The food is mid. I usually go to El Molcajete, and didnt want to make the drive from Columbia. I definitely regret it. The horchata was watered down & they definitely skimp you on the meat for the entrees. $20 for this is wild. I'll never cheat on E.M again read more

Woah! This place is a jewel! Fantastic service EVERY time we've been. The order is always correct. And the tacos, oh man, the tacos are delicious. They have simple options for your picky eaters and some pretty outrageous options for those wanting to try something new. It does take a little time for the food as they cook to order, but it's worth it! We've started calling in a pickup order, so it's ready when we come. Getting out onto hwy 31 can be tricky, so watch out for that. read more

Oh my gosh! We were looking to try a New Mexican restaurant and saw the reviews on this one. I'm so glad we did! The service was excellent- kind and funny and immediate attention to drinks- and the food was incredible. I had the fried fish tacos and they were absolutely divine. Sometimes restaurants just don't know how to make the right but I am so glad to find one that does! My fiancé got the street tacos- and you HAVE to believe the reviews on this one. Great service, but I did not care for the lunch special which consisted of three small tacos which was fine. I asked for chicken one had beef in it and I don't care for the corn tortillas because they fall apart. I also had The rice and beans the refried beans had zero taste. I came in here based on a recommendation, and let me tell you. This place did NOT disappoint! These are by far the best/ most authentico tacos in all of Spring Hill! The flavors, the texture, and the ambiance is just like the taquerias from where I come from. I tried the Lengua, quesabirria, al pastor tacos, the ceviche con Pulpo, and a burrito at this spot. I was impressed! The flavor is like the places where I'm from and I can't wait to go back and to try more! My family left full, happy, and excited to find a great authentic Mexican spot in our new home town. I highly recommend! First time in and was greeted and seated immediately. This is the original Jack of Hearts space and the series of other eateries that followed. Food was average. Burrito was claimed to be dry, tacos were good. Not sure about the pastor claim. Pricing seems reasonable. Service was ok. Huge miss which I'll never understand. Bringing only some of the meals. Is this so some food gets cold while wishing the host will say start without us??? Overall a decent alternative, but with at least 5 other places to grab a taco nearby, not sure this one stands out. read more

My wife and I went here last night as we are both avid Mexican food fans! We couldn't have enjoyed it more, so much so that we're about to order takeout again tonight. The prices were on point, the flavors were amazing -- you can tell they put a lot of time, effort, and love into their recipes. I had the carne asada tacos and my wife had the chicken tacos and they were both outstanding! The three different salsas that they have are AMAZING. Meh. Nothing to rave home about. I'm a Hispanic LA girl, so I was looking forward to this place based on the reviews. The service and ambiance was great. I was happy to hear good Mexican music, and the servers were so sweet. The food was at a good price point, but the flavor was lacking. I still can't find a place around here that uses actual grilled carne asada for their dishes. This is just another spot that uses some type of steamed/stewed meat as their asada. I think carne asada should have that charbroiled grill crisp to it. So that was a miss for me. Also, as someone mentioned before, their red salsa is slightly sweet, which makes me think they used canned tomato sauce. The flour tortillas were also those super soft mission tortillas. Not the flakey papery flour tortillas Idk seems like another Mexican restaurant catering to a toned down version of Mexican food for the clientele. read more

The team greeted me immediately and were super friendly and accommodating throughout. I was so excited to see chilaquiles on the menu. I ordered mine with beef. Not too salty, perfectly tangy and complex tomatillo sauce, and deliciously seasoned steak made this dish a new fave. I'm craving it as I type this review! Stopping by to check on all tables, the manager took time to help me decide on my next beverage. I wanted something less common, so he suggested the apple soda. Food is mid, el Pastor is more like trosos de puerco en adobo, aguas frescas are actually not fresh, they are powdered flavored drink which is disappointing considering they are not cheap. I was super excited for another Mexican food restaurant in Spring Hill and really wanted to like this place, but it unfortunately fell short of my expectations. The tacos were good, not great. I had the Carnitas & Chorizo tacos. The chorizo was the best one, but you can't really go wrong with chorizo, as it comes with its own flavor. The carnitas didn't have much flavor in the meat itself. Once I added hot sauce, it was much better. The chips, served upon arrival are store-bought. Would be nice if they had their own chips and salsa. A homemade Mexican salsa recipe can make a restaurant famous Fortunately, I speak enough Spanish to communicate with our server. She didn't speak a lick of English, but the service was greatThat might be an issue for a born and bred Tennessean. The decor was a bit confusing for a Mexican restaurant. It fits right in with Middle Tennessee if we were in an American Cafe or breakfast spot. It's s just odd for a Mexican restaurant and takes away from their identity. My mom said her slice of cucumber tasted rotten and almost ruined her entire meal. Fortunately, I didn't try mine. The tables are a bit high for the chairs and I felt like I was sitting in a kiddie chair. By some distance, the best Mexican food in Middle Tennessee that I've tried. It's an authentic taco shop. I'm not sure what the rest of the menu is like but the tacos are excellent. Home made tortillas and fresh, flavorful toppings. The Guacamole bowl is really an excellent accompaniment. Service a little slow but hey, it's Tennessee baby, life is slower here. This restaurant is located in a nice area with enough parking for all the businesses surrounding. Great music and friendly staff.
