I'm used to buying the larger Stella's-brand pan de sal, but Christine's is good too. Pandan Cake Roll ($12): From the first bite, I could tell it was fresh. The cake was soft, moist, and had a good amount of cream filling. I'm not fond of cake, but this was alright since it was not overly sweet. I'm not sure what it was, but the small green dots on top of the icing stuck to my teeth, so that was probably the main thing I did not like about this roll. Pastillas ($2.80): These are probably the best items I bought. They were super soft, rich, flavorful, and tasty. Get the ube flavored ones! It has the perfect balance of sweetness, and is not as rich or sweet as the original Pastillas de Leche. There is also a pandan flavor if that appeals to you, as well.
