Such a disappointment. Potential is solid, but they continue to underdeliver. The family is well known, but this guy seems to defy success. Much better options.

Sorry I wasn't mad enough to post the review until we had eaten most of it.

This used to be one of my favorite pizzerias in the mountain village / telluride area. Really authentic Naples style thin crust high temp pizza and friendly manager. I honestly have no idea what happened to this restaurant this year. I spent about 40$ on raw pizza dough and uncooked toppings (minimal). The pizzas were supposed to be large, and I'm honestly glad they under-delivered because I didn't want to eat more. There is cheap grocery store mozz, what tastes like canned mushrooms, and what I think is canned sausage. Store bought frozen pizza is better. I can only surmise that the restaurant was sold due to covid as there is nothing in common between what it used to be and what it is now. If you have fond memories of this restaurant, PLEASE cherish them and never go back.

Not my favorite and probably the lesser meal of our Telluride visit. The restaurant is in an extremely convenient location. I think it's worth the little extra walk or gondola ride for another place though. We sat down outside on a Thursday night. I don't think the host notified the waiter we were there but we got their attention and they made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal after that. It was a little chilly and they also brought over a heater, which I appreciated. I got the Salsicca Bromina pizza. My girlfriend and I shared a Cesare salad and she got the Pollo Al Limone E Carciofi. Pretty basic salad and pizza. The pizza was definitely better hot out of the oven. I usually like cold pizza a lot but the few remaining slices weren't the same the next day. The pollo entree was salty to the point of being too much for even a normal lover of salty foods. That's saying something when my girlfriend thinks something is overly salty. I would've said something but she was too polite until it was too late. My Face Down Brown came in a can. That was a little disappointing, considering that's the local brewery. I'd hope the stuff is on tap. I'd also hope to get something more than a disposable plastic cup at a restaurant where the entrees average about $25.

Really good pizza! Definitely worth a stop in if you are in the Telluride mountain Village area! I love how they have that huge plaza set up outside for tables to eat at. Our server was very friendly, and everyone else there seemed nice. The main guy might be a little intense but maybe he's a Capricorn haha ;) Anyways, if you're looking for affordable the pizza and beer were on the lower price range. I was going to get wine but it was $12 a glass minimum and I'm a poor millennial! Oh also, pretty good tiramisu.

    Hot salami (pepperoni?) pizza

I hate to write a bad review... but the pizza here is just terrible. I got the Diovola, which the menu said was spicy salami (although it looks to me like pepperoni - you be the judge). It was greasy, had almost no taste, and left me just overall not feeling well. My wife got the vegetarian pizza and had maybe three bites. The waitress was really nice and it was pretty funny to see her confused look when we both didn't ask for a box to go. You would think in this town with that location and those prices ($29 for a chicken parm!) the food would be amazing, but sadly it is mediocre at best. Also, I don't really understand the backyard BBQ table clothes and plastic chairs/plastic cups for water. I'm not really into fancy restaurants but the chairs were uncomfortable and the table cloth was sticky. Bottom line - if you have little kids with you and are trying to save some money I could see going here I guess, but just know the pizza is terrible. I hope they can fix some of these things because this place has potential.

Great service and food! Highly recommend! We didn't have reservations, and they were still able to get us in!

wow Bruno is the best and will give you an experience of a life time! The food was amazing and even with the restaurant packed Bruno was able to get the chefs to make me a chicken Marsala even though they don't serve it! The bartenders will make you the best espresso martini you will ever have, and I've had espresso martinis all over the world! The food is amazing but the experience is even better! if you can ask for Bruno, do so as he will make your experience above and beyond!

Great food. We stayed in the Mountain Village and did carry out twice. The lasagna and bolognese are spectacular.

Our party witnessed Kenny having multiple glasses of wine throughout the evening, and this likely contributed to our issues. After a delicious meal and experience we were presented with a receipt that erroneously stated we had one more drink than we ordered. The meal was over $800, so a $20 drink error should have been corrected with no issues. However Kenny insisted he was correct, and then we overheard him say to cancel our reservation. 30 minutes after we paid (including the extra drink we did not order) our Open Table reservation was canceled so now we can't leave a review on Open Table. Dine here at your own risk. The food is delicious, but be aware of drinking issues by the chef's husband.

