As always the food was delicious and service amazing considering how busy they were the day after Christmas. We were a party of 8 and didn't have to wait, a miracle. We enjoyed a pitcher of house margaritas that weren't watered down. They served us four full glasses, plus a full pitcher. We also enjoyed fajitas, quesadillas, nachos and street tacos. We enjoyed a great birthday celebration there last night. Our waiter was kind and polite. The food was delicious! They put a sombrero on my husband and four staff members gathered around to sing both the Spanish and English versions of Happy Birthday. Then they gave him a scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream and a HUGE fireball candle. We laughed so much at his expressions. Thank you Amigos!! read more

Generally it was a good meal but it had some exceptions. The person at the front desk was very friendly and nice. The server was ok but not super friendly. The food tasted good but the lunch menu was not very big for the price, but more like a kids meal to us. The Mexican pizza was supposed the have guacamole but I couldn't find it and my wife could not either. So I asked the server and he said it had some mixed in. I pulled over a tortilla and there was a small patch of guacamole on one area of the tortilla. The rest of the pizza did not appear to have much if any guacamole. I gave them a 3 star rating because it was generally good but we do not plan to go back there when there are so many excellent Mexican restaurants to go to in Spring Hill, with more value for the meal (in our view). read more

The portions for kids meals are super small compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area and more expensive than them as well. If you charge $8 for a kids meal there needs to be more food to be competitive. Cheese on quesadilla was almost non existent and they basically gave me a tortilla with 2 strands of shredded cheese on it. It is not as good as other restaurants in the area, consider going to those instead. read more

Their chips and salsa is great! Ask for the hot salsa, it'll knock your socks off with smoky fire-y flavor! However, the rest of the menu, I would completely skip. I ordered the Cancun salad which comes with lettuce, grilled shrimp, tomato, onion, peppers and shredded cheese. I asked for honey mustard on the side. I don't know where to start here... it's a salad, but it came out on a very hot plate with wilted lettuce, roasted watery tomatoes that ruined everything, a combination of overcooked and undercooked shrimp, and melted cheese over everything. It was awful looking and awful tasting. In my attempt to salvage it, as I hadn't eaten all day and was starving, I asked again for a side of honey mustard. He legitimately brought out from the kitchen a dirty bottle of honey mustard. Not a side in a cup to mask the dirtiness. I had no words as so stunned. I said thank you and preceded to not touch it because it looked so nasty. My dad ordered carne asada tacos that he said did the trick but did not taste good. My mom ordered shrimp quesadillas, and was not impressed at all. Service was kind, but the place was not the most clean, it needs some work. Very underwhelming. The salsa was legit so good!! But I'll never be back. So many amazing other restaurants in this genre out there that i can't justify it. read more

I love this restaurant, i always get the Grande Chimichanga with Chicken. The queso dip is incredible and a must have every time we go. Food is good, servers are quick and friendly, food is served in a timely manner, and it always smells like the floors were freshly mopped with fabuloso. My neighbor from mexico said that this restaurant is good but its not the most authentic in town. She said Tacos El Patron is most authentic but she still likes Amigos food. read more

We ordered 15 pork tamales at $4 each, which is pretty pricy. Sadly, these were the worse tamales that we've ever had. The meat was ground and resembled the taco bell taco meat. I would not recommend these tamales, especially for this price. Will not be going back. read more

Delicious!! My kids & I ate lunch here recently and everything was absolutely yummy and fresh.

