The gianduja crunch hazelnut was what brought me back. I visited on a Sunday afternoon in summer with the family, and it was packed. There was real no space to enjoy the ice cream either. In line, I noticed no one offered samples or took my order proactively until I reached the cash register, by then it was too late to sample. There were two guys manning the ice cream station, a lady manning the register, and a few in the back kitchen. I ordered a pint of the gianduja crunch, a single vanilla, and a single flan. The vanilla was average, it didn't wow me (I was hoping for something less sweet, more like haagen dazs vanilla bean). I think they used too much vanilla flavoring. The gianduja was very good and appropriate with a crunch, and the flan was solid too, glad we went with those. They seemed a bit disorganized when paying/receiving the order (chalk it up to being busy young adults). I had to ask multiple times if they had given my pint since they called my name out to give me the single serving but they were still working on mine but were also bringing out different order pints to other customers so it was a bit lack of communication and clarity that needed polishing. They also didn't have any cooler bags to sell or give out, which would be helpful for a 30-minute drive home in summer. Pricing was fair, not too expensive. I saw the awards the owner has displayed and was happy for them. Overall, the ice cream itself is a bit above average with some really interesting flavors. Glad to see small businesses like this open up. I do hope they can refine the customer service experience a bit more. Their ice cream has real potential to impress the right investors and grow if they can hire the right management team.

"Tous…read moreles jours" is a French phrase that translates to "every day" or "all the time" in English... meaning all of their products are freshly baked daily! I visited the Bergenfield location on Mother's Day to pick up a cake. There's a parking lot in the back of the store. The interior is small with a few tables/seating available. Very clean, bright, and warm look. It was a busy Sunday morning, but the employees worked quickly and efficiently. Their cake menu has a huge variety of options - fruity flavors, chocolate, Asian-inspired flavors, etc. I ordered the Raspberry Lemon cake (~$45). Yes, their cake prices are on the steeper end... but they are beautifully decorated, elegant, made with high quality ingredients, and freshly baked on-site every day. The cake was packaged in a specially designed box. I loved the functionality of it; it was sturdy with handles for you to hold at the top. It even came with a complimentary cake cutter, matches, and Mother's Day cake topper! My mom and family enjoyed the cake. It was light, fruity, and zesty! Not overly sweet at all. The buttercream frosting was made out of raspberry cream cheese. The cake was moist and fluffy, with a taste similar to lemon pound cake. It had layers of raspberry and lemon filling. It was topped with yellow and pink piping for a vibrant pop of color. I would definitely come back here to get cakes for a special occasion. I would also love to try their decadent pastries and drinks - they have so many options!

Lets start with the good, the cheese empanada was very cheese and with a lightly crispy/flaky crust. My daughter loved this! The caprese sandwich was warmed and so delicious! The chocolate mousse cup was light and airy with a crisp dark chocolate cup. One of the best mousse i have had! The cannolis my daughter loved . Now the bad... We ordered the mint lemonade for my daughter and found a bug in it ( like a fruit fly) as soon as it was brought to our table. When i took it back to the counter the lady just smiled at me and offered to replace saying she didnt "think" it was from the machine and just flying around. I told her it was unacceptable and would have been more upsetting had my daughter drank it. Then was given a light apology but thats all , which is so strange to me . Then i received the chai ( which at the counter i was informed could be made less sweet). It was overpoweringly sweet, when i took this back they said it was a premixed powder and already has the sweet mixed in ( very strange why i was told it could be adjusted then :/). Anyways, overall a nice clean place but check your drinks before drinking for sure . Loved all the food items we got though !

Street parking; only a few seats to eat inside. Basically a To Go place. These empanadas were awesome!! Big & stuffed with a very nice crispy, fried shell. ( they offer mini sized empanadas too) There are many options of Savory fillings, but I wish they had more "sweet\dessert" types. Which brings me to my favorite: the Guava & Mozzarella Cheese empanada... Best one I've ever had. For upcoming St. Patricks Day (for a limited time) they have -- The Reuben- filled with Smoked Corned Beef, Swiss Cheese & Sauerkraut. EMPAN-TASTIC! Wish I had a beer. -the Cuban Pork empanada made with an 8-hours smoked pork, with ham and mozzarella was very good, but I wasn't a big fan of the Sweet Thai Chicken empanada with, sweet Thai chili sauce, scallion and cilantro.. Maybe I was full... The fries are old school. Reminded me of boardwalk fries. Some a little greasy. Some a little overcooked & crunchy.. So if you like empanadas, you need to give this place a shot.

