As soon as I walked in, it smelled heavenly. I was craving sushi, and a couple of employees recommended the Churrascos Roll, so I decided to try it. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it. It felt like I was eating mostly sauce--I couldn't really taste the steak or the plantain because the sauce completely overpowered everything else. That said, I loved the decor of the place. The paintings on the walls were fun, colorful, and really vibrant. Even though I didn't like what I ordered, I would definitely come back and try something different.

I tried this place while visiting someone in the hospital and the food was good. I see it has all 5 star reviews and I don't want to come off as a hater but nothing really stood out to me except the portion size. Maybe all the great reviews got my expectations too high. I had the BBQ pork lunch special and it was a great value for $10. The pork and fries tasted good but the fried rice was average. I would eat here again if I were in the area.

Orange Chicken, Fried Rice and French fries.

I stopped into this spot on my way out of town and tried their orange chicken and fried rice. The food was flavorful and not too sweet. I would be happy to return.

Carne Frita Lunch Special

This place was certainly delicious so we were in for quite a treat. I've been waiting for them to open and we finally made the stop for lunch today. Very clean, very welcoming and the staff itself were very friendly and excited to have us there. The menu was priced very well with many different options to choose from. Lots of great options for Latin fusion sushi rolls and other dishes. Food - I got the lunch special. Carne Frita with fried rice and French fries. The carne frita was very crisp, tender and perfectly flavored. I liked the fried rice sine it had bean sprouts, green onions instead of chunky white onions. I'm not sure if it had a fried egg or not but if not, it should certainly have it lol. The FFs were super crispy and snappy. I would highly recommend La Perlita, it's new, it's delicious and very affordable.

Great place!

Delicious food! Bbq pork ribs and mofongo are my go-to, but so far haven't had a dish I didn't like!

Location newly built but so is the area! Atmosphere reminds me of a local neighborhood spot. Enough seating options but I saw they had drive through as well. While this was my first time to dine here it appeared to me that it is a chain restaurant by the signage and decor. I wanted to try their fried chicken and the prices are quite low so I ordered the 4 pc fried chicken meal that comes with french fries for just $10! I asked for dark meat and they said it would take 8 minutes to prepare. While I waited, I did visit their self serve fountain drink machine. The food arrived in a big bag and after emptying it I found a box with 4 pieces of fried chicken sitting on a large bed of french fries. I was amazed at the quantity of the food given for just $10. The chicken was hot and the fries were not. In fact they were barely warm. Why do you give me fresh cooked hot chicken and old cold fries? On top of that the hot chicken was not that tasty. I have had far better. It wasn't bad but it wasn't that good either. Yes, the food is inexpensive and the serving size large but give me more taste and flavor both in the chicken and fries.

Once we entered the…read moreestablishment, we were greeted right away and were given menus to look through before our order was taken. This was our first time here so the menu was big and it had a lot of options to go through. Although some items were on the pricier side, they all looked very good and were worth to try. I got carne guisada with maduros, white rice and red beans as my dinner. We also had gotten salami con queso which came with tostones as an appetizer. The presentation was great but it made it a bit of a hassle to go back and forth between all the little pots as you are trying to eat. I love to mix all my food so that's what I said that. The guisado was a little too oily and over-seasoned, a little too salty for my liking. Overall I'm glad we were able to try yet another Dominican spot. Give it a try, there is something on the menu for everybody.

The menu looks great and has plenty of options. The decor is super cute and it looks like they have some work space available. My only complaint there was the seating. The chairs just didn't fit well under the tables so I was constantly kicking my partner since I tend to move a lot. Each dish that came out was very well presented. Maybe sometimes too much going on the table with all the cutting boards, cute little pots and pilón. On to the food! The salami con queso hit the spot but was not well balanced with the amount of tostones provided. Definitely needed more salami & cheese. The salsa rosada paired well. I followed with the mofongo de chicharron. The chicharron was perfectly cooked. The skin was very crunchy and had a nice chunk of pork. The way this dish is presented made it hard to eat as I normally would. Even after clearing the way, the mofongo was very dense inside of the pilón. This made it hard to mix in the accompanying sauce. To make things extra awkward, I felt as if I was being watched most of my meal. Maybe because we were the only patrons dining in but combined with the difficulty of eating my meal, it just made for a less than ideal experience.

Once we arrived, the establishment was bigger than expected. The decorations were fun and vibrant. The first thing I noticed on the menu was how expensive everything was. I'm sure the only thing they didn't charge for was ice cubes. Although the food was okay, there is no way the portions matched the price they were charging. I officially had the smallest piece of steak I've ever seen on any bandeja dish. I'm sure this could be hurting them because of its location and having many other options for Latin/Caribbean food. The service was alright. When we first got there we just picked a place to sit and waited for menus. The first waitress barely said a word, no welcome, no greeting. Looks like she was getting ready to leave. The second waitress was a little more friendly however I still feel like they lacked customer service here. Needless to say they didn't have the pollo guisado, only bottled waters and soda cans. Be prepared to spend, specially if you come to feed a family.
