(I preferred this but others might want that). I brought in a nice dress for my swap (brand new with tags), and was surprised to see the condition of most of the clothes available. It's on par with Goodwill. Many things were pilly, faded, stretched out, and some just looked out of style. I took photos of the shoes to show an example of the condition of the items. I was hoping for more of a boutique experience with excellent pieces in good or like new condition. Gently worn is fine for secondhand, but a lot of these things had seen better days. I took my item and left. I can't recommend this place based on what I experienced today.

The cashier on Dec. 13, 2023 then told me the manager's name. I wrote it on the receipt. I came on Dec. 26, 2023 with the receipt and both cards. I stood in a line for 40 minutes. Two separate managers told me "if you don't have the items, you can't switch to another form of payment" and "we don't have a manager by that name." I even told them I couldn't get here sooner before I gave the gift because I was accompanying my wife who was in the hospital for weeks on end. They said, "That's our policy." Every other store just asks for your social security number if you don't have your card and this allows you to make a purchase with your store credit card. I strongly recommend not shopping at TJ Maxx on Middlesex Avenue in Somerville.

Closet Connection is a hidden gem tucked away on Pleasant Street in Malden (with convenient and inexpensive meter street parking!). There is a variety of upscale and high end fashion shoes, clothes, wallets, purses and more to go through! I had the pleasure of having Kristina assist me on one of my first (now favorite) purchases here a couple of months back. The Tory Burch flats were in very good condition at a great affordable price! Following my conversation with her, I started following ccmalden on Instagram and I'm happy I did since I found another great pair of Tory Burch flats to purchase. I saw the post early on in the week and kept my fingers crossed that it would still be available for purchase over the weekend! (I also look forward to the Flat Lay editions every week!) Eddie assisted me this past weekend and he was great-very patient in answering all of my questions, engaged in conversation and helped me lock in a fantastic (and luxurious) deal. I am just expressing my opinion, feelings and telling my experience. I hope your business continues to do well and that you learn from experiences such as the one that I had and improve the customer service you give to your con-signers.
