Rutherford location - cupcakes looked pretty but just had an average taste. Really small selection. Unfortunately, was disappointed and was kind of embarrassed that people did not enjoy the cupcakes. We truly loved our wedding cake -- thank you so much Carrie! I'm not sure if the artistry or the taste was better - they were both so good, and we continued to enjoy the leftovers after the event too (cake for breakfast!). My friends that went to the French Pastry School in Chicago also gave rave reviews of our unique cake. Instead of the fondant or 'naked' wedding cake standby's, we asked Carrie for painted buttercream florals (think an impressionist painting, on a cake!). I found this place online and I must say this was the best place I could have found. I booked her for my daughters 1st birthday. I got a 2 tier make with buttercream frosting and slices strawberries on the inside with custom minions, a minion eye smash cake (which was chocolate) and an order of cake pops (which were also chocolate). Although I think it was kinda pricey for everything it was well worth it. The cake was was super moist, the strawberries were fresh, and the frosting was amazing. It was perfect. I 100% recommend this place for any special occasions. My only con: I paid for a glittery one but I didn't get it. :( read more

Carrie makes the BEST cakes! For my daughter's first birthday, we decided to go with a "wild one" animal theme and the cake she designed was so adorable and perfect (see picture attached). AND...it tasted even better! We got soo many complements on the cake! Since it was 2 tiers, we decided to do one tier with vanilla cake and chocolate buttercream, and the other tier chocolate cake with cookies n'cream filling. Both were outrageously good but the chocolate cake was on another level..soooo good with bits of oreo cookies in the buttercream and moist all around. I bought a 6-in chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. Not only did the cake looked amazing but it also was delicious. Don't be fooled by the size of the cake because it is about 6 inches high and very rich so we had about a third of the cake left after serving it to 9 people.
