It was as good of meal as we had our entire vacation- and the price was very reasonable, especially when compared to resort/hotel prices. It sits on the lagoon so there are really nice views- we prefer to sit outside and it was great. The warm rolls they brought out were delicious We started with 2 pizzas to share, and both were fantastic. We tried the BarBQ chicken pizza and the meatlovers- both really really good We all had pasta for main course. There is one dish that was penne with shrimp and chicken- that was the best. The fettuccine Alfredo was great, definitely better than average. The spicy shrimp pasta was ok- the pasta was undercooked but the shrimp and pesto was tasty. While staying in the Hotel Zone at El Presidente Cancun, I wanted something quick that wasn't another overpriced hotel option -- and that's how I stumbled onto this gem. La Pizzarra delivered a thin-crust beauty loaded with quality pepperoni and well-seasoned meatballs. The sauce had just the right touch of sweetness, and the crust held up perfectly -- no flop, no soggy center, just a slice you could fold and enjoy. For our appetizer, we ordered the Barada. As you can see from the picture, it came out with a beautiful presentation and it was equally as delicious. The roasted garlic on the bread was delicious. For my main course, I had spaghetti carbonara. It was super very good. One of the better carbonara as I have had in a very long time. It was smoky it was salty. It was just plain delicious. My wife had the pesky Rosa, which was made with Seabass and she substituted a Caprese salad for the other thing that was on the dish. She enjoyed her meal also, and as usual, I was able to finish the other half lol. One of the more interesting parts of her dinner were the potatoes. I believe they were real potatoes prepared properly, and not powdered or flaked rehydrated. For dessert, my wife ordered the tiramisu and I ordered the cheesecake with coconut. My wife says the tiramisu was fantastic. She liked it a lot. She really appreciated that it was a petite size. After a nice hearty dinner, it is nice to have a little suite to tickle the pallet. Unfortunately, I say that my cheesecake fell short. The flavor and the coconut were fine, but either this was a frozen cheesecake or it was an old cheesecake in the refrigerator too long. The texture was not creamy. It was instead crumbly. However, since I never liked the cheesecake that I get at a restaurant this is no exception, and I won't take away anything from the restaurant itself. Overall, I will have to say the service was fantastic, we sat outside overlooking the water on a beautiful evening, and it was the perfect top off to a fun day in Cancun. We came here on a hot Spring day in March as the place is walking distance from our resort, offered a 10% discount, and my 8 year old wanted to come here over a Mexican restaurant. This place is amazing! All outdoors but was amazingly cool in the shade with a beautiful view of the ocean. The servers all spoke English and were very attentive. The margaritas and smoothies for the ninos were excellent. The Italian food was just as good if not better than what we had in Italy. Highly recommend! read more

Absolutely delicious Neapolitan pizzas. The complimentary appetizer of oven roasted whole garlic and bread was a pleasant surprise. The mezcalitas were good too. Service excellent. It's located in a mall and there are no proper directions on how to get there. It was quite a bit of a walk from the parking garage or we didn't know of a quicker way to get there! So keep that in mind and call ahead and ask for directions. Must visit for your pizza craving! read more

Our group of three walked past several restaurants within La Isla Cancun Shopping Village before saying this, La Pizzarra was where we would like to have a casual late afternoon lunch. Nice open air venue with a view of the boardwalk & water. Loved the swing bar seating suspended by ropes from the ceiling beams. Played it safe and sat at a table. Looked at an online menu but finally asked for paper menu to browse. Placed the following order: * Calamari E Gamberetto Principo - shrimp and naked calamari rings, sautéed with a garlic-oil infusion and served with homemade crackers & fresh lime * Spaghetti Marinara - octopus, calamari & shrimp with black olives, roasted bell peppers and tomato sauce * Amante Della Carne Pizza - pepperoni, bacon, Italian sausage, ham, ground beef, and mozzarella with tomato sauce * Tecate and Heineken beers plus an Orangeade for our beverages. Our meal was accompanied with hot buns served with roasted garlic bulb, olive oil + balsamic vinegar. So delicious that we asked for a second serving! We have to say that this was the best meal so far on our vacation! Fresh ingredients, flavourful and reasonably priced. Would also return and highly recommend too. Had trouble finding restaurants near our hotel that offered gluten free options but this place hit the spot! Located in La Isla Mall (which is a super fun place to visit) and it has a view of the water. Service was a little slow and the place started filling up shortly after we arrived. Complimentary rolls and fresh roasted garlic/balsamic was brought to the table. We ordered two pizzas - one gluten free and the other regular. The gluten free pizza came on a different tray which was reassuring to us that they are aware of cross contamination. Pizzas were pretty good but lacked flavor but red pepper fixed that. read more

