We had a great experience! Fernando took care of us at the bar last Friday, and everything was excellent. The pizza was delicious, the beers were ice cold, and the service was outstanding. He made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. I highly recommend stopping by for a pizza and a cold beer. We were looking for a quick bite when we first arrive in Telluride Mountain Village. The pizza was so good!!! You walk in and order at the window and find your own seat. They give you and number and bring out your pizza. The little bar area was cute too. Pizza was really good. Crust was perfect and crispy. We had pepperoni, mushroom and red onions. So this place was not recommended by the front desk staff at our hotel. We should've listened. Yeah you walk up to order and they bring food to the table. The food is average in taste, the slice of pizza was large I'll give them that. The manager took our order: slice of pizza, garlic bread, apple salad and a coke. He asked if I wanted a soda from the fountain or fridge and I told him the fountain. My wife picked up our table number and went to our table while I paid. I asked him for my cup and he said my wife took it. I went to our table and she said she didn't get one. I went back to get one and the manager seemed offended and said I told him I wanted a drink from the fridge and that is what he charged me for. I said I was sorry if he miss understood me but I wanted a fountain drink. He then gave me two glasses and I said I only needed one. He again seemed upset and said now I have a cup for my wife because I asked for one for her? I got my drink and sat down to eat. They brought out my wife's salad and shortly afterwards a plate of cheese bread sticks, which is not what we ordered. My wife went up to explain the situation and the manager said she got what she told him she wanted? But they did make the bread knots for her . At no time did they say sorry for miss communication or take any responsibility for issues. We're from out of state visiting Telluride and would not recommend wasting your money here. Great place for great pizza and salads, along with reasonable drink prices. The staff are friendly, service is quick. They have two of the most beat up foosball tables known to mankind, I mean the goalie doesn't even have legs on one of the tables, but it is what it is when the foosball at Tracks a few steps away is $1/game. Came here for a quick drink and a slice of pizza on Thanksgiving. You order at the counter and the make your drinks at the bar. I will say everyone seems fairly grumpy that worked there but I can't blame them as it was a holiday and fairly slow. The pizza was perfect to hold us over until dinner. By the time we finished up our pizza it was crazy crowded. Over 30 people had randomly walked in. I appreciate the fact that they were open on the holiday. Plenty of seating for large groups and a few games you can play. Also love the notes to the women in the bathrooms. Glad to see safety is still a priority. Overall, 4/5 stars! read more

After spending a ridiculous amount of money on new ski boots and custom liners, I wanted a low key dinner option that was better than fast casual, but didn't break the bank. We stopped in to Crazy Elk around 7 and snagged a few seats at the bar. Their drink prices (draft and bottled beer, canned wine, cocktails) were very reasonable and the service was great. We made our own pizza and included both the unique meats (elk pepperoni and wagyu sausage). The pizza was decent - it wasn't the best pizza I've ever had, but I definitely didn't regret ordering it. (It beat the pants off the flatbread at Timber Room.) We also ordered one of their salads and I was pretty impressed with the combination of ingredients and flavor of the dressing. I also loved that they drizzled the dressing and then gave an extra side of it instead of soaking it in dressing. The vibe here is definitely a dive bar feel, which was much appreciated after a long day 3 days of skiing. This would be a good place to go with a group of friends when you're ready to shovel calories into your face after shredding gnar all day. The pizza is pretty good. It's a solid choice, but nothing I'd not be able to live without. What I liked most was that they sell slices (1/4 of a large pizza--so big!) for $5 and it's one of the more reasonably-priced lunch options for kids that they'll actually eat. They had cheese slices, pepperoni, veggie, and combo when I was there. Lines can get long at lunchtime, but the location can't be beat with a view of the gondola and lift right out the back of the restaurant. Would return for an $18 large cheese or some $5 slices. We had a ski club party at Crazy Elks in Telluride this week and it was awesome!!! I had a group of 34 skiers and the General Manager (Jacob Linn) went way out of his way to accommodate both our eating and drinking needs, offering me multiple ideas to deal with the group and our budget. Our club ski trips always start with a Pizza Party after we arrive and in all seriousness, this was the best one I've been to! What you also really need to know was that we had a full assortment of pizzas and salads - and everyone agreed that these were excellent in every respect (I personally liked the Csrnovore). We all gave Jacob and his team a rousing round of applause at the end!! Speaking of his Team - Danny led the staff in getting our drinks, bringing out the food, cleaning away dishes throughout the meal (getting us clean plates while going up for seconds), etc. Again, this was my 4th ski trip I've led and by far the best pizza and service I've ever gotten. We popped in here for dinner right before they closed and after a long day of traveling and it hit the spot! They sell pizza by the slice all day, and when I say slice, I really mean like 2 slices. They're huge! I really enjoyed my piece of cheese pizza. I also ordered their mozzarella, tomato, and avocado salad and it was just what this momma needed! So fresh, large, and tasty. I had been craving a salad and this one had all of my favorite things. Believe it or not, my husband got it too and also really enjoyed it! The restaurant is large so would be great for groups, also great for take out if you want to bring tasty pizza back to your hotel/condo/house. Pretty bad when employee who answered the phone apparently never took time to learn the menu and pricing. Pizza was very average. I asked that the 8 cut pizza be cut into 16s because kids were eating it. I was told that it would be done. It wasn't. The place was not busy. The help just didn't seem to be engaged in what they were doing. I'll go into town for pizza next trip and avoid this place. read more

Terrible customer service. I was not able to find the "entrance" door and was freezing my toes off, so I finally went in the "exit" door. Nobody in line and one table of people eating. The guy working there would not let me order a pizza to go unless I used the correct door. I then found out it was an unmarked service looking door outside to get around. Not easy to find. The same guy then makes me sign in (again nobody else was there), he opened the rope, then went around to the register to take my order. Despite that whole debacle the pizza was mediocre at best. Both my husband and I felt really sick the rest of the night after eating it... so we will not be returning. Good luck if you try this place. Set your customer service expectations low. read more
