Not the best pizza I've ever had, but not mad for Cancun. It was right across the street from our hotel so we got a quick pizza to go. The prices are pretty cheap (whole pizza for about $9) and the ingredients are fresh. If you're craving pizza like we were, I'd recommend coming here if you're close by!

Chef at work preparing a fresh pizza. Check out that dough just waiting for their turn!

Right here at about the 8, 8.5km marker in the hotel zone is a great wood fired pizza spot! Very fresh and tasty! We had a pizza and one of the burritos as well, spicy was the word. Careful of the habanero salsa!

Awesome authentic Italian wood-oven pizza.

This is a must eat at. Amazing pizza restaurant. The chef is Italian and makes his own pizza dough by hand several time per day. It's so fresh and tasty that you come Md make a meal out of the crust alone. We are several things on the menu and they were all amazing. Highly recommend the avocado caprese appetizer.

Big Shrimpin Pizza and a Liter Lime Margarita!

I had the Big Shrimpin' Pizza! It was a little bland but I asked for Red Pepper and Parmesan and then added Lime from my 1 liter Margarita and it was very tasty. The margarita I ordered was a lime margarita. It came on the rocks. Then I saw an add on the side of the napkin holder that said 2x1 margaritas from 5pm to 7pm so I asked if I could still get that. They said yes so I ordered it blended and on a to go cup!

Pizza was SO good. As was the Sangria! Totally worth the walk to this place off the major hotel zone.

We (2 persons) were sat at the same time as a four top and it took us twice as long to get our drinks and food. The calamari had a fishy taste. The pasta took almost 45 minutes and did not taste like it was freshly made. While the servers were kind, the service was incredibly slow for an empty restaurant. The atmosphere was chill and enjoyed the views in a rainstorm.

Flavourful and rich . 3,8/5 We also got some house bread that was fantastic with some olive oil , and some home made limioncello as dejastif. Drinks were good with nice selection and reasonable prices It was quite expensive and we'll probably not return again

April 4, 2026 - 5 Stars!…read more Our group of 6 went to La Pizzarra based on positive reviews here and on Google. It was great!! It was as good of meal as we had our entire vacation- and the price was very reasonable, especially when compared to resort/hotel prices. It sits on the lagoon so there are really nice views- we prefer to sit outside and it was great. The warm rolls they brought out were delicious We started with 2 pizzas to share, and both were fantastic. We tried the BarBQ chicken pizza and the meatlovers- both really really good We all had pasta for main course. There is one dish that was penne with shrimp and chicken- that was the best. The fettuccine Alfredo was great, definitely better than average. The spicy shrimp pasta was ok- the pasta was undercooked but the shrimp and pesto was tasty. If you're looking for really good pizza & pasta- we highly recommend. We went at/around 7pm and didn't need reservations. Staff was outstanding- very friendly and very attentive

La Pizzarra delivered a thin-crust beauty loaded with quality pepperoni and well-seasoned meatballs. The sauce had just the right touch of sweetness, and the crust held up perfectly -- no flop, no soggy center, just a slice you could fold and enjoy. When you're on vacation and craving something familiar done right, this is exactly what you hope to find. A low-key win in the middle of the Hotel Zone. Highly recommend.

The lunch sesh has begun and we're going to give their signature Italian Restaurant a proper go at it. Welcome to Verenna Let's get right into it. Shall we. First up is the Bread - Crust is a light and crispy. Olive oil is delicate. Its a great combo. 7/10 2nd on the list is the Spaghetti Amatriciana - Pasta was perfect. The sauce is a bit salty. Accuracy is a little off. Also i found a piece of twig twig in my mouth. 5.2/10 Last but not the least is the Tiramisu - Tasted like it came out of a box. Some of the icing embellishments with the fruit is too sweet as well. Sorry, but it's a 5 for me. The restaurant was nicely laid out with the al fresco motif. The service was pretty good, just a bit lacking on intuitiveness. I had to ask for plates and cutlery when we were on the bread phase. But overall not a big deal. If you ever make it to the Live Aqua resort in cancun, do give this spot a proper go at it and let me know what you think. Hit that follow for more food and travel by yours truly. It is one of my favorite restaurants in the hotel zone and some the best Italian I have eaten. We had a group of 10 and were seated in a private room. The service is top notch. Everyone is so helpful and kind. They have an extensive wine list that is sure to satisfy any craving. Before dinner, they bring bread with cheese and spicy onions and peppers that is delicious. My personal favorite meal is the green hats, but I really don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything they serve is the perfect balance of flavors. Everyone in our group loves their meal which is why this place continues to be a staple for us year after year. I look forward to coming back to Cancun just to eat at the restaurant. Our time and money is always well spent here and we have always had a wonderful time and incredible food. We do not do all inclusive, but even if you do, I would still recommend making a stop here.