Let me give you the deets: First of all...it is up at Mountain Village. The Little Bar at the Lumiere (per OpenTable.com), is nicely located at the intimate 28-room* Lumiere Hotel (near the gondolas). You take the garage elevator to the 4th floor and voila...swanky, cozy, elegant lounge. It is IMHO (in my honest opinion) TELLURIDE'S BEST KEPT SECRET! A Conde Nast top 100 hotel...and the bar + restaurant is exceptional. Lumiere Little Bar staff Kat and Alex took excellent care of us as we selected a cozy corner of this beautifully understated, mountain cozy bar lounge. The fireplaces, lounge tunes (think Zero 7 and Bitter:Sweet), and ambiance here are like a Four Seasons private residence lounge, but with even better food! I knew we were in for a treat when we asked each of these lovely Lumiere ambassadors what they like on the menu, and both were GUSHING about the food...and both struggled to find the words to explain just why the dishes tasted so good. It was geniune...honest...they were still gushing. We started to get the idea that perhaps we were going to be amazed with our dishes no matter which ones we chose. We chose items based on their recommendations: the caesar salad, short rib taco, mushroom lasagna. We weren't starving since we had a large lunch, but we were eager to see what all this fuss was about! First up was the bread basket. It included a couple of lovely, warmed ciabatta rolls (whole grain wheat and plain) with salted butter. Excellent, traditional start. Then the caesar. The caesar dressing is amazing. Magic. Made with...love? The balance of lemon, garlic, white anchovy, the texture of the parmesan...wow. Best caesar in memory. Truly. Then, the short rib taco. OMG. Three letters. F*c%$ng Awesome. Fourteen letters. Either way, it rocked. The flavors in it...salty, tangy, sweet...umami. Perfection. The lasagna...WOW. Three letters again. F*c7$ng Incredible. You do the math. Meantime, I'm eating the lasagna. (Diversion - that's my strategy.) The lasagna...deconstructed to a certain degree with a melange of vegetables and lentils off to the side, with a gorgeously fried tofu cube...the crispy lasagna pasta layers atop creamy goat cheese, ricotta...mushrooms. Right about now, I started to formulate my strategy to maintain room for dessert. That lemon tart with chocolate, hazelnut crust, vanilla whipped creme and berry compote...definitely had my number. As in 911. Urgent and immediate attention required. The dessert arrived and you know you love someone (or you're just pretty mind-blowingly thoughtful) when you put down your fork and say, "...oh no - you go ahead and eat the rest. I'm full." I did not even remember to take a picture before devouring it. I could have eaten an entire tart by myself. Not one 'dessert' portion. The whole tart. I can peddle up the mountain again tomorrow to burn those calories, I think to myself. Piece of tart, err um, I mean cake. I learned that Chef Eamonn O'Hara is the magic man behind the curtain. I think we ought to erect a monument in his name. My guy suggested an addition to Mt Rushmore. I say Rushmore isn't thinking big enough. Yep - it's passionate, head-over-heels-love at Foodie first taste Mr. O'Hara. Meantime, I guess we'll just have to go back tomorrow night for another dining revelation as we figure out to get this guy's magic to reach us back home in Boulder, CO. For now, I just say make this a MUST DINE while in Telluride or the surrounding, say, 500 miles. Alex, Kat, Chef Eamonn...You da bomb. We'll see you in 24. *18 guest rooms, 10 residences as we learned. In any case, it's intimate, charming and understated.

Alpino Vino: Even More Heavenly Than Lunch…read more I had lunch at this heavenly high altitude delicious mountain ski-in restaurant 4 out of 5 days. The fixed prix dinner feast was even more heavenly despite having imbibed 4 margaritas before the 5:45 pm arrival; and I drink very little if any daily. This very special experience starts when you are picked up by the gondola at Mountain Village by a decked out snow track. The relatively smooth ride up takes about 20 minutes - just enough time to get acquainted with the other about ten guests who were extremely nice and interesting. The food with wine pairings for each course was delicious and the service impeccable. The ride down seemed shorter. Due to the 9 glasses of cocktails and wine, my trip back to the right room was a little shaky. But this incredible culinary experience made the expected hangover worth it. I hope to be back next year, this time having learned my lesson.

I couldn't jump back on the lifts fast enough to head back up and check it out. It was a little before noon and the hostess said everything was booked for the day but she could put us in the list for a 2:00pm inside table should something open up. I asked about outside and she said no chance, it was already booked and everyone shows up so inside was our only choice. Five minutes later, my friend came down the hill not realizing I had already been there and asked about 2:00pm seating outside and she told him it was booked but people no show all the time so just be there before 2:00 and chances were she could seat him. Hmmmm. Anyhow, we show up for 2:00pm seating and asked about an outside table and she said it was all booked but could sit us inside. We were brought inside to a nice table by the window. The restaurant was empty except for 1 person at the fireside table and a table of 4 that were on the way out. Inside was decorated very cute, rustic. Each chair had a nice blanket available if needed. Our server Marissa was very nice and prompt. Marissa asked us if we wanted still or sparkling water, we asked for still. We looked at the wines by the glass menu and ordered two glasses of the sparkling Rose Pinot Noir. $24. This was actually delicious. We decided to split the Alpino Vino Signature Grilled Cheese Sandwich with the Organic Tomato Gorgonzola Soup. $32. We also ordered an extra tomato soup since we split the sandwich. The grill cheese sandwich was lacking cheese but had plenty of pesto, arugula and tomato. The tomato soup was served cold and no taste of the Gorgonzola. A big dash of oil on top. The food was a definite miss. When the bill arrived, we also noticed a $10 charge for the still water. Had we been informed we would be charged for still water we wouldn't have ordered it. We had our own with us if we had known. The water price is not stated on the menu. There is also a 5% culinary service charge added to all checks and $6 to split the sandwich. This is notated in the bottom of the menu. So, while it is a cool location and beautiful views if you are privileged enough to sit outside, the food was a definite miss and the extra charges were petty. I will say we saw the charcuterie board pass by and it looked delicious. Marissa was nice but could have informed us of the $10 for a couple of glasses of water. Go for the views and a glass of vino or bubbles if you can sit outside.
