This was our first meal when we landed in Cancun and we were enticed into dining here because they…read morewere offering free cocktails. The restaurant is located on the second floor of the mall near hotel zone. When we arrived, the eatery was pretty empty. After looking over the menu, we decided to shared the shrimp ceviche and filet mignon with some fries. For drinks, my friend ordered the tamarind margarita and I had our bartender/server make me something without alcohol. Our drinks looked great and were very refreshing! The margarita was strong and my mocktail was very pretty and gradient! It had orange juice, pineapple, and grenadine in it. The ceviche was very tasty! We loved the sweet mango pieces incorporated into it so much that we ordered extra mango. The filet and fries were also really good. I liked that they cooked the steak in a wood fired oven. The steak was cooked perfectly and we were so stuffed afterwards. Our server was very attentive and friendly as well. I had a good experience here and wouldn't mind coming back the next time I'm in Cancun.

Before we vacationed in Cancun, my BF Joe K researched all the nearby restaurants to our hotel…read more Using Yelp, he found this place to have continued high ratings. So we made a point of finding them on the second floor of a mall in the hotel zone. When we first found this hard to find location, we almost got it confused with another Italian eatery that specialized in pizza in the same area. We were the only patrons there, but hoped we would get special treatment, which we did. Our waiter was extremely friendly, spoke little English, and seemed inexperienced or maybe new. We ordered drinks to start off with, but we had to ask for menus after waiting quite a long time. The waiter made me a very delicious frozen margarita though and Joe had a Bohemian beer. We almost got pizza, but I wasn't in the mood, so instead, I ordered Ravioli Di Mozzarella Di Bufala. Joe ordered Pappardelle Con La Siccia. We began our meals with a Caprese salad and Italian bread (pizza dough style). While we waited for our food, I had time to enjoy the nice, romantic, atmosphere of the restaurant with smooth jazz playing in the back ground. I liked how modern and clean the decor was and they had TV's placed around the dining area. When our food arrived, everything was very good, especially the freshly baked bread. Joe liked it so much that we decided that we would return again before our vacation was over and try their pizza, hoping that our bread was a preview of what their pizza would be like. My only complaint at that time was that my dish was lukewarm. When the waiter asked us how everything was, I told him that my food was basically cold. He just laughed and said "OK". I knew that he didn't understand what I said and let it go. When the time came for our next visit, we once again almost went to the wrong restaurant, until I checked my bookmarks on Yelp to verify where we needed to go. (After all, the name of this place looks hard to remember or pronounce). As we entered the almost empty restaurant, we had the same waiter, however, I don't think he remembered us like we did him. He was still very nice but it looked like the owner or manager was present, and I could see he was under pressure to show us a whole platter of meats that they kept refrigerated out front. Then he told us about their specials. I almost felt guilty that we specifically came for the pizza this time. Of the appetizing selections offered, we decided to share a Margherita pizza. While waiting, we were able to watch the cook making the pizza near the pizza oven. When our food was served, we noticed right off that the pizza dough was nothing like the pizza bread we had during our last visit. In fact, the bottom crust was paper thin and soggy! Our dreams for a delicious pizza were immediately dashed! When the owner stopped at our table to see how we liked it, we were too embarrassed to tell him we hated it! After forcing down a few slices, we quietly paid the bill and left, knowing that we would have to write disappointing reviews and never again look back.....