With its all glass walls, the space was elegant and inviting. The kitchen was all glass so you can see the chefs preparing the food. We didn't have reservations, but the hostess found us a great table. Our main server was Alejandro and he was more than helpful in making sure we ordered what we wanted. With Italian food, I also prefer very good Italian wine versus a cocktail. He pointed me to 2 red wines that were bold and heavy as I requested. Both were just OK, but expensive. Wines by the bottle was ridiculously high. Regardless, he was great in steering me to the type of dishes more suited to what I was asking for and not just the most expensive. This restaurant has been highly recommended by my brother and sister in law for years. They had told us it was one of the best Italian food they have had anywhere. But, In its previous location, it just looked a bit stuffy for a CANCÚN vacation meal. At its new location, though it was still upscale, it seemed more approachable to us somehow. We just came back from a 10 day vacation at the Amalfi coast, and Rome, Italy. We found the pastas at Cenacolo to be comparable if not better. We had bruschetta, Ragu spaghetti, lasagna, and their chocolate soufflé. We had read that the soufflé was outstanding so we ordered 2. We were NOT disappointed with any of the food items.

But now we really love it here, primarily because of the great service, as well as the pastas and meaty dishes. Dining & Atmoshphere: ~ White table cloth dining. Very elegant, not dim and romantic, but comfortable. "Table for two" tables might be fairly close together, but when you stay at this resort, you'll usually recognize who you're sitting next to because you probably met at the pool lol. And we've met a lot of cool people here too. They also set up tables for large groups if needed. Reservations are recommended for dinner. Plus, dressing up appropriately is required! Bellà Antipasti, Secondi, & Primis: ~ They start you off with a freshly baked olive bread loaf, meant for dipping in olive oil / balsamic. Love it when bread comes out hot! We also tried the Beef Carpacci, which were soft beef slices with a peppery saltiness! Good stuff! The Truffle Arancini were crunchy parmesan rice balls that were tasty. As for the Mussels in White Wine, mmm mmm loved the garlic sauce it was in! And we always ordered the Duo Cream Soup, which is simply refreshing! ~ For Secondi, we had tried the Chicken Parmigiana, which was OK. Nothing special imo. Same with the Pork Chop, which was a bit well-done for my pallet. The more flavorful stuff was the Lamb Shank and the Ossobuco with Milanese Risotto; OMG, these two dishes were amazing! Our two favorites of all! What I didn't get to try was the Katafi Shrimp. This popular dish must have gone past our table at least seven times. Gotta order it next time. ~ As for Primi dishes, we've enjoyed the Truffle Risotto! The Lasagna Bolognese was meaty goodness heavily covered in melted mozzarella. The Truffle Fettuccine is always a winning choice. Add some chicken to it. The Pesto Gnocchi is chewy and enjoyable! Pass on the Shrimp Ravioli as well as the Beef Cannelloni. They were good, just not as satisfying as the other Primi dishes. Tl;DR Bellà Restaurant has a variety of Italian dishes from pastas, to seafood, risottos plates, to tender meaty dishes, and they can make my gluten-free friends happy with that option. Dining here is clean and pleasant. Service by the staff and our wine som has been nothing short of excellent! Compliments to the chef! There's just so many good choices on the menu. So you can't go wrong eating here. Some dishes are a good-sized portion, but some are small enough to try if you wanna order another. Overall, we love it here!
