This is a very nice Mexican restaurant. Very clean and well appointed. The service was quite good. What I was not impressed with was the food. I had their Especial fajitas. I'm pretty sure that they pre cook all the meat for those fajitas with the possible exception of the chorizo which seemed to be cooked with the veggies. The chicken and the very thin slice of steak was both dry and cold. The shrimp is served on a skewer. Half was warm and the rest cold. We shared a chili relleno and i liked the preparation of that. Very thin sheet of egg batter draped over the cheese filled pepper. The pepper was a bit under done but was pretty good. I'm giving 3 stars and not less because my wife had the new chicken dish in mushroom cream sauce. it was very tasty and because the chicken was heated in the sauce it wasn't dry and was hot. She really liked it. I was also not impressed with their salsa. Bland with little flavor and no spice. I asked if they had any hotter and they brought both a jalapeño and a habanero sauce. Both were very good alone and mixed with the normal red. This is a pretty popular place and we were a little early. only a couple of other people there when we arrived but was pretty full by the time we left. I think the food would have been quite good had it been hot. I'm going to assume that my dishes were an anomaly and we might try them again sometime. Won't be my first choice though. read more

We have come to like this Mexican Grill as our favorite in the area. Service is almost always good. We love the Margarita choices here. My last choice was a grilled chicken salad. It was fresh, and the fried shell was not greasy. We often drive across town to eat here even though other Mexican places are closer. My only suggestions are to work on the patio vibe. It is nice to eat outside, but there was a horrible smell and a lot of flies the last time we sat outside. Inside has always been comfortable. read more

Went to Acapulcos Friday night with my Springhill family. My daughter sent us boys ahead with specific instructions to secure a table in the patio. She had to pick up one of the girls at drama, so we took off to grab a table, a table IN the patio. The restaurant was busy, but we managed to wrangle the patio table as instructed. I was completely oblivious as to why it was so important to for us to sit outside. I'm thinking, why battle the flies, but remembered that on my last visit, there were a fair amount of flies inside too. Oh well, comme ci, comme ca. Our waiter set us up at a nice wobbly table, and brought us chips and salsa. Warm chips and cold salsa. Just as it should be. My son-in-law ordered a beer, and I said Dos XX and motioned a tall one. It was tall alright. Huge! It was hard to lift. But hey, it's beer, I was going to manage. My daughter and granddaughter soon showed up, and we ordered. In the meantime, Luke was able to shove a folded up napkin under one of the table legs, and that fixed the wobble. Now we're set. The food arrived, and just like at every other Mexican restaurant I've ever visited, we were told, "the plate is hot ". The food was good, and it was hot. We all managed to eat more than the flies. I was still wondering why my daughter insisted that we eat outside. I soon found out. As it happens, Acapulcos has live entertainment on Friday nights, and there was someone in the band that my daughter said that I just have to see. I had my back to the band, and was enjoying my tamale, when I saw a smirk on my daughters face. She said, "dad turn around and look at the lady singer". I turned and peered through patrons heads bobbing back and forth, but couldn't see much. She said, "stand up and act like you're adjusting your chair and get a better look". I did as she requested, she laughing, me peering. It turns out, that the singer in the band, looked incredibly like my girlfriend. She could have been her sister, if not her twin. I snapped a few pictures, and later that night, I sent one to my girlfriend. Of course I prefaced it with "of course you're much more beautiful " but you have to admit, there is a resemblance. Her response "Uhhhhh, I think not"! LOL, I still don't know with that remark, whether she thought that the girl didn't look like her, or that the girl was better looking! I didn't hear from her again for like two days. So I guess I'm in trouble when I get back home. Quick Tip: Don't mix girlfriends with your daughter's sense of humor. It makes for a sour stomach, and I don't mean Montezumas Revenge. read more

This was a great little Mexican Restaurant In Spring Hill that I used for the first time to cater an event for some of my doctors. The place was very clean, staff was friendly, service was great, and the food was very good. Everybody loved what they ordered. I had the carnitas dinner which was very good, I just wish that the outside of the pork was a little more crispy...that's how I like my carnitas, but that's just me. read more

This place has gone downhill. The service sucks and tonight was the final straw that we will not be back. As we were finishing up a cockroach crawled on our table. 3.5 * Average Mexican food. Fajitas were pretty cooked and decent size for 2. Would recommend steak and chicken as the shrimp was not very fresh. Salsa was alright, more on the salty tomato side. Extra large beers are a great value. There were no Taco Tuesday deals displayed anywhere or offered to us. Prices were average and menu was very large. Server was very friendly. Best Mexican grill in Spring Hill! I highly recommend.. it's great for families. I go often!

