fresh and very flavorful. Portions are huge!! I feel they pack the tacos with lots of meat. Place was packed when we were there. So happy to see small businesses thrive. Food came quick. Seating inside was adequate. Employees were really nice!

Dear Taco Machin, Your tacos are the best! But your salsa doesn't honor your tacos properly! Provide a better salsa with real heat, cilantro and chunks of tomato instead of this watery bland mess.

OMG!! One of the best TJ Tacos I ever had! I had the Carne Asada, Pollo Asada & Chicken tacos. I ate them so fast and was not able to take photos. Service was fast and friendly and I was dancing to the music they are playing. Definitely great vibrs.

First time trying Taco Machin. We ordered 3 adobada tacos, 1 carne asada taco, Cali burrito and horchata, which cost us roughly $50, including tip. The adobada tacos tasted the best out of our order but I would say it's comparable to other taco shops with lower price point. The corn tortilla it came with was pretty good, soft but has a bit of crunch around the edges. The carne asada taco was just ok. It was a little bland for our taste. The Cali burrito was just ok. Horchata was good but we both noticed there were more people ordering Jamaica. That must be the popular drink. The inside is spacious, digital menus, and looked clean. Went here on a weeknight and was lucky to find parking right up front but I can see how it can be challenging during the busy times because it's in the same area as a fruitas, salon and paletas place. Customer service was great and food was served fairly quickly.

Zero stars Boy has this place gone down hill or was today just a bad night? Ordered $80 worth of food and it all went in the trash. The fries tasted like old fryer oil. The adobada was swimming in grease and tasted like it had been fried in old grease. The avocado salsa was super wilted by the time I got to my destination (10 min away) Literally everything I ordered tasted HORRIBLE! It was my kids birthday so I didn't have time to go back and ask for a refund because trust me it was inedible and if it wasn't my kids birthday I'd be back in there. I don't understand how someone who works at a restaurant would think it's ok to serve food like this. Is it because it was a takeout order and we wouldn't see it til we got to our destination? We literally had to door dash food from somewhere else because it was sooo bad. Carne asada was nothing but charred fat. Oh and did I mention everything was cold! Like super cold. I placed the order 10 Min before I arrived and it took me 10 min to get to my destination once the order was picked up. There is no way my food would be that cold in that time.

Probably better if you don't do delivery! Ordered Nachos Machin Cachete Burrito Cebollitas Chile Gueros Rojo y Verde salsa The nachos were so soggy that the chips were not crunchy at all. Prepared on paper so with the soggy once you get to the bottom it is truly up to you to guess if its cheese, sour cream or paper that you're about to eat. Was the most excited for cachete since it's hard to find. I added guacamole to the burrito. The Cachete itself had no flavor. Once I added onion, chile, salt, lime and both salas it was pretty good! A bit soggy but good! It's cachete you have to expect the wetness. The red salsa threw me off from just the bright color. Both Salas were just okay. My personal experience is the green had more flavor than the red. Neither were spicy at all.

I love this spot. I came here with my mom for our first visit from a recommendation and we were both so impressed. My mom tends to be a harsh critic for food she did not cook on her own, but she loved it!! The adobada and lengua here are my favorites, and the tortilla here, chefs kiss!!! The staff is always so kind and patient so it's always a great visit! The parking here is a little tight with a few spots for the corner plaza, but I've never had an issue, even on a Sunday afternoon.

Finally stopped by to try these tacos. I've been wanting to try them for awhile. They have a pretty good menu of TJ style tacos as well as tortas, nachos etc I am always looking for the best TJ style tacos in San Diego and these did not disappoint. Some are unique like the Mexiterraneo Adobada taco, it had a really good flavor but the flour tortilla got soggy very quickly with the sauce and juices. My favorite one was the Taco Del Jefe, the meat was so tender, both the lengua and beef cheek meat was flavorful and delicious. They have a salsa station and I liked their green salsa the best. The space is not too big but you can dine inside and they also have a couple tables outside in the front. Parking is limited as it is a very small area. The wait was long, seems like they were having issues mixing up take out orders and some people were upset. I didn't mind the wait much, the staff was friendly and offered me waiter while I waited. I will come back for that Del Jefe taco for sure!!

Stopped by around 7ish on a Thursday and it was somewhat busy with families sitting around. What we ordered and ratings: - carne asada taco: 5/10 it was okay - adobada tacos: 7.5/10 probably my favorite taco we ordered - tripas tacos: 7/10 pretty standard - horchata drink: 5/10 kind of watered down? Overall, we enjoyed the food and service. They were fast to give us our order shortly after ordering. They were quick to clean up tables after people left. Inside was kind of dark inside/dim lighting. I'd come back during the day to see if the food and service is consistent.

