    Dining for 30?
    Paul H.

It was a Sunday after church. We were hungry and wanted something "fun and easy." Stumbled upon Rio Grande Restaurant and what an amazing find! The service was friendly and efficient, the dining area was bright and cheerful, the bar (which we didn't use, but...) was quaint and sufficient, and the food was OUT OF THIS WORLD! I had the grand burrito with chicken. The portion was generous, the rice and beans were tasty too, and the taste was fresh, authentic, and yummy. My wife had a shrimp fajita and the shrimps were jumbo and also very tasty and generous. As has been said, the salsa is the very best. When we're next in LaGrange, it's Rio Grande for us.

Rio grande restaurant is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to in Georgia. Their tacos are the so flavorful and they have so many to choose from. My favorite was the chorizo. Their ceviche was delicious. I will be coming back again to try some more of their food and I'll bring some friends along too. The service was wonderful. Everyone was nice and friendly and super helpful when I asked about the menu. I can't wait to go back!

Great gem I found on yelp just trying to satisfy a craving nearby. Probably never would have noticed the location otherwise. Food is authentic quick and margaritas were great as well. Our server Rachel was very attentive and personable along with Jerry. Big, diverse menu from breakfast to ceviches. Once you try it you probably won't go back to bigger ones in the pkwy.

Small hole in a wall business. I had a lunch fajita and it was not seasoned well. Could be better with guacamole salad on the side.

The salad was mixed field greens with tomato and cucumber. It was a nice size and served in a bowl. The balsamic dressing was nothing special, but it was good. The fried shrimp were very good. I could not finish them, but they were very good. The coleslaw was very good. It did not have sugar in it. The roasted corn medley was also very nice. The hush puppies were hot and fresh. I did not taste the cake or any of the food in the pictures, but the others in my party were very complementary of their dishes. We ate on the open air deck part of the restaurant. The weather was perfect and the ambiance was lovely. The service was friendly and attentive. The only downside to the service was not the server's fault. She was asked by a few in our party how spicy a dish was or other details about various menu items. She was honest in her reply that she had never eaten the dishes. She was obviously new, but she should have been more familiar with the menu items. Again this was not her fault. Management trains or doesn't train their servers. All and all, I would visit this venue again.

We ordered mussels to share. 12 good sized mussels, flavorful broth, very garlicky. Lukewarm. Server didn't bring bowls for shells or proper small forks.Three small pieces of plain toasted French bread slices to sop up broth- not enough, no flavor. I ordered the duck and asked specifically for medium well with crispy skin. Came medium rare with soggy skin under a raspberry purée. I couldn't eat it, but didn't bother sending it back. If they can't even try to get it right the first time, why bother. My husband ate mine and I ate his pork chop- dry, no flavor. They didn't have any decaf coffee and server offered to brew a pot of regular coffee. For gods sake get a keurig. Creme brûlée was tasteless. Overall a below than average performance for a "fine dining" establishment. Won't go back.

The food was cold. I ordered with the hot stone and the only thing that was hot was the fried egg on top. I love when the rice gets burned a bit on the bottom but was barely warm. It was also supposed to be beef and veggie. I think I found two small pieces of beef. For service you ring a bell which is weird. We sat in the middle of the room and you would think they would at least check on you. And did I mention the live ROACH we found on our table? We told them and they just had us switch tables. Ughhhh

I personally prefer grilled mackerel (B9) but my friend wanted the sole. Still didn't disappoint. We had the chicken teriyaki which I wouldn't normally order if I wasn't on a diet. We got sauce on the side and I salt and peppered it, still good. Our table also ordered the Tonkatsu (which has huge portions, two layers of deep friend pork), C7: Bone-in Haejanguk (hangover soup), and C2: Bulgogi in a hot pot. They both looked and smelled delicious and our friends loved it. All in all, I have no doubt that almost everything here would be good. I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in town!

They did not offer me a menu so I asked if they had sea bass, and they said, yes. I said "I would like that to go. What are my side options?" They said, "You don't really get options. It just comes with certain things. You get mashed potatoes, asparagus, and you get to pick what kind of salad dressing you want." I chose blue cheese. They said it would be a fifteen minute wait for my meal, and I asked for a cocktail menu. They said they don't serve cocktails. They did not ask me if I wanted a water. Sea bass is supposed to be delicate, juicy and tender with a bounce back when you poke it. It is crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. I order it every time I go to bonefish grill, and that's what I expected when I came here. It was grossly disappointing. I honestly don't even think that fish they gave me was sea bass. It was much too thin. It was soaked in an overwhelming amount of lemon. The mashed potatoes and greens tasted like lemon. It was like my entire meal had been marinated in lemon juice all day. Yuck. There was no sweetness at all. It was just bitter like strsight lemon. This "meal" cost me $42. I was back at my hotel before I realized how bad it was. Going out in the rain to return it was not an option. I Very rarely give bad reviews. This is the only one star review I think I've ever given. This food was truly atrocious.