This is our go to Mexican restaurant when eating Mexican food in Spring Hill. The food is good but the service is unbeatable!

Why go to Mexico when Acapulco is near as Campbell Station in Spring Hill, right? Acapulco isn't on the main drag of Hwy 31. Billed as a neighborhood restaurant, it's located in the (presumably) less expensive strip space on the back lot of the main shopping center. You'll need to look for it...and hope the signage lighting is turned on if after dark. You're literally entering a neighborhood if you miss the turn-in. Of course, Tom Bodett wasn't there when I arrived, but the light was left on for others by the time I headed home. Hmm. And who can beat $2.50 margaritas for some light refreshment? It's the first restaurant I've encountered offering a smaller option. The only hiccup is that you may need to be very clear which size drink your server hears. The website menu doesn't match the printed  version. They're really not even close. Trust the print. You may simply need to ignore the website for anything beyond location or phone number. The kitchen delivers some really tasty dishes. I had the Tamale Deluxe plate of one tamale with two chicken flautas (choice of chicken or beef.) Your mileage may vary, but there wasn't a bite missed and none to be complained about. I'll happily return when I'm down that way, again. The manager straightened out the billing for the drink, too. read more

My wife and I went to Acapulco tonight and had the greatest experience. The bar tenders were very friendly and attentive. The drinks were right on the money! Service was overall great. The best part was when they started to close and a big ole dance party happened out of nowhere. The staff was dancing with the guests to great Latino music and having a blast. I've never seen such a situation materialize out of thin air in any restaurant I've eaten at and I'm 56. Cheers to the staff and owners who can foster such a great crew. We have made a point to try new restaurants around town so last night we ended up here! We just moved from the Southwest and are a bit picky about Mexican Food. We randomly picked this restaurant because it was close to where we were (literally no other reason). We were not disappointed in the least! The decor is very similar to other restaurants we frequented in AZ, so we immediately felt at home. Fun colors, wood tables and booths, etc. My son ordered a hot dog (because that's normal at a Mexican food restaurant...ha) and asked for "lots of jalapeño" and they did not disappoint! There is a large kids menu to satisfy any picky eater. He was on cloud 9 eating all of them. My husband ordered a smothered burrito and loved it. The carne asada had a wonderful flavor. I ordered a taco salad with chicken and there was a ton of chicken! Oh, did I mention everyone gets a bowl for their salsa so your kids can double dip! (Well...so the adults can double dip as well and have it be socially acceptable) The employees were smiling, kind and attentive. Our drinks were always full and while the food took some time to come out, it was worth it! (And Mexican food lover knows it can take some time) Overall-there are no negatives about our experience. Environment = Tables are close together & at 5:45 on a Friday this place is slammed! Time = We didn't have to wait long for a table, but we waited foreverrr for our food! We tripped in on a Sunday afternoon when our usual place was closed. So glad it was, or we'd have missed THIS place! It's my favorite Mexican food from the Lawrenceburg-Nashville Corridor. Love this place! Every time we go my family remarks that is does not feel like we are in Spring Hill, rather on a vacation. The atmosphere is great. I encourage grabbing a seat on the patio, especially when there is some local live music. We lived in Texas for four years and experienced some real good Tex-Mex. Acapulco rivals some of those restaurants and satisfy the void we've been missing since moving. The food is super fresh and the portions are great! It was a subpar meal in comparison to the options in the area. We ordered the cheese dip which was as runny as a kids nose in December and the chorizo tasted like the tube meat from Kroger thrown in a skillet.
