Super Pepperoni Old Chicago (stuffed crust)

Really good pizza joint and very laid back atmosphere. They had a full bar and sports on the TV screens. Server was super nice. Mondays are buy 2, 10inch pizzas for 1 price. Great deal!

Delicious pizza and great service! We had pizza , garlic knots and a salad. Our server was so friendly and checked back on us often. We were seated upstairs overlooking the bar area where there are many tvs showing various sports. This is definitely a go to spot in Telluride when you are hungry!

Chester's Tail Wagger, Classic Pizza (seasonal)

We struggled with places being closed during the off season, so we ended up coming here twice while in Telluride. Between our visits, my husband and I shared: - Chester's Tail Wagger, Classic Pizza (seasonal) - Little Rose, Detroit Style Pizza - Gold Hill, Detroit Style Pizza - Southwestern BBQ Chicken, Detroit Style Pizza We really enjoyed everything we had here. The seasonal pizza was definitely my favorite followed by the Little Rose. They have a really good Detroit style crust. I tried my mom's Gold Hill on a classic crust and actually thought that pizza was better on the classic crust instead of the Detroit. I wish the BBQ pizza had BBQ sauce as the base instead of red sauce with just a drizzle of BBQ. The red sauce was a bit weird to me on a BBQ pizza, but it was still good. I just recently discovered they also have locations in Denver, but it's called Blue Pan Pizza so maybe I'll be back sooner than I thought!

Woof!! This pizza is Devine. Something about a fresh baked pie in high altitude that hits differently. And can't be replicated. I love that they offer Detroit style and traditional. It was so good I might even forgive them for their poor taste in decor. Ha. (Hint: I'm not a Michigan fan) You have a choice of 3 sizes. But really. Why order anything but the large? Part of the charm of Telluride. I'm here for it.

OMG! We decided to stop by this spot and see what all the buzz is about! We ordered the garlic knots which tasted amazing and the red sauce on the side was the perfect sauce to dip them in! I ordered the tropical Long Island Iced Tea which was delicious. Since we discovered that this place was famous was its Detroit-styled pizza, we decided to try Detroit style pizza for the first time. We ordered the veggie pizza Detroit style. It did not disappoint. Our server, Kirsty, not sure if I spelled her name correctly was absolutely wonderful! Next time I'm back in Telluride, I'll be back!

Every time we come to Telluride, we basically sprint to Brown Dog Pizza like it's the finish line of a pizza marathon. Brown Dog is hands down our favorite spot. Ordered for pickup this time. The Detroit-style pizza is out-of-this-world delicious--deep, cheesy, and loaded with flavor. You can tell why it's award-winning--absolutely deserving! Seriously! It wins awards! Also grabbed the wings because... balance, right? Spicy, crispy, and completely worth fighting over. Brown Dog is award-winning for a reason--every bite reminds you why. Do not leave Telluride without eating here. Highly recommend!!! Ambiance inside is worth eating in as well!

Detroit style (small - 4 slices)

Pizza joint in the middle of town. Menu covers pizza, salads, wings, burgers, and sandwiches. Good selection of beers as well. We went for a Greek Salad and a small Detroit Style pizza with Thick Cut Pepperoni and Banana peppers. Salad was very good. Plenty of toppings and good size. The pizza was pretty good. Thicker crust with plenty of toppings. Service was good as well. Ambiance is standard bar-ish type look. N*joy

This place is the best pizza in probably all of Colorado (maybe the whole west coast?). But you already knew that if you're reading reviews. Put your name on the waitlist and go to the rooftop bar next door and kill some time because whatever the wait - it is WORTH IT. The flavors, the ingredients, the CRUNCH at the bottom of the Detroit style!!!! I'm not a Detroit pizza style person at all but this place changed my mind. Their prices are super reasonable too for being in Telluride, especially for their drinks. Our server was so fun and awesome, I wish I could remember his name. Already can't wait to be back.

Calzone w spinach and roasted garlic
    Lori W.

My two friends and I visited here during Camp Alderwild and had a delicious lunch while we waited out the rain. I got a calzone w roasted garlic and spinach and it was delicious and super cheesy! Our server was very nice and helpful. I loved the ambiance of the place, they had spots on the tvs and a patio you could also sit on. I hope to come back next time I'm in town!

