Takes his barbecue seriously! All made from scratch from fry seasoning to sauces for the ribs. To top it off he's a genuinely nice guy.

The nachos were amazing and the sweet tacos look great also. He had homemade bbq sauce that was also delicious. read more

If you are looking for the most tenderes ribs on the planet then this is your place. I stopped by and kind of wanted a pork pulled sandwich but the pork was not ready yet. The ribs were my next option and it was a pretty good choice. They come with homemade fries too. He was kind enough to add some of his special seasonings to the homemade fries. They were pretty good. The ribs includes 6 of them. They are pork ribs. They basically fell off the bone when I tried to eat them on my way home in the truck. The bbq sauce was delicious and so were the ribs. They were hot temperature wise too. Way too hot to eat but I ate some anyway. If you're looking for some juicy ribs this is your place. Ribs and fries for $16.00 read more

Who would had thought that some good BBQ can be found in the parking lot of a Chevron gas station? We went there on a Tuesday afternoon and happy to see it open to tryout their food. Note, there isn't much parking or places to sit to eat. We met Rome (owner of the food truck) and he had such a positive and passionate attitude as he described his dishes to try out. We went with the food sampler and a side of tacos. The food sampler included ribs, pulled pork, and a sausage link. Just top off the dishes per his suggestion as it adds a lot flavor and texture to the meats! The ribs were tasty and fell off the bones. Pulled pork and link was good too. He did also note that Saturdays has some specials happening. You get a Texas beef rib and possibly of getting his mac n cheese. With opening st noon, he noted he typically runs out around 2 PM. Note, each Saturday he does do a special side dish and if there is something you're interested in, you can call/text him on Wednesday for him to give it a shot to make the dish for Saturday purchase. Definitely would go back to try a Saturday meal! read more

What's up Yelpies You won't believe this place is just off the street next to Chevron on 72nd ... so slow down and look for it ... better yet open your car window and follow your nose to the ribs being smoked on site.... Yes from a food truck. The owner is definitely a chef ... just look at the presentation and the food portions. Not to mention the unexplainable flavor!!!! He's not just on to something... He is that guy that will make you smile with a great attitude and amazing food. Hats off buddy.., keep on smoking !!!!!! read more

I posted a review six months ago complaining about the limited hours here. A couple of days ago I noticed the truck was open and stopped by. When I got there, he only had one plate of ribs left, and I was looking for three, but I bought his last order to take to my wife. The sauce is tasty and my wife and daughter loved the flavor of the fries. The proprietor seems like a great guy and let me sample a couple items; he's rightfully proud of his work. I liked his cole slaw. Then I drove over today to buy more and... he's closed. The curse of the limited hours strikes again. He shared with me that, understandably, when he is sold out he closes shop. Which means you could go over even during the posted business hours, only to find out that he's closed for the day because he's run out of food. read more

Outstanding service and food! Best I've ever had! Melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Rome is an amazing man. I would return to try other menu items. read more

First of all Rome, the owner & chef, is very personable & friendly. He makes his own rubs & sauces. The meats are tender & actually smoked Everything is good. Very good. But those wings stole the show for us! They're brined, smoked, & then flash fried. Still remain juicy & flavorful. Highly recommended! Definitely not our last time. read more

Amazing!! He was close it running out of food I think we bought up the last of it! Super nice guy we will be back read more

We stopped by on a late Saturday afternoon just as the rain started and didn't see the truck until we pulled into the Chevron station at 72nd and 119th. Luckily, he was still open, but our two sampler plates sold him out for the day! Win-win, right? He told us that he's been there since the snow storm in January and we really hope he stays because he's right: there isn't a lot of good BBQ in the Vancouver / Portland area, but we'll bring our business here whenever we 're in the mood for delicious meat! Bring cash if you can. He doesn't charge customers to use credit cards, but it does cost him. He's a one man show in a little truck and it would be fantastic if he could expand. His food is super good. The ribs fall off the bone, the hot link has just enough kick and the pork has a lovely sweetness that complements the rest of the meats. He fancies things up but we just wanted to taste the BBQ. He only serves side dishes on Saturdays. Typically, it's mac n cheese (the sample he gave us was AMAZING) and one other side such as fried collard or black-eyed peas. If you text him ahead of time, you can request your favorite or find out what side he's serving that week. read more

I read positive reviews about this food truck and wanted to love it because the owner is a jewel. Portions are decent but the meat was a bit bland and didn't have that smokey grill flavor that makes barbecue, barbecue. I didn't wait long at all for my food and overall customer service was excellent. read more

Great hot link! Very nice owner and the cart was very clean, I look forward to trying other items on the menu! Coleslaw was great as well!