Given we are under the Covid 19 guidelines I was happy to see this place doing carry out. I was getting tired of fast food since all the other places were closed. Got a couple tacos to go and the service was fast and extremely appreciative of visiting them amongst the whole virus thing. So why are you sending me emails saying it's a new coupon 10 months later?? Every time I try to redeem the "new" coupon, it says it was redeemed in February. When I come to pickup orders I always have to wait an extra 10-15 minutes because it's never ready within the time they say it will be, doesn't matter how busy they are. My husband and I needed a quick dinner before catching a movie at the AMC down the street. I was craving some cheese dip and a margarita so we found Amigos close by! We got there at the beginning of the dinner rush, so we got our table right away. Our server then proceeded to get triple sat and we felt so bad! Despite having so many tables at once, he was constantly checking on us and the service was super fast! I got a lime margarita on the rocks. It was a little too sour for my taste. My husband got a strawberry margarita and he said it was delicious! Their salsa was fantastic! It was a little spicer than a normal restaurant style, which I loved. We also ordered the cheese dip. This is probably my new favorite cheese dip! It had a little kick to it and lots of flavor! I'm pretty simple when it come to Mexican food, so I just got a cheese quesadilla and a chicken taco. I hate to say it but we all got sick! I was there on Sunday afternoon with my entire family. The wait staff was great, as always but the food was mediocre by comparison to what I have experience there before. We ate and paid but before we even made it home, I was sick to my stomach. I assumed that it must have been a "bug" that I was dealing with personally but within 12 hours every single member of my family was suffering from stomach cramps and severe diarrhea. The only ones not effected were my 7year old, who just refused to eat, and my mom who only at a quesadilla. It's 2 flattened grilled chicken breasts with chorizo sausage and onions. Comes with a side of rice and beans. The star of the dish was clearly the chicken; which was moist and covered in crumbled chorizo and onions with a white cheese sauce. Couldn't finish it all so I took the rest home for a late night snack. I also ordered a piña colada daiquiri to go. Not overly sweet and barely can taste the alcohol but gave me a little buzz. My friend preferred the steak fajitas that come in a hot skillet. Whatever seasoning they put on it, it's amazing. I had a bite and I want to say I tasted a slight cumin flavor, which I love. Ordered curbside pickup and it ended up being on a really busy night. My call couldn't get through so I walked inside and was appalled to see no serious actions taken for COVID. They didn't seem to limit their seating capacity at all, several workers weren't wearing masks and one of the ones who did have a mask kept taking it down to talk to customers while serving their food. I also watched workers give full on hugs to several customers, all of whom were easily over the age of 50. But on top of all that, my food wasn't even ready after 45 minutes. It hadn't even been started! I had to ask for them to cancel the meal and got my money back. There's no way I would even consider doing pickup or delivery from here until COVID is gone. It's good food, sure, but it's not worth getting sick over. read more

Went yesterday evening. Wanted to try Costa Vida but it's closed on Sunday. Seated promptly but had to wait to order a couple of beers. Then finally ordered meal. Salad and classic fajitas. VERY SLOW TO ARRIVE- 10-15 minutes at least. Waiter never stopped by until much later to check on drinks, water, etc. even though my beer was empty. Wife said the salad was ok although nothing like dressing out of an envelope. My fajita (chicken, beef, shrimp and chorizo) was plentiful not very tasteful. The chorizo was a nice addition. Needed more veggies- peppers, onion. Kind of small on the sour cream/ beans sides. After food was at least half gone, finally came by for another drink order. Tito's is far better. And we will try Costa Vida But I don't expect to go back to Amigos. read more

Visited for lunch between Christmas and New Years. It wasn't very crowded but the staff seemed disinterested anyway. The salsa is excellent, but my chile relleno/taco combo was a disaster. It came out cold - almost frozen in the center, so I asked to send it back. A few minutes later it came back microwaved into oblivion. Basically a plate of nuked food sitting in a pile grease. There are too many other good choices to waste time and money on a restaurant with no interest in providing a decent experience. I'm usually willing to give a new place a second chance but in this case I'll make an exception. read more

Amigos is Mexican/American perfection. The salsa has a spicy kick. The margaritas are 2 for 1 sun/mon and have quite the kick. The chips are a bit thin.... but the rest of the food and contents make the experience wonderful. Bad service...staff can be rude and seem easily annoyed. Food came out cold, cheese not even melted. They remade it and it came out cold in the center of the enchiladas. Tables was dirty when we sat down and staff never around for refills. Their poor attitudes will make me never go back. read more

I have been here several times, mostly because I have friends who like their margaritas. They all agree that the food is not great. I would have to say that the food is very mediocre. During my last time there, I ordered take out. I came back to my car, looked at my food and realized that they forgot to add the meat (beef). I went back in and asked them to remake the food. They came back out in about 3 minutes (fast) and I took the order home. When I opened it up, they had added chicken, not beef. I called and asked for a refund as I was already home and they messed up the order 2X. They said they would process the refund that day. Here we are, about two months later and they have never done the refund. I have called twice and both times, they said they would process it right away. They didn't. Total fail. I went there on Cinco de Mayo and will not be returning. It was one of the staff or owners or someone's birthday. Every single server and staff person was drinking excessively. Peoples credit cards were getting lost. No matter the cause for celebration, this is a severely poor way to run a business. Whoever's birthday it was was throwing up AT the bar. I almost puked myself watching. It was totally accepted by everyone. Tons of employees though it was hysterical. No one saw anything wrong with it. I just saw food poisoning, contamination and lawsuit written all over everything. It made me sick and I couldn't finish my meal. Anyone who lets employees at a restaurant behave in this manner obviously does not care about being sanitary. There are health codes in place for restaurants for a reason. I had been here before. Adult food: good - the fajitas were amazing! Margaritas = very satisfying. Chimichanga... Well, you can't really go wrong with that. Sopapillas... Mmmmm! Kids' food: left much to be desired. The grilled cheese was a slice of American cheese on barely toasted bread. The fries were very dry.
