The seating was a bit hars to find but I went during the busiest time on a Saturday. My partner got the strawberry matcha and she really liked it. I felt it was strong on the matcha which some people may like. The decor was also super nice. It's crazy that they have a sky light in a commercial building it's great and very cozy vibes. 10/10 would recommend

There's so many options when it comes to food, hot food or quick food! My favorite are the hand-rolls, ranges from $4-$8, and the strawberry matcha latte, perfect flavor and sweetness. The onigiris in the fridge are fantastic, as low as $2 and is amazing to eat later, but there are fresh made ones for about $4 each. They also have the infamous egg sandos, for quick grabs! I need to try the curry katsu next time because I see so many people ordering those. Sometimes they have food demonstrations from Japan and they are always so nice! It's fun in here, but finding a seat could be difficult during lunch hour, but people tend to come and go, so it's worth the wait.

Fish cakes were small and perfectly uniform - almost like they were frozen rather than prepared on site. Green curry had some spice but was mostly one note, there just wasn't much depth of flavor. Vegetables were all cut in huge hunks - both dishes had giant pieces of red bell peppers and onions. Fried rice was pretty bland and barely had any Chinese broccoli in it. Ambiance was bare bones - you order at the counter and they bring you your food and plastic side plates. Half the tables were stacked with boxes and bags of takeout orders. To top it off there's no bathroom, we were told to use the bathroom at another local business. If I'm gonna spend $60 somewhere, I expect to be able to wash my hands before eating and use the restroom. Perhaps there are some specialty dishes that we didn't try but this was my 2nd time ordering from here (I got take out once before) and both times the food was pretty bland. A truly underwhelming experience - especially when there are so many better restaurants in the area.

Enough with the questions- the answer is Bailey's Too. They are a one-stop convience shop where you can find all your favorite food & drinks from Ireland & the UK. Yes, the items are a little bit pricey- but it's worth it for me to roll out of bed & stroll over to Bailey's Too. I can find all the ingredients to cook up a proper Irish Fry- including pudding, pork sausages & beans too! My favorite part is the large selection (15+ boxes) of crisps & the wide assortment of sweets & chocolates. Why am I suddenly craving a Caramel Dairy Milk!?! Bailey's Too also stocks yor normal conveince store food- but when I want that, I just hit up Store 24!

Eventually you'll break down. There'll be some snack that you just HAVE to have. For us British and Irish in Boston, that where you break down is where Bailey's steps in - a place to go for those things you just CRAVE. Irrational unhealthy snacks that seem unavailable in the USA but everywhere back home. Bailey's puts them back in your reach. See the other reviews for lists of what you can find. I had KP Skips - I forgot they even still existed but I've not forgotten a year later after tasting them on a cold cold day in Southie. PS. I got inspired by watching youtube to make a jambon buerre sandwich - supposedly a popular quick sandwich for Parisians. The sandwich is half a baguette with butter and French bistro ham. I tried searching all over for the French bistro ham with no luck. The only options were online sources with expensive shipping and/or expensive minimum order sizes. Somehow I stumbled upon MA-France nearby in Arlington and they sell jambon-buerre sandwiches. It's a small shop that sells sandwiches, pastries, and a small offering of French food products. Lots of pastries and baked goods like quiche, tarts, cookies, croissants, etc. The cheese offerings were very limited and basic. I can imagine that the cheeses that they sell are the same types and brands that they use for making sandwiches. For example, they sell President brand Brie - that you can also buy at Costco and market basket. Disappointing, but understandable because they can't afford to buy more variety and more expensive offerings without a big enough client base to buy those cheeses before they go bad. Getting back to the sandwich - it was half a baguette with some thick slices of butter and two pieces of French bistro ham. The bread was kind of dense and the crust was more chewy than crispy. I was disappointed that they didn't bother to spread the butter, but if they're not selling enough sandwiches then they're probably keeping the butter in the refrigerator - making it too difficult to spread. When I got home I fixed up the sandwich to my liking. Overall, the sandwich was okay, but not good enough to make me want to go back. At least I was able to solve my hunger for the jambon buerre sandwich.

Now it's quite underwhelming. The apricot croissant is now some smaller glorified danish that has no richness or personality. The plain croissant is quite "bready" now, whereas it used to be light and buttery. I have a sneaking suspicion that they have a different croissant supplier now. What saved this spot from a lower grade is that the pain au raisin and chausson aux pommes are passable. Also a save is that they still offer various French products, from soaps to cheeses to canned goods. I have to find a new French bakery in the area.
