I had the last one just heated in the microwave the next day and it was almost as good as the first day. My husband and another guest both had the carne asada tacos and liked them. My husband is picky so I was relieved that he was satisfied - he actually used the words "really good" which sort of amazed me. Another guest had the chicken taco salad which was generously adorned with probably an entire avocado, and quite a lot of chicken. It was artfully prepared. Sides of rice and beans were even special; tasty and appreciated. I will be making a trip to La Catrina in person sometime very soon.

This is the first spot that I've found to even be on the radar with back home quality. 1) they lightly toasted the the tortilla. 2) the meat was cut on the bias, thin, tender and full of flavor!! If they let it crisp up just a little more it would be next level. 3) they used real avocado slices not that nasty premade spread that has vinegar to preserve the color. Overall my burrito was delicious and it was filled great, equal beans/rice/meat ratio. Ps i ordered it without lettuce. I will absolutely be coming back to try tacos and other items. Review for salsas: I tried one of each (habanero, red and green). My favorite was the verde. It's the most flavorful. I usually like hot, hot, but won't compromise flavor. I also got to sample some really amazing tequila while i was there for pretty cheap. They carry Acre Largo and the G4 lineup so I was very happy. The salsas were house made and of the five we tried, every one was really good. I think our favorite was the roasted tomato salsa that comes with the chips. The service was quick, the food was quick, and the decor is upscale. After the meal i had the pleasure of talking with all the staff. The cook works at the Ridgefield farmers market as well during the season. The woman i talked to was telling me about tequila tastings with some amazing distillers. And our server was a lot of fun and did a great job. The combination of good food, good conversation, and good tequila really won me over on this place. Such a good combo. I really like how hot the meals are there. The food was so hot that it was still warm even after I ate the majority of my meal. This is one of my go to Mexican restaurants in BG. You won't be disappointed when you get a chance to try them.
