I grew up right near here and thought it was a great spot, and upon returning after 10 years its still is. Great pizza, good chicken dishes and good pasta. Their chicken rolls and garlic knots are also pretty good. The last time I was there I got the Chicken Francese with a side of pasta with meat sauce and it was very good. Also a lot of times I will get the Penne E Gamberi and sub the shrimp out for chicken and it is great. It has a perfect light garlic sauce with a few veggies and is one of my favorites. A great spot for pizza and chicken rolls for lunch, or for a nice dinner as well. I do recommend take-out over eating in the restaurant as the place is nothing special and usually gets pretty packed due to its popularity. read more

Big fan of the whole wheat bar pies! It's like a personal pie that can be shared since they are filling after a few slices. The salad one has so much flavor you don't need to add dressing. The buffalo chicken one doesn't leave your mouth on fire because of the blue cheese sauce. read more

This is my go to pizza last fifteen years esp since my friend also owned a store in the same shopping complex. However today's experience has left me very disappointed. I've dealt with loui plenty of times as well as Tony the manager there who's awesome. Today I had the esteemed pleasure of dealing with Shane. Please fire him. When I asked him for a new slice of pizza because the existing pie looked like a mouse bit off the ends he said he didn't have any. I said I'd wait then he pulled out a pie from the bottom cut me a small slice and proceeded to sell it to me. I said no I want the slice next to him he then threw it on the counter instead of the plate and sold it to me gave me my change. Why bother coming here if you're going to have employees like this? If you dont like where you work quit bruh!!!! This isn't customer service. read more

Ordered 4 pizzas for pick up. Had to stand in line to pick up the pizzas. Not too happy about that. Made up for it with the food though. Ordered a dozen garlic knots-excellent. Ordered Sicilian style house special-very tasty. Regular pepperoni-excellent. Bianca-not my favorite but still delicious. Others liked it very much. Overall, recommend this place. Extremely disappointed with La piazza. While the food is always tasty and reliable, the customer service is beyond awful. My children are currently quarantining so we need to bring food in tonight. My wife and I order a baked ziti and salad to share. When we open the baked ziti it look like a side order that they charge $14.25 for. We had ask for extra cheese for a salad to which they charged 1.25, I normally would not have a problem with this, but when the extra cheese was in a teaspoon cup that was not acceptable. I called the restaurant to express my concerns to be only told everything is already portioned out and the manger hung up the phone. I really wish this establishment would have better customer service because the food is always good. My wife and I are currently still hungry after what should have been more than enough. read more

This was a go-to place for my in-laws for years and I will always have great memories from there. This is a busy place in a large strip mall in Plainview. The decor is "fancy pizzeria" but the food is really good. All the pastas, chicken & veal dishes that I've had our really good. The wine selection is meh but this is a place for good Italian food. Ample parking a plus but no reservations taken and all parties must be present to sit [ really really hate this policy in places]. I give it 4 stars only because of seating policy. read more

HOLD THE SIDE SALAD, PLEASE!!!! As a longtime Plainview/Old Bethpage resident, I've eaten at LaPiazza more times than I can count or remember. I only hope I can forget this time soon! While the pasta, pizza and main courses never disappoint, the side salad and general manager, Tony, need updating and/or replacement. The side salad comes with a dressing that contains so much artificial thickeners in it that you can stand a spoon up in it. Ugh!!!! Tony claims unconvincingly that the dressing is "homemade." Seriously, oil and vinegar don't defy gravity and aren't gelatinous and full of sugar in my home. What in God's name is in that salad dressing?!? Yuck!!!! After complaining about the salad, he had the great idea to send me back the same slimy iceberg lettuce (what respectable resturant even serves iceberg lettuce anymore?) and claim the slime was not really leftover dressing or rotten produce, but the "juice from two very tiny cherry tomatoes." The juice from tomatoes is pink water, not yellow oil in my home. If Tony can't get a simple side salad right or satisfy a loyal customer, I can only wonder what damage he will do to the restaurant's reputation given enough time and responsibility. Friendly service and the BEST cesare salad that I have had in recent memory. I live about 10 minutes away, so it is not always the first place that comes to mind, but it is excellent. Was on Long Island for work, and La Piazza was one of the places that was quite close to where I needed to be. Honestly my expectations weren't that high, which makes my experience even better! We were seated right away. The restaurant was PACKED. In the front there's a counter and stuff where you can order take out and in the back and on the side there is the restaurant sections. Our waitress was good, bread was brought immediately to the table, and the bus staff was great at keeping our water glasses constantly full even though the restaurant was super busy. Food: We both got one of the specialty personal pizza's. They were huge! I got the Margherita and my friend got the something "Al Formaggio". It had like 4 different cheeses on it. We both thoroughly enjoyed our selections. I could only eat half of it. It was also priced pretty decently, mine came to just under $10. One regret I have is that as we were ordering, we saw some of the desert options, and one of them was like a dessert pizza with nutella, something like cannoli cream, and whipped cream or something. I desperately wanted to try it, but the waitress said it was too big for one person, and my dumb friend just HAD to eat his whole pizza so he didn't have room for dessert. So, that dessert nutella pizza will haunt my dreams until I go back and try it. Which I most certainly plan on doing. read more

This place has my all time favorite pizza. When I moved to Texas all I craved was their famous buffalo slice. When I came back to NY, the first place I went was here and I ordered a whole pie of the buffalo pizza. I sat in the car with a friend and we ate the whole pizza between the two of us. I will tell you though, that this chain of restaurants (as well as it's relative, La Pizzaiola) have a long history of being really petty for $3.00 up-charges for basic things like getting Marinara instead of Pomodoro. I just dined here tonight and asked for some anchovy for my Cesar salad and discovered they billed me $3.00 for four strips. I have eaten in many establishments, both high-end and middle-road, and never charged for anchovy. Reminded me why I haven't been here in a while.
