Baja burrito has great flavor but it hardly had any fish the one or two crispy fish bites I got were amazing but the rest was lost in the rice I would t get it again. I told him I was buying lunch and picking up a burrito for a lady who has been on life-support in Shands and is now doing better and able to eat real food. I went to Burrito Famous this past weekend on the way home from doing a bit of shopping... just needed a bit of lunch. The last time I had food from Burrito Famous was at a party that they had catered for, which was nice, so I knew what to expect at some level. I went with an actual burrito, though I saw a lot of people ordering the bowls there. The format is similar to other mid-level burrito restaurants where you build your own, basically the Subway method of walking down the counter adding things. So we got our burritos, mine definitely had some spice. One of the nice things about this location is that they have some outdoor picnic benches out back along the Hoggetowne Creek. We sat there and ate our food before heading out, and had a very enjoyable lunch. I think I will be returning.... Good food! read more

My hubby loves this place, vegan kid and I think it's fresh but not amazing. My first trip I had the steak bowl, which was a ridiculous amount of food but the steak was over cooked and dry. My second visit hubby ordered for me (he's good like that) and I had a fish taco and a steak taco covered in queso (so it was like a steak and cheese taco). The fish was sooo good. I'm awful at creating my own combo of toppings so I'll have to figure out how to properly top the fish next time, but I could definitely eat that fish again! So I've been wanting to try this place for a while now and last night I finally did. Let's start with the good first. The place was clean and the employees were very friendly. You basically get to pick your protein and then pick the style you want, either nachos, tacos or burrito. Then load it with all the toppings you want. I got the chicken nachos with a bunch of toppings. The chicken wasn't very hot and the large chunks made it difficult to eat with chips. It would have been easier as a burrito. I found it to be a little bland even though I added queso and chipotle ranch. With the nachos and a drink I spent $12 not really worth it in my opinion but on Wednesday night they do a chicken burrito with chips and a drink for $6.99. So if you want to try them then I definitely recommend going on Wednesday. I may try them again but it will be on a Wednesday. read more
