    Strawberry pistachio croissant

So sad that they're closing. I will always remember grabbing some of their wonderful pastries on sunny mornings at the Saturday Kensington farmers market. Their strawberry pistachio croissant is a favorite of ours - just sweetly delicious with that hint of strawberries and pistachio. Such happiness in eating them!

I stumbled upon La Noisette Sweets by chance while I was in line waiting for a Xulo pop-up next door at Morrell's Bread. The shop is on the smaller side -- with no seating inside, so it's strictly an order and take to-go type of a spot. Although there were a bunch of delicious pastry items in the case, my eyes laser focused on the canelés. It's hard to find a well made canelé and the ones here were incredible. I was lucky enough to show up right when the canelés had been pulled from the oven, so they were warm to the touch when I received them. The outside of the canelé had a thick, crunchy crust and contrasted nicely with the fluffy, spongy, light texture inside. The caramelized, browned bottom provided a slightly bitter note to contrast the sweetness. With a cup of coffee, this is honestly one of my favorite breakfasts. I would 100% stop by again just to pick up a canelé.

This is a tiny whole in the wall spot in Berkeley. Limited hours but totally worth making it in. I LOVE their Canelle! I tried an egg tart of some sort today and it was perfect as well.

A hidden gem! Good lamination on their pastry and lots of variety. Fairly reasonably priced.

Beautiful pastries that can be found at the Kensington farmers market on Sundays. There was a line but it went by quickly. I was worried about them selling out of items but fortunately I arrived around 11am and there was still lots to choose from! They do not have any coffee, but no worries right next to them there is a coffee stand so it worked out! After you can take the time to stroll around the cute little farmers market and maybe even enjoy some live music. As for what I ordered : - Almond croissant 6/10 - croissant was good, as for the filling I have had better. - A strawberry pastry (can't remember the name) 4/10 it was quite beautiful just like all the other pastries here but I was not a big fan. All in all the presentation gets a 4 star but that's not what matters most. Perhaps I ordered the wrong items for my taste palette, so I am willing to try again the next time I'm in the area!

Hours and entrance - The image features a glass door with wooden framing, displaying business hours for a bakery named 'la noisette.' The door has a handle and a lock, with a pipe connection visible at the bottom. To the left, there is a display case with images of baked goods, likely pastries or sweets. The setting appears to be inside a commercial space, with a white wall and some electrical outlets visible.

Cute little bakery next to Standard Fare where we had brunch. Asked the lady behind the counter what are their best sellers and she said their caneles and their pistachio croissant so that is what we ordered. Will have to come back to try their other offerings.

I tried a few pastries, and the strawberry pistachio was my favorite--mostly because I love pistachio! It had the perfect balance of sweetness, and the combination of flavors was spot on. The caramelized melted cheese added a delicious depth, making it a unique and satisfying bite. I also enjoyed the lemon Danish--light, flavorful, and just the right amount of tartness. Overall, a great selection of pastries!

La Noisette Sweets had a good variety of savor and sweet options, and was not too busy when I went! At 9:30, all pastries were available, with the two I chose shown in the photos. They warmed up the savory pastries and the custard in the Meyer Lemon pastry was rich and sweet, with the lemon prominent. There was no seating indoors, but there were 4-5 seats outside the shop. I would recommend walking toward 4th Street afterward!

Croque Salmon. Filling was good. Croissant part not so fresh.

Oh La Noisette. I had you bookmarked for so long. But while everything looked and sounded amazing, much of what we had didn't seem as fresh as one would have expected. The croques flavors seemed to be good but the croissant or bread part of it was a little stale as were the pain au chocolate. No fluffiness or airiness at all. A little flat and soggy actually. I looked forward to the noisette the most as I love a hazelnut and chocolate combo. But same on the bread part. Didnt taste fresh. And the toasted hazelnuts were a bit stale. Disappointed bc I had held high hopes. But perhaps we came on an off day.

beauty Caneles - A person is holding a large, dark chocolate canelé pastry with a textured, slightly glossy surface. The hand is positioned in front of an outdoor table, which has a white surface and some objects, including a green bowl, in the background. The image focuses on the pastry, highlighting its size and rich chocolate appearance.

I had a random craving for some caneles for a few weeks and was looking for a pastry shop that wasn't in the city that I could visit! Searching on Yelp, I found La Noisette Sweets and realized I walked by the shop once but it wasn't open that day. This time around, we came on a Saturday morning and it wasn't crowded. Service was quick and the staff was friendly and patient while I decide on my order. If you like French style baked goods, this is a great place to check out. The caneles flavors were great, not too sweet! I would come back just for this. Since their pastries menu changes, I would come back to try the other pastries next time. If you're looking for seating area, there's a small section of benches outside for you to sit down and enjoy your pastries.

I ordered the canele's and was excited to try them. They were good but unfortunately they tasted slightly burnt and over baked.

I think it might've been a bit undercooked... I don't think I would try another one unfortunately. I think I would also stick with the sweet bakery items moving forward. I also ordered a lychee strawberry matcha milk tea (with the oat milk option) and I was pretty happy with that purchase. Visit date: 4/19/2026…read more We came about an hour before closing on a Sunday, so unfortunately many of the items I wanted to try based on other people's recommendations were already sold out. We ended up getting three things: * The cheese twist was soooo good! The cheese was flavorful and the pastry itself was perfectly done. * The apple pastry was interesting. Unlike many places where the pastry is either bland or overly sweet, Acme's pastry had a slight saltiness to it, which I actually think is genius. I almost always prefer a hint of savory flavor to balance out the sweetness from the filling or topping. My only issue with this one was that the apple topping was not sweet at all and leaned more tart, so paired with the salty pastry, it was not quite the flavor combination I was hoping for. * The mini raspberry pastry had the same issue for me. The raspberry topping was just a bit too tart and sour for my taste. Even though not everything was a hit for me, I would definitely come back and give this bakery another chance, especially since we arrived so late and missed out on many of their most popular items.

I loveeee flaky savory pastries so the okonomiyaki danish and the croissubi were right up my alley. My fave was hands down the okonomiyaki danish. The flavors blended together sooo well and the puff pastry on the outside complemented it so well. I reheated it in the air fryer when I got home, and it was perfection. The croissubi was also good but I think I just don't like the flavor of seaweed and spam together that much lol I get that that's exactly what a spam musubi is, so that's a me issue. Maybe it would have been better if there was more spam. Then we also got a jasmine and honeydew milk bun because I also love cream filled pastries. Surprisingly, I actually liked the honeydew more than the jasmine, even though I'm normally more into tea flavors and don't particularly enjoy the flavor of honeydew. But this one was fragrant and not too overpowering or artificial tasting. Overall rlly nice. I also love that the shop sells art from local creators and small batch goods! I was able to pick up some hey doh silky soy sauce, which was really nice and better than I expected!