I have been hoping to try his food! Tonight is the night! I got the sampler to share with my hubby. I tried one of the ribs, it fell off the bone and was so delicious. This is my favorite in Clark County! So glad that it's close by. Thanks again for the delicious food! read more

The ribs are amazing !!! They are full of flavor and fall off the bone. Great choice for an event too .

Owner is nice. I would say that this is probably some of the best barbecue I've had around town. I think I was more impressed here than I was with like smoking oak or some of those other big names. My suggestion would be if possible to Branch out and offer other sides maybe like collard greens, potato salad, and cornbread. Something like that read more

I've been looking for great barbecue in the Portland / Vancouver area for years... Look no further my friends in BBQ. MRJ (My rib joint) has a few staples on the menu that will leaving you wanting more and plotting your next MRJ experience... Ribs is a good place to start. These babies melt in your mouth and have exceptional flavor. The pulled pork sandwich is excellent as well. This beast of a sandwich is full of flavor and comes with a stack of fresh cut fries.. You can't go wrong with the chicken, and sometimes that might be all that's left which isn't a bad thing due to the quality of his chicken! My Rib Joint is new and believe me the secret is going to be out soon! Excellent customer service with the owner telling his customers isn't just not a great meal but prepare yourself for an experience! I had an experience and I am looking forward to the next one... The prices for the portions you are getting and the quality of BBQ is an absolute steal! read more

Simply amazing! This is the best barbecue I have had in a very long time! Very friendly service, thank you for everything!

Embarrassed to say, I don't normally like ribs. Messy, not enough meat, hard to get of the bone....... but I wanted to support my neighbor, so I gave it a go. I'm a chicken fan, but that was gone before I arrived! So ribs and fries it was. And I'm so glad I tried. I think I'm a new fan of ribs!! At least from this location. Great tasting, lots of meat, falls off the bone. Excellent service. read more

My Rib Joint - Not a photographer...... but the food IS delicious!! - Food Trucks Near Me - Vancouver, Washington

Best meat and best bar b que sauce in Washington!!! If you are like me, having lived in the mid west and tasted REAL barbecue, you'll realize that none of the spots in Portland or vancouver even come close! Now, the fries aren't great, and he runs out of product periodically ( especially on Saturday), and doesn't always have his side dishes (mac & cheese) but I highly recommend this place. If you like some spice to your food, try his chipotle aioli and Street tacos! I had the pulled pork and my husband had the Dino bones, but he gave me sauces on the side and I hate spicy but loved his sauces! Don't hesitate! Meat falls right off the bones! read more

It was the scent of the smoker behind the truck that carried me over to inquire. I was won over by a sample of pulled pork. The friendly owner chatted with me and teased me with a picture of a new nacho dish that is coming soon ensuring I'll be back. It's slap-your-grandma-good. (And my grandma slaps back!) read more

Wow I smoke some meat myself and the Ribs here are just great. Tender with a light smoke flavor.

My Rib Joint has some amazing things going on!! I had the ribs with fries and collard greens. The slow smoked ribs have a homemade bbq sauce on them packed with great flavor. The fries are all hand cut from fresh potatoes, so good. The collard greens, I think, are the best in town. My favorite bites came from the last of my fries that sat in the rib juices. Those last bites sealed the meal! Thanks for opening up MRJ!! read more

The ribs and the chicken both had excellent flavor and the meat was so tender it just fell right off the bone. The fries were fresh, perfectly salted, and accompanied both the ribs and chicken well. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for some great ribs and chicken. read more

I got the ribs and fries combo, $15 and I recieved 4 bones of big fall off the bone goodness. I've been traveling for 10 months and the last quality ribs I had were in Tennessee. These were delicious. My only complaint is on personal preference, I'm not a fan of hand cut fries. I worked in a pub that sold hand cut fries for years, I'm over them. They were a good quality hand cut fry. I personally prefer bag fries, no fault here. Amazing food, great service. I'll be back, soon. read more

Thank You!! My Rib Joint catered my father in law's 80th birthday party dinner and every dish was amazing! We ordered the charred on the outside and juicy and flavorful on the inside brisket! It had a beautiful smoky flavor too!! The wings were perfect in taste and texture. The hot links were fire!! Too spicy for me but they were allllll gone at clean up time. Who can have BBQ without baked beans? Not us! They were meaty, tangy and sweet! Ohhhh there's no way I'm forgetting about the collards!! Listen I don't like collard greens unless they are catered by My Rib Joint! So tender and succulent. I know it's lengthy but I wanted to make sure the point was driven home. His food is delicious! Thank you!! read more

I enjoyed their uniquely, tender and juicy BBQ!! This chef knows how to get the perfect blend of, Smoke, and Seasoning. I'm a fan!! The wings!!, The Pulled Pork!! The Collard Greens!!