Let me start by saying I haven't left a review in a long time. I felt this was a must, such a great experience. On vacation in Cancun, with endless opportunities for food, and right across from the Westin Lagunamar. I was over the tacos and was looking for my weakness, PIZZA. We decided to give this place a shot based on reviews. It took a little walk to actually find it, but we finally did. Tucked in corner of La Islas, we found Pizzarra. This place is very classy and clean with lots of charm. When looking @ the logo, I thought it was your average casual pizza place, but found a littles gem. Carlos, our waiter was awesome, great recommendations and patience. I honestly had a hard time trying to make a decision, pizza was the last thing in my mind after looking over the menu several times. Starting with our house bread w/roasted garlic OMG, followed by spinach & artichoke dip. This was so good my wife started cutting the bread bowl before we finished the dip. We decided on the Fettuccine Pratto, wow, this was delicious and very satisfying. Although we were pretty full, we decided on a pizza to try and take back to our room, very tasty. We couldn't have made a better decision, excellent food, outstanding service ( Carlos) and casual but romantic ambience. read more

This is tourist location. Located at the end of a mall near the water and Ferris wheel. If you sit in the balcony then you'll have a view of the water. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food was ok. The Cesar salad was drenched in anchovies dressing which made it difficult to eat. The pasta was good and the ham was very tasty. The restaurant is very clean and the restrooms were good to use. It's an option if you're in the area. read more

Ya know, this is a nice little place on the waterfront. We actually ate there 3 times this trip to Cancun. They have the best Lasagna I've ever had. Very basic with an excellent sauce. The Fettuccini Alfredo was a bit bland but I enjoyed it on a night where my stomach was looking for something a little less harsh. Great mixed drinks too. read more

Really really enjoyed our meal here. My fillet was a little more rare than expected (ordered medium) but the flavor was great and the atmosphere very Cancun - able to eat with a great view of the water and energy all around. Delicious pizza! Vegetarian! Service is lacking. We had to ask for napkins and utensils. The pina colada my mom has was sad. It was more like an ice slushy. No pineapple flavor. No coconut flavor. She said it tasted like ice. We did wait a while for the pizza despite being first to order, we were served last. One night at the hotel in Cancun, we wanted pizza and we wanted it to be brought to us. Because...lazy/tired Americans :-P Someone at the concierge desk recommended La Pizzarra and helped us order. We got two pizzas to suit the different tastes of our group. Delivery was pretty quick, but they are located right across the street from our hotel. The pizza was good enough. On a previous visit, we ordered from Dominos and honestly, I preferred that pizza more. Thinner and crispier crust. The pizza was fine, but if I make it back to Cancun, I would probably order from or go somewhere else. read more

We ordered delivery for dinner on a night where we didn't want to get out. We had a Meat Lovers and a Tutto Formaggi Tartuffe; would not order the Meat Lovers again. Dough, sauce, and cheese were all sun-par and would probably just prefer the quality of a chain like Domino's or even Little Caesar's. The Tutto Formaggi Tartuffe pizza was better, but still not super great. The only upside was that they deliver and the delivery man can take credit cards, which was convenient. read more

We loved our meal at La Pizzara. There new location next to the Ferris Wheel at La Isla is really nice. The brand new facility has a Tuscany feel with the brick walls and arches and unlike the old location it is air conditioned. Our waiter Paulino spoke English well and was very professional. He mixed my husband's Carajillo cocktail with perfection at the table. We started with the build your own salad where you can select the ingredients you would like in your salad. The balsamic dressing was a real treat with a ground up basil in it. My husband's in chicken parm with spaghetti was very good and a nice portion. The Pollo Pizzarra (grilled chicken breast with ricotta cheese on top and a creamy white sauce with spinach was delish. We will be back again. Oh and the warm pizza dough stuffed with bananas and Nutella was a great ending. Only suggestion would be it should be served with more vanilla ice cream. read more
