The selection wasn't all that great but the place was well kept and the staff was super friendly. I mean what else could you ask for from a shoe store? Unlike the typical Footlockers or Champs where you feel pressured to buy from the many workers there who get commission from their sales, these guys were laid back and I loved that. This place isn't anything fancy and if you're looking for the best shoes around then go somewhere else, but for good quality shoes at good prices, come here and you won't be disappointed.

I went in wanting to buy some designer glasses and another customer was already running around the store trying to get someone to open the cases to try on some glasses. Once she found help for us, I asked if I could try a couple on too. I was told by the sales associate that only one person at a time can be helped. Fine. I waited for another 10 minutes for the other client to choose which glasses she would buy. The sales associate then told me she had to go help them at the register and needed to find the cases for the glasses too. Another 15 minutes went by. At that point I just left. They're clearly not interested in making a sale. Such a shame because before this lock up situation, I used to buy all my glasses from this location. Looks like I'll need to find another store.

Went here emergency dress shopping 2 days before my birthday after having decided to have a theme party at the last minute and ordered some dresses online but not being sure if/how anything would fit, so wanted to have a backup just in case. We got there around 8:15 and they close at 9 so it was seriously a mad rush! I walked pass them at least 5 young Males some with shorts. Running and before they left the downstairs dept I told a female employee (African American) long black hair, just hanging around not doing anything and asked her to call SECURITY and she looked at me like I had two heads and did NOT REACT OR MOVE.... Then those boys ran past and up the escalators and I told another employee who might have been Latina Told her to call SECURITY and she said that's not my department and laughed.! Frustrated with the lack of respect for MACYS I WENT UPSTAIRS AND ASKED FOR A MANAGER...I was directed to one in the Shoe Dept walking named REBECCA WHOM I EXPLAINED WHAT I NOTICED! She was sympathetic and said she will handle it. She asked me for my number if I wanted a follow up and gave it to her! I said if it was up to me those two uncaring employees should be FIRED! They just lacked the loyalty MACYS DESERVE! I hope that MANAGER REBECCA DOES THE PROPER OUTCOME! She was very concerned and understanding of my complaint! I just happened to be going to the dollar store which is located directly next door. it just happened that the parking was quite full so I pulled into a spot in Eblens part of the lot. I got out of my car and to my surprise I glanced into the window of Eblens and saw clothing???? I've driven by this place for years and thought that this was an eye glass store. I decided to go in since they had a huge sign stating 80% off everything... I went in and the pricing didn't exactly seem like 80% off retail, but everything that was available seemed cheaply priced. I checked out the clothing but nothing really caught my eye so I headed over to the other side of the store to check out the footwear. They had some nice sneakers but Eblens turned out to be some kind of wholesale outlet with only a couple sizes of each shoe. I did get lucky and find a nice pair of Adidas for $50. The help was not to much help. But I assume it is more of a rummage about and see if you get lucky trying to find one and two offs??? I give a very undeserved 2 Stars only because I did score a nice pair of sneaks.

Compared to the Eblens in Dorchester and Lynn, this store seems like a completely different franchise. There is a general lack of women's shoes, women's clothes, and basically anything related to women. The clothes are extremely dated and never seem to rotate in style. The male clothes tend to come in "big and tall" and that's about it. Compared to the other franchises, the inside is very old and outdated. There is nothing welcoming about it and that definitely includes the staff following you around. Yes, it happens a lot. You can also only try on one shoe instead of two because they are afraid people are going to steal them, so you have that to look forward to. Sometimes you will get a good deal, other times you wouldn't find anything good, and all of the times you will feel incredibly uncomfortable.
