I do have a thing for a latino food truck! Here is another good find. Did a pickup and took home to eat. The tequeños were delicious. The pulled meat Empanada also good! I had the Meat Patacon - Grilled beef with artisanal Venezuelan queso smoked ham all between 2 green fried plantain. HUGE! - Look them up patacones at @arepaburgerfoodtruck - It was drizzled with sauce all over which was messy, but also finger licking gooey. Older review, but found the pictures today. This was from a visit at Daft Cow many months back. Also a great brewery. THe food is intereting. You get a burger, with various toppings, on an arepa (corn pancake essentially. The one I got had a pesto-ish may on it, with beef, bacon, and cheese. Exccelent meal. Worked really well with the beer at Daft Cow. Would definitely try again, either from the food truck or one of the store fronts in Orlando. read more

This food truck came to my job and from the outside it looked very nice. It was very clean and service was over all pretty good. This is a Venezuelan food truck which makes the total number of Venezuelan food trucks in the area a total of 4 as far as I am aware. And of the 4 this is coming in strong at 4th place. It isn't bad but it is just not as good at it's competition. The bread felt almost like it needed to be cooked more and the steak was not the best quality. It as however an enormous amount of food. The serving size was ridiculous! I was able to make 2 meals of this. I just wish the food tasted a little better. read more

So, I am at the Heartwood Soundstage music festival with bands, people, lots of vendors.... and food trucks!! I remember Arepa Burger from another food fest, and I did not try them, but this time I would not miss it! An older gentleman pivots and manages in the smallish kitchen. Aromas and kitchen noises make me even hungrier, because I have alreamade my decision. The very attentive hostess helps another get their food, and turns to me. I decided to just order straight off the menu, since people unfamiliar with ethnic foods are asking questions and wanting things changed. They made this menu for a reason, so I trust them. An Arepa burger is a burger with a type of thick corn tortilla, and it was simply delicious. (Photo) It has a fried egg and lots of shredded cabbage with some type of tasty sauce. It is also served with a small amount of potato sticks. Haven't had those in years! Handfulls of them with cabbage and sauce are worth chewing on!! I only waited about ten minutes to get my food. Another Venezuelan food truck here in Gainesville! Now Arepa Burger tried to blend the concept of both Tinker and Arepas Milko but personally I don't think they succeeded. I went to give them a shot. When I ordered the music was blaring way to loud that I could not hear the cashier review my order, the total, or anything. I had to scream my order and felt uncomfortable also considering I'm already short and she was inside the truck taking my order. There wasn't that many seating options but I did have an empty table. I went during sundown and the sun was blaring right on our table that it made it even more hot and humid than it already was and now I couldn't even see unless I faced the opposite direction. My group tried to move the table a little without being rude for moving something and someone inside the truck noticed so she helped us move it besides the building where there was ample space and blocked by the sun. It should've been there in the first place. Waiting for the food was a normal 15-20 minutes. I ordered the burger with fries. The fries were plain and didn't really taste like anything. There was nothing special that made me say wow what a burger. It was just like any ordinary burger. Also the tequeños were more in quantity compared to the other two food trucks but they were also significantly smaller. Overall, Arepa Burger didn't make me feel welcomed and their food fell average. read more

Came across Arepa Burger Food Truck when they came to a poorly attended bike night and I'm glad they I did. I've been to the other arepa burger trucks around the area and I welcome the variety. Each one has its niche and ABFT really knocks it out of the park with their burgers. At first I wasn't sure, but the first bite changed my mind. It's really like a fancy Big Mac is the best way to describe it. You have to be methodical or be prepared to eat with a fork bc it can get messy. I'll definitely try them again and again! read more

Terrible and overpriced. I paid almost $4 for an order of fries and barely had 15 fries in the container. Waited over a hour for the food and was terribly disappointed. The food was decent but staff was rather unfriendly and not very welcoming at all. The steak pepito actually tasted pretty good but the fries were bland and came out cold. The tequeños didn't taste bad but they were overcooked and we were given VERY little of the accompanying sauce. When we asked for more, we were told that they couldn't give it to us because they'd have to charge us extra. Lastly, the steak arepa was barely edible. The arepa itself was rubbery and impossible to cut, making it very difficult to eat. All around, this was a subpar experience and I will most likely not be returning. read more

This is hands down the best place to eat venezuelan food! As a venezuelan it was hard to find the same test from home but when Arepa Burger arrived to Gainesville everything changed! I have tried the other 2 food trucks (Milkos and Tinker) and I have to say they started pretty good but the quality decreased. Here at Arepa Burger you will find amazing taste (you have an actual chef cooking for you) and the value for money ratio here is the best! The quality of the meat they use, their queso de mano and literally everything they use is top of the line! You won't be disappointed. Our favorites are the burgers, the cachapa, tequeños and the pepitos!! But everything in their menu is delicious! I have read some reviews from people complaining about there being "another Venezuelan food truck" there should be as many as people want! Competition is good, it makes everyone work their hardest!
