I am not a huge fan of creama, but these are so so freaking delicious. I also enjoy their birria tacos. The queso with chorizo wasn't the best, but the salsa is solid. The area looks like a place someone would love to retire in. I went for the highest rated Mexican restaurant in the area. I was surprised to see the outside of the building, it looked like an old gas station or house. The parking lot seemed full so it had to be good. I live in an area of Nashville where there is a plethora of good authentic Mexican and Central American cuisine. I still have an affinity for these kind of Tex-Mex places in most of the US. Upon entry I was greeted immediately and seated immediately. The menu did have a good selection of traditional tex Mex options. I opted for the Carne Asada with corn tortillas. The food came out very quickly and I enjoyed the meal. My only criticism was the tortillas were not hand made and also the beans seemed very light in color which is not to my liking. The best thing about this meal was the price! Very reasonable. I would eat here again if in the area.

The veggies were cooked well and not raw like I've had at other restaurants. The corn tortillas tasted like they might be house made and fresh. I also appreciated the salsa bar. The restaurant itself was clean and well decorated. However, the women's bathroom had a bottle of soap that was 95% water and didn't leave my hands feeling very clean. The hand dryer was also unplugged and there were no hand towels. What really brings my review down is the service. The service was definitely subpar. Our waitress was also the bartender and paid more attention to the people at the bar than our table. She didn't check on us throughout our meal, and only refilled my water once when she brought our food out. When we were done, we didn't know if they'd bring a bill to us or if we were suppose to go to the front desk, as she never said anything to us. Every single staff in the restaurant was on their personal phones, leaving the restaurant to take personal calls, and fraternizing more than working. We also witnessed several food safety violations including our waitress sticking her hands in her pants in the back to tuck her shirt, and another waitress playing with her hair excessively, all without washing their hands before interacting with customers again. While good food, I don't know that I'll go back given the experience we had with the staff. I really question cleanliness when behaviors like that are happening in front of customers.