April 4, 2026 - 5 Stars!…read more Our group of 6 went to La Pizzarra based on positive reviews here and on Google. It was great!! It was as good of meal as we had our entire vacation- and the price was very reasonable, especially when compared to resort/hotel prices. It sits on the lagoon so there are really nice views- we prefer to sit outside and it was great. The warm rolls they brought out were delicious We started with 2 pizzas to share, and both were fantastic. We tried the BarBQ chicken pizza and the meatlovers- both really really good We all had pasta for main course. There is one dish that was penne with shrimp and chicken- that was the best. The fettuccine Alfredo was great, definitely better than average. The spicy shrimp pasta was ok- the pasta was undercooked but the shrimp and pesto was tasty. If you're looking for really good pizza & pasta- we highly recommend. We went at/around 7pm and didn't need reservations. Staff was outstanding- very friendly and very attentive

La Pizzarra delivered a thin-crust beauty loaded with quality pepperoni and well-seasoned meatballs. The sauce had just the right touch of sweetness, and the crust held up perfectly -- no flop, no soggy center, just a slice you could fold and enjoy. When you're on vacation and craving something familiar done right, this is exactly what you hope to find. A low-key win in the middle of the Hotel Zone. Highly recommend.

It's huge, as far as presentation it's not very fancy, it was tasty but as large as it was you'd think it had more alcohol to offset the size. But it did not. My wife ordered the aguachile with octopus. I ordered the Tuna Burger, and we got the steak quesadillas as an appetizer. My wife said she would give her aguachile a 3.8 out of 5. I thought the tuna burger was very tasty. Basically they took a tuna steak and put it between a hamburger bun. I can't really compare it to a regular meat burger. But on a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 7. It came only with lettuce and tomato, but it had flavor enough. The quesadilla's were good, but nothing special, I'd say they were comparable to any you get at an average Mexican restaurant in the states. We came here because of the high ratings. Maybe we ordered the wrong things to try, I thought everything was good, but nothing that was so good it made me want to hurry back.

The menu is simple with just enough options to where everyone can find something they like. I had the skirt steak tacos and my friend got fish tacos, We also ordered a frozen margarita and mojito that were huge!!!!! The prices were fair for what you get and the atmosphere is casual and comfortable. The music is not too loud so you can have a conversation with your group. They are not pushy to get you in and out like other places. Will definitely be back

Their selections are better and much tastier imo. However, both times of the day have panna cotta and tiramisu for dessert and they are to die for! I've always been a big fan of tiramisu and panna cotta so I'm likely biased. I went got these two desserts every time I went. The inside is nice and classy. Italian-themed. Waitstaff is professional and nice as always. Lunch has faster service from what I've seen. Dinner time was slower but the restaurant was pretty full compared to lunch, so maybe that's why. We waited for an hour before the food came out. Overall there are a lot of choices here and it's a solid choice. It's very close to the pool so it's perfect after you're done with the water!

We went for lunch, so unsure how the dinner menu is, but the dinner menu does looks better than the lunch. Ordered: - Squid Rings - Margherita Pizza - Lorenzo's Pizza - I actually kinda liked this pizza. I liked the combo of the balsamic and prosciutto on a pizza. - Chicken Alfredo - Chicken was dry - Mare e Monte Pasta - Tiramisu - Mainly cream, I think it might have had one lady finger in it? it was served in a espresso martini cup sooo might have been hard to put more in. Espresso flavor was also very light - Panna Cotta

A tub of mango, pineapple, or watermelon was only two dollars each! They also had a lot of baked goods that looked yummy and a small food court. Gigante super mercado! This supermarket is huge!…read more This big supermarket has everything you'll need for a beach holiday! It's a regular supermarket, but I suspect that the locals don't shop here at all. The prices are pretty high, and much of the food isn't quite practical. This is a two story grocery store- not counting the parking. Be sure that you don't miss the top floor, where all the liquor and food hall is. Nom! Parking is on the bottom floor. They sell you validation at the cash register. Beware- the grocery bagger is looking for tips. My favorite part of the supermarket is all the cheap Mexican gifts they sell, with clearly marked prices. Actually, many of them are cheaper than the flea market down the way, because you don't have to haggle and deal with the cat calls from the clerks. Beware of the touts selling excursions and whatnot at the entrance. Just because they're in a supermarket doesn't mean they can't take advantage of gringos. This supermarket gets awfully busy in the afternoon. The aisles are narrow. It's best to come at an off time.
