Walked into this quaint little abode (yep) disguised as a restaurant. It's tucked into a quiet neighborhood of homes. Unassuming. The smell of a hot fajitas sizzling soon as we walked through the door. it looked and smelled delicious. There was no need to look at the menu. I was sold. Ordered texas fajitas, water and sweet tea and 1 coca cola. Canned drinks are sold individually, $1.80 per can. fresh salsa! delicious. The owner, Ms. Lorena was nice upon check-out. The host who sat us was friendly enough. The restaurant is spacious with the expected Mexican decorations. Our table was not clean, and the host didn't notice. I asked the next person who came by to clean it, and she was happy to do it. It gave me hope that this was a minor issue, and we'd enjoy the rest. Unfortunately, it was the least of the issues. The server kept forgetting things we asked for and disappeared. We never got a refill on anything. He came back and apologized, but it seemed disingenuous. We were given a complimentary drink and told it was free, but then they turned around and tried to charge us for it. When we questioned the charge, they acknowledged that it was free. The situation became even more uncomfortable when we were threatened with having the police called over the disagreement. Being treated that way over a drink that was offered to us as complimentary was completely unnecessary. Unfortunately, the way this was handled ruined our experience. We will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant based on the way we were treated. I can also make it more strongly worded and 1-star sounding while keeping it factual.