Angus Beef: This original version of this folded hot pastry is packed with plenty of angus beef along with sautéed peppers & onions. Bacon Cheeseburger: This may have a similar appearance to the previous empanada, but do not be deceived. Imagine having a juicy succulent bacon cheeseburger in a crunchy shell in lieu of a hamburger roll. Cuban: Here's a perfect variation of the classic Cuban sandwich. The pork was smoked for several hours and it also includes ham and mozzarella cheese. Sweet Thai Chicken: It's time to try some Thai. The sweet thai chili sauce mixed in this Asian style empanada has the perfect blend of heat and spice. Spinach & Feta: If happen to be a vegetarian or If you just need a break from meat and poultry, the spinach & feta is a must try! Not only is the food awesome - I ordered a ramen, plain hot dog, and halo-halo shaved ice (addictively good) - but bonus stars to the staff who were sooo sweet! The Hawaiian style shaved ice and home-made ice cream are top notch. The ice cream is rich and delicious, with some unique flavors, and the shaved ice is very fine - fluffy and evenly slushy in texture and sweetness, unlike the inferior versions where you run into bland chips of ice. The toppings are yum too. The ramen noodles are springy, settled in a savory light broth. For a non-prestige grade ramen, I have no complaints. I also want to acknowledge the lovely hospitality. My child was in a tantrum-y mood and went to sulk by himself in a corner. Seeing the pouty little grump in a small fit, the girls at the counter coaxed him over with ice cream and stickers, which he of course eagerly accepted, pleased by the attention and confection, and was soon back to his endearing self. So I really appreciated their extra kindness! This is a fab joint for a quick-casual or just a perfect sweet treat!

HAPPY NATIONAL BOBA DAY (4/30)! It only feels right to update my review of my go-to spot in the…read morearea. NJ doesn't have many great boba places, which is why I'm EXTREMELY grateful to have Tsaocaa nearby. I'm a regular, and the drinks are consistently amazing. I'm pretty picky--I only like drinks with a strong tea flavor that really pulls through. My biggest pet peeve is when they're too milky, overly sweet, or taste artificial. Tsaocaa absolutely nails it! The tea to milk ratio is ON POINT! One sip in, and I could tell they use high quality, premium tea leaves and fresh fruit ingredients. This is one of the few places that truly gets both milk AND fruit teas right! Over the past two years, I've worked my way through a good portion of the menu. You really can't go wrong with choosing any drink! There are so many options--milk teas, fruit teas, slushes, fruit mojitos (non-alcoholic), yogurt slushes, you name it. It's the perfect mix of classic staples and more creative flavors. My top two favorites are: *Passion Fruit & Lime Tea - Get this if you want something refreshing, tangy, and tropical. I get it with no sugar since the fruit already brings a natural sweetness. And they actually use real passion fruit seeds! *Brown Sugar Black Milk Tea - The black tea is strong and slightly bitter, but the creamy milk balances it out. They don't go overboard with the brown sugar--just enough to give you little sips of sweetness. *King of Milk Oolong Tea - I don't usually go for oolong tea, but this one's starting to win me over. I absolutely LOVE the deep, roasted flavor. I order mine with less ice and either the lowest sugar level or no sugar at all. The baristas hit the mark on the sweetness levels and make it exactly how I want. When you order 30% sugar, you really get 30%. For the true tea lovers, I recommend 30% or none at all if you really want that bold tea taste. The tapioca pearls are addicting--soft, chewy, and not crazy sweet. Their pearls have a natural amber brown color since they're made from sweet potato, without any added syrups or dyes. Most boba elsewhere is made from cassava root and then dyed artificially. Yes, it's on the pricier side--but I am SO willing to pay for the higher quality! They have a rewards program, so if you collect enough points, you can score free drinks! There's a lovely barista who's almost always there--she makes my drinks just right and quickly every time. I do wish there were more seating though. It's a small store with just a table and a few stools at a counter. They do have wifi if you're thinking of getting some work done. This location also has a full menu of popular Vietnamese dishes like pho, lemongrass grilled pork, vermicelli bowls, and banh mi. I've tried the banh mi, and honestly, I'd skip it. Stick to the bubble tea here! Tsaocaa is a must try for all boba lovers! Get your sip on! They even have a 1000mL bucket size! *eyes emoji* I have to limit myself to one drink a month... or I'll end up with a 9-month old boba belly.

Oh man, I so wanted these drinks to be a hit…read more Here is what we ordered in 500ml: - King of Oolong Milk Tea with boba - Sakura Oolong Milk Tea As soon as we saw the drinks we were like oooh no, why is it white? My son insist I taste both of them first. I put on a poker face because I wanted to see his honest reaction too. After he took a couple of sips he said, I don't want to finish it. In the trash it goes. I consider myself a hardcore tea lover. There was nothing Oolong about it. Not sure how the lady made it, if it's from powder or actual tea leaves but we absolutely could not detect any tea flavor, mostly water and sugar and the lingering aftertaste was NOT PLEASANT AT ALL. It was a long drive for us to get here. Do I regret it? No, because I am always willing to venture far for a boba tea experience. Can't win them all. I don't know if the high rating is for the drinks or the Vietnamese food they serve here. Tsaocaa is a chain and I will not be giving this one another chance. The first thing my son and I did when we got home was brush our teeth. Positives... - Friendly service. - The drinks are not as pricey as other boba shops. - I got to see how beautiful Englewood, New Jersey is. One star rating for the soft and chewy boba.