Great spot in Telluride ! The pizza was delicious but definitely some miscommunication with the cost of what we got. It was more expensive than we were expecting. Over $40 for this pizza felt a little extravagant. We would of got a different option had we understood the way the half and half went. We asked about it ahead of time and Crystal and I both thought it was going to be a different price than the receipt. So this meal over all was more than we wanted to spend. We asked about it after and were told that we must of misunderstood. That is fine. The wings had a good flavor. And we loved the crust on this pizza! The venue is fun and vibrant and pretty quick service for being busy. I would go back for sure but would get one kind and just get two smalls instead if we wanted different kinds- that way you get more crispy edges and it would be the same price.

    Caesar salad and garlic knots
    Amber B.

We rolled into Telluride after a long day of travel and were absolutely starving. It was the weekend of the film festival, so everywhere was packed, but Brown Dog Pizza had only a 20-30 minute wait. Super easy system--you put your number in, check your place in line, and get a text when it's your turn. We were seated upstairs inside, which had a fun, eclectic vibe with lots of sports memorabilia. Our server was quick, friendly, and suggested we try the Detroit-style pizza since it was our first time. We also ordered a Caesar salad and garlic knots to start. The salad came out fast and was a surprise hit--sometimes the simplest things end up being the stars, and this Caesar was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The garlic knots, on the other hand, weren't for us. Something about the butter or seasoning just tasted off, though the portion size was huge. Then came the pizza--holy moly, it was a brick! Luckily, we only ordered a small, and even then we could only manage one piece each. Perfect for leftovers later that night. The crust was thick and crispy, loaded with toppings, and definitely lived up to the hype. All in all, Brown Dog has a cool vibe, solid service, and truly standout pizza. We'd skip the garlic knots next time, but we'd 100% come back for that Detroit-style pie.

    Entree size Greek salad
    Asheritah C.

What a great pizza place! We ordered a large Greek salad (entree size) and shared it among our family as an appetizer. As soon as we finished our salad plates, our deep dish pizza came out, and I was surprised by how fast the service was. Our deep dish was delicious, and the amount in one large was once again just enough for the five of us to share without feeling stuffed or bloated. I would definitely be back and try more options on the menu.

    Vegan Cheese
    Katelyn L.

Got a free slice of vegan cheese pizza at the last dollar saloon! I'm dairy free and often steer away from pizza because most fake cheese tastes like boogers, but this was pretty good! Still has that gooey vegan cheese texture but the red pepper flakes helped a lot...at the end of the day I got a free slice of pizza in paradise who can complain.

Good place to watch Super Bowl?

Absolutely! Settle in with a Brooklyn Bridge pizza and enjoy TVs on whatever level of the restaurant you're in. Great beer list too.

The decor is both elegant and cozy, perfect for an upscale mountain resort town. Service was first rate and the food was incredible. My wine was delicious as was my husband's Old Fashioned. I ordered oysters, octopus (after having a bite of my husband's), and the Branzino which they filleted (offered the choice, whole fish or filleted.) My husband had the salmon. Though neither of us considered ourselves butterscotch lovers, we ordered the dessert which was the server's favorite and we like to try new flavors and interpretations. Guess what? It was amazing as well. I guess we are butterscotch people. :) I'll eat here again as we're definitely returning to Telluride.

From the moment the first plate arrived, I felt that familiar, disarming sensation--the one I once believed lost to time and repetition. Food here does not shout; it remembers. Each dish is composed with restraint and confidence, flavors layered not to impress but to tell the truth. Technique is evident, yes, but never vain. This is cooking that understands that greatness is not excess, but intention. And then there was Jennifer. A meal can be excellent; an experience requires a guide. Jennifer moved through the evening with an effortless grace, reading the table the way a seasoned editor reads a manuscript. Her recommendations felt less like suggestions and more like quiet assurances: Trust this. You will like where this is going. She elevated the evening not through performance, but through care--anticipating needs, illuminating choices, and reminding us that hospitality, like cuisine, is an art of empathy. By the end of the meal, I was left with a simple, humbling realization: the most extraordinary restaurants do not merely feed us. They restore our faith that thoughtfulness still matters. Sidework does exactly that. And in doing so, it earns something far more difficult than praise--it earns remembrance.
