Food is soooooo damn yummy bro OMG; ordered the Drowning Fatfuck sandwich with steak (Torta ahogada) and i pigged out on that shit. The mole sauce was delicious as fuck. Chairs are cute as hell and the artwork makes gives a great atmosphere. Waitress was very kind and meal only ended up being 44$ after tip to serve two individuals

The tacos were out of this world extraordinary, the only bad thing was my rice and beans were ice cold when they were served to me. I will 10000% be back again!! Definitely recommend

This restaurant is extremely local to this nice city of ours. Had the Molcajete Fajita, didn't expect to actually get nopales (for the uninitiated: a type of cactus.) as it was mentioned, they dont always have it on hand. First of all the food was a MASSIVE portion, Absolutely amazing flavors. There are few Mexican places in this city that really keep up with the genuinely authentic taste. The staff here are surprisingly attentive, within about 5 minutes of finishing my food, two separate staff offered me a to-go box. I must say I don't prefer the very vibrant colors and designs when it comes to the booths and tables, but there's no doubt that each piece can be considered art. Many other reviews mentioned poor food presentation? but I didn't see a that myself. Food looked divine, I've attached a picture to reference this. Only disappointment was prices don't quite match the online comparisons I had found, roughly abt 5$ more on average compared to online menus.

The food tasted awesome! My husband said the best enchiladas he's had! Something weird about the restaurant is that you had to pay 3.99 for chips and salsa... The waitress only speaks Spanish so you know it's authentic. Prices are normal in comparison to others. Tables are clean and decorated/painted cute.

Well Grub hub delivered it late, on its side, cold and missing items even though we live .9 miles away. Ps, the secret ingredient is cinnamon in the red sauce. That's not my jam for Mexican food. The chalupa and tostada and merged and maybe it was the tears of the chef that left, the hopefully once crunchy corn shell, into mush... but ewww... I was hoping this would be a great local place but nah. Thanks for ruining dinner Marie Callender... I mean La Pasadita.

Oh my heavens, why have I been avoiding this place?!? This has to be the best Mexican food I have had in all of Gainesville. I ordered the Combo (chose the chicken chalupa, beef/pork tamal, & chile relleno). It was SO MUCH FOOD for $10.65. This could easily feed two people. My favorite was the tamal, it was on the sweeter side, but packed so much flavor. The chile relleno was probably my least favorite because I do not like a lot of cheese, and it is basically a cheesy stuffed pepper. I was a little bit surprised that the chalupa was not what I was expecting, it was a flat crunch corn taco piled high with taco toppings. By the time we got home it was not crunch anymore, but still very tasty. Finding their menu and navigating it online was a bit of a challenge so we drove up there, ordered, and waited in the car for the food to be ready. It did take a good 20 minutes or so for the food to come out, but once we got home it was still warm and more delicious than I remembered. Thankfully for you, I took pictures of the whole menu, so feel free to peruse below. The hubs loved this place so much that it will definitely be our to go order for v-day, so get ready for us La Pas!

Yes, the prices are fantastic and the service was good. The food however is surprisingly lacking flavor, which is saying a lot because I don't mind my food on the bland side. The fish was cooked well, but the shrimp and scallops were a little over cooked. I do like that there are options for entire family including chicken strips for the kiddo and vegetarian dishes too. My hubby absolutely loves this place so I'm sure I will be back, especially given the prices, I just know to keep my expectations in check. Who knows, maybe there's a great menu item that I just haven't discovered yet, especially since the menu is so extensive.

This is a no frills, cheap Mexican local hang out in Gainesville. I came here with my daughter for a quick stop off whilst visiting her for Thanksgiving where she is currently attending university here in Gainesville. We ordered two meals and the bill was around 22 dollars. Fast n friendly service.

The event said no reservations needed, so we showed up not realizing how popular it would be. The place was PACKED with a line out the door! Even so, we only waited about 25 minutes for a table on Valentine's Day, which honestly wasn't bad at all considering the crowd. We went specifically for their Valentine's special: 2 margaritas, fajitas for two, and dessert, such a great deal! The margaritas were delicious. We ordered the Rita sampler and the blueberry margarita tasted like blueberry pie, so fresh, organic, and absolutely yummy. We also ordered homemade guacamole, which was delectable, paired with fresh, crispy homemade chips. Our fajitas included steak, pork, chicken, and shrimp, and everything was cooked to perfection. The flavors were incredible!!! And can we talk about the restaurant itself? It's HUGE! It felt like one of those multi-level Times Square NYC restaurants, with multiple floors and even outside patio seating. It was like a magic trick walking through it! Our waitress, Lia, was fantastic, attentive, helpful, and so sweet despite how busy it was. The staff worked incredibly hard all night and it showed. Plentiful parking, amazing food, great atmosphere. We will definitely be back to this hidden gem we didn't even know existed in town. Thank you for making our Valentine's Day special after a long day of yard work

Drinks were included with the event, and I ordered a Tito's with club soda and lime, but something was off. On the plus side, we tried the chips and guacamole, and they were really good--fresh, flavorful, and a great snack to share. Overall, it's a good spot if you're looking for a social, energetic atmosphere, but the drinks didn't quite hit the mark for me. Might give it another try for the food or a different cocktail.

Our server was Brandon, who was an absolute delight! He was so energetic, so friendly, and gave great suggestions. We started with drinks. I had a skinny margarita and my husband had a Frida (top shelf margarita) and our son had a Coke. First thing we ordered was the chips and salsa. The chips were perfect, not too thin and not too thick. They came with two salsas. Both were tasty. Not sure if there is a spicier option but we will check next time. I ordered the Birria tacos. They were so delicious! So much flavor! The avocado tomatillo salsa was perfect with it. My husband ordered the Al Pastor tacos. It was very traditional Al pastor. He loved the black beans. His words were " these are the best black beans I have ever had!" Our son ordered the chorizo tacos. First, I have never seen chorizo tacos offered in a Mexican restaurant. Secondly, they were amazing! To finish, I ordered the banana pudding and our son ordered the churro sundae. Both desserts were delicious. The portions were huge! All in all I say Nopal is quite the gem. Perfect portions and dishes that are packed with flavor. And service that goes above and beyond. We can't wait to go back. We will ask for Brandon!!!

I had the Jose Cuervo margarita, which was fine for 8 dollars. Not as strong as some other restaurants in Orlando, but not going to complain for 8 bucks. The scallop quesadilla was decently sized for one person. It had a fair amount of bay scallops, peppers, onions, and tomatoes. The sauce was pretty good too, and adding hot sauce helped with the heat. The guacamole salad was enjoyable too, but the as sour cream tasted standard. For 15 dollars, the scallop quesadilla was worth it! For dessert, the chocolate cake flan was alright for 8 dollars. It was a bit rich and I couldn't finish it all, but it was a sweet enough to enjoy. The service was pretty fast. My food and drink came pretty quickly. My server was friendly and very good. She checked up on me a couple times. The atmosphere is the same as last time, but a lot less crowded. It was pretty quiet for a Saturday, but at least there was some music in the background. Of course, if you saw the photos from last time, you knew what I did before I left. For the price paid, I still think it's a good Mexican restaurant. I know there are better ones nearby, but the atmosphere is still enjoyable. I will try some other Mexican restaurants next time, but I can still recommend Las Margaritas for decent Mexican food in Gainesville. Overall: B
