Chorizo chicken dish!
Tristen G.

La Plaza is a great family-friendly restaurant. The staff are all attentive to detail, kind, and helpful! The food is always fresh and I rarely have problems with my order. If there is a problem, the staff have no problem fixing it for you! My favorite dishes are the tequila chicken, chorizo chicken, and shrimp tacos. Their salsa verde is also a must-try!

As someone who grew up here, I've watched this town slowly change over the years, and seeing Cano's rise into what it is today has honestly been incredible. What makes it even more special to me is knowing the owner is a Fairview High School alumni who truly built this place from the ground up. That kind of hometown success story means something in a small town like ours. There was a time when this area was quiet and honestly didn't have much going on. Now, when people come through Fairview, Cano's has become one of the busiest and most recognizable spots in town. It's become a gathering place for families, students, local workers, sports teams after games, and people just looking for a good meal and a good atmosphere. In a lot of ways, it feels like the heartbeat of modern Fairview. The restaurant itself has an energy to it that's hard to explain unless you've been there. The place is always alive, people laughing, music playing, servers moving around nonstop, and the smell of fresh food hitting you the second you walk through the doors. You can tell they've worked hard to create an environment that feels welcoming and exciting without losing that small-town charm. Whether you're dining inside, grabbing takeout, or meeting friends there on a Friday night, it always feels like somewhere people genuinely enjoy being. And the food absolutely backs up the reputation. Cano's has one of the biggest and most creative menus around Fairview, from fajitas and burritos to street corn, loaded fries, fresh guacamole, tacos, and homemade-style dishes that actually feel made with care. Their portions are generous, the ingredients taste fresh, and they've managed to create food that feels both comforting and exciting at the same time. The street corn and queso are easily some of the best comfort foods in town, and there's a reason people constantly recommend this place to visitors. What I respect most, though, is the amount of work and dedication it must have taken to turn this restaurant into what it is today. Building a successful business in a small town isn't easy, especially in a growing area where chain restaurants continue moving in every year. But Cano's has managed to stand out because it actually feels authentic. It doesn't feel corporate or lifeless, it feels personal. It feels like Fairview. I honestly think a lot of people in town take pride in seeing a local family and local alumni create something this successful. Fairview doesn't always get recognized for much, but places like Cano's remind people that our town has heart, talent, and hardworking people who care about their community. Watching this restaurant grow from almost nothing into one of Fairview's biggest landmarks has been inspiring. At the end of the day, Cano's is more than just Mexican food. It's a symbol of what hard work, hometown pride, and community support can turn into. Every time I go there, I'm reminded how special it is to see a local dream succeed on this level. Fairview is lucky to have a place like this, and I truly hope it continues growing for years to come.

In the very middle of NOWHERE. However, there was nothing else around and this place saved us. (Ran out of snacks in the car.) Know this: If you order a salad bowl with sour cream, Pico de gallo and refried beans, you'll get a really juicy tasty bowl. If you don't, and just get black beans, it's dry and tasteless, and you really have an awareness that you're just eating food to stay alive, without feeling like it's tasty AT ALL.

Of course we love the excellent food but it's the employees and their service that have kept us loyal for over 20 years. Over the last year, we specifically ask to be seated in Violeta's section. We will even wait and have waited to be seated in her section. She's personable, goes out of her way to provide excellent service and just genuinely is pleasant to be around. We are weekly patrons of Pueblo Real and Viotleta is a reason we continue to come back each week.

I tried a flight of margaritas (4) which included traditional (lime), peach, blackberry, and mango. I am a traditional guy, but the peach won! My wife tried a traditional on the rocks and really liked it. The chili lime seasoning on the rim was a great addition. I ordered the fajitas Texanas which had shrimp, chicken, and steak. It was awesome, but way too much food. My wife had the cheese dip appetizer, fried avocado appetizer, and grazed off of my plate. Everything was fabulous. Our bartender and server were great. The restaurant was busy and it had a wait, but hanging out in the bar was a great choice. The wall leading to the restroom had autographed photos of celebrities that had been there. If you are in Franklin, Tennessee, Pueblo Real is well worth giving a try. We will stop in again when we are back.
