Nice small little place that is family owned. Good hospitality and the food taste like how it looks... made by mothers :) In addition to the food, the patio is a nice quiet view of the ocean. There's a bar-like seating so that you can sit and watch the ocean. There's free Wifi. The coffee olla was a pleasant surprise as I usually don't drink sweetened coffee. But the cinnamon flavor served in a Mexican ceramic mug just tops off the home style experience.... The food, it's toast with toppings... reminds me of pizza but on a soft toasted bread...If you're looking for something quiet and a little ocean scene.. this place is is a nice go to spot... hidden gem I would say...

Staying in Playas for the week and saw the reviews from here and boy did I make the right choice! These Molletes are amazing! Awesome, authentic, Mexican flavors all over! Also, if you like a good spicy heat ask for the habanero salsa. It did take a while to get my order but like any great food it may take a little long. But who could complain with the sounds of the waves and a beautiful scenery! I will definitely be back before I leave!

A really nice spot. Was walking around trying to figure out what I wanted to eat. It was still kind of early on a Sunday and some places were not open. I was able to get a spot with a view of the water which was cool to hear the sound of the water while eating. I got La Turista which seems to be popular. It was a good choice. One thing I will say is that I wish the bread was more crispy. Other than that, the meal was pretty good

Think of it as an open face sandwich with traditional Mexican fillings and you've got your self a tasty dish at La Molleteria. I had the Adelita or chile relleno on French bread and blanketed with housemade salsa. Excellent! Highly recommended.

My hubby and I were walking on the beach and spotted this little place called La Molleteria so I stopped to ask what the name stood for, it turns out it's a French bread with your choice of toppings. We decided to give them a try. We ordered the El Turista Mollete, it had refried beans shrimp, melted cheese, grilled onions and bell peppers, it was DELICIOUS. Service is good, place is very clean, prices are very reasonable, my ONLY gripe was it took a little to long for our food to be served, being that we were the only customers in the restaurant.

I love Molletes! their different kind of them but also the most popular are the ones with beans and cheese but this place I visited totally surprised me. One day I was just walking around in the area of Playas de Tijuana and I was looking for some homemade food and I hadn't seen this place before when I walked through here but when I walked in and saw the menu I was very excited! I'm a foodie what can I say I get excited with food lol. I ordered "El Turista" which it has Shrimp & I ordered "El Tijuanero" which it has arrachera meat and OMG it was soooo goood! But I have to worn you if you go by yourself its a lot of food! even ordering 1 mollete is a lot, because they use a bread called birote and they split it in half so 2 people can easily eat from 1 for sure, but because I really wanted to try them both and I love taking leftovers home and keep eating I had no problem taking the food home. They also have other types of Molletes as well as Pozole and Chiles Rellenos!!!! my favorite. The place is small very comfy and the view of the beach is so cool, I love the beach so I went to eat there when the sun was setting down so the view was amazing, felt so good and relaxing eating by myself. Definitely visit to try homemade mexican food and if you've never tried Molletes well this is an excellent place to visit

Food was old. In Mexico save yourself the headache. ALWAYS go with the street vendors.

First off I went based on all the videos on instagram great videos. Place is not how it looks on…read morevideos! Food was ok but not for the price and service ketchup was bad and spoiled my wife's plate was warm my plate came cold told them all they did was pour more warm hot sauce on top of my chilaquiles red sauce was good. Lots of miscommunication even though we were speaking fluent Spanish. Here is a picture of our Brunch recipe. I was also charged for them to sign HBD for my wife when they asked we can choose from a pastry from the house which was a flan de elote . Price is out of range for service and experience! No Courtesy For Anything and food being cold and ketchup being bad drinks were also not as cold except my cold coke with ice.

We came in sweats and sweatshirt but it's a little more upscale than your average breakfast/brunch place. Our server was attentive and practiced his English with us. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, clean, zen... the food was delicious! The servings are pretty big so come hungry! They offer pan Dulce or a pastry if you order coffee. Which we did. I had the enfrijoladas, my neice had the omelette Azteca. I ordered café de olla but our server suggested the pumpkin spice latte which is my fav and was absolutely delicious! We had to take our food to go bc it was so much yumminess to leave behind.