The food came out really quick. We live 10 minutes away, and the food was still hot when my husband arrived home. We ordered Carne Asada tacos, Carne, Asada, Molitas, and consume soup. Everything tasted great!

Been wanting to try this place and made a stop by for dinner. Super mellow ambience and liked the decor and style they have going on for the restaurant. Nice taco shop in Bonita area! Customer service is great, the gal at the register was so sweet and nice, she was patient with me as I made a big order for my first time trying this place. Tried a few different tacos from Birria, carne asada, chicken, cheese, and carnitas with a side of horchata!! Loved how much guac they threw on the tacos, I would say the tortillas are different from what I normally get for tacos. Wished they had a variety of hot sauces since I love hot sauce with my tacos!! The meat was tender and the tacos had good flavor to it. Will def come back to try other items on the menu.

Taco Machin tacos are the closest to Tacos el Franc that I have found on the U.S. side of the border. And that's a huge compliment in my opinion. I live close enough and I was loving the taco machin so much for a brief period I wanted to go everyday! But then... like anything good that you have too often you get particular. The food quality is inconsistent and depends on the cook that makes the taco. Once I had a taco machin where they forgot to add the beans and I only realized as I was almost finished. Another time, they added the beans after the guacamole and that was the least appetizing looking taco ever! I will see if I took a photo to share... Service is hit and miss, sometimes they will bring it out and sometimes they call you to pick it up at the counter and there were occasions where my order was mixed up when I've gone to the counter to pick up the food. Their Agua frescos are a little pricey but they are delicious. The correct amount of sweet and flavor. My favorite is the watermelon.

The next morning, we went back to the place and waited for the manager to arrive. When she came, we explained our problem. She refused to help and said it wasn't her problem as she had to clean the bar. We were surprised to hear that... because aren't bars are supposed to be cleaned nightly???? The manager went inside to "look" for the phone and came back outside in less than five minutes, saying she didn't find it. My cousin is a busy woman and needs her phone to answer important calls, but the manager was very disrespectful and rude, even acting foolish with a child in her hands( (who brings a child to a bar) Finally, the manager let us into the bar, we found my cousin's phone next to the door showed it to her. I guess she took it the wrong way because she must've not looked correctly. However, the manager still told us to drop our attitude after the fact that we had found my cousins phone and we're already out the door. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL . It was almost embarrassing because why would you speak to someone who helps serve your country? In conclusion, this place gives off BAD vibes, and I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO HAVE A BAD TIME. If I could give this place negative stars I would. She made it seem like it was a chore to help us she has ZERO customer service.

(Bonita has my favorite Cotijas and least favorite Lolita's). This place has the best Carne Asada around, and if they had nopales, I would put it up against tacos El Gordo. Everyone seems to have a different favorite item here. I have never had a bad dish, though the chicken quality is below average and the one thing I won't order again. I'm split between the Carne Asada and birria as my fave, so I usually get both and a couple fish tacos. When they include the extra sauce, the birria is where it's at. If they don't, it's dry. The street tacos are a great deal - especially the (fried) fish tacos. They're surprisingly big. So is the giant burrito. If you have a group of people, it's fun to get different versions of those. They're huge. I don't even think a hungry teenager could finish one alone. If you can handle spice, the salsa bar has a few choices. The really spicy ones are on the side by the refrigerator. But if you're a gringo like I am, the salsa verde on the other side is a tasty addition to anything on the menu. I recognize that Antoinette is not the most friendly/bubbly person. That's just how she is, and I don't think it should be a deal killer. She's great at what she does. Bonus points if you can get her to laugh or smile. Just know that it's not you, and it's totally worth going if you want legit Mexican food without crossing the border.

The location appears to be a repurposed building that probably served as another type of eatery in the past. I'd guess the building dates back to at least the 80s. It is a small building that has booths and regular tables inside with a counter for ordering. Outdated interior that could use some updating. The faint smell inside reminded me of roach spray. The prices are more reasonable than other Mexican/Taqueria places and I liked that you can order plates that include a bit of guacamole and beans instead of having to order these as side dishes. There is no self serve salsa bar though. I got the carne asada plate that came with a generous portion of meat, along with rice, beans, guacamole, a few tortilla chips, a bit of grated cheese, choice of tortilla, 1/2 a lime, and a bit of red hot sauce and green medium hot sauce. The portion size was perfect and better than most places. Taste was overall good, however, I found the meat to taste a bit too salty and some of the meat was too dry from cooking to eat. I have had better carne asada elsewhere, however, these days it is hard to find so the carne asada here is better than the average these days.
