This is the third time I have gone here for their Chile Relleno Burrito, called "Super Veggie Buritto". Let me start off by saying, it is HUGE! You can easily split one with another person. It has all the good stuff in it, rice, beans, cheese, pico de Gallo, guacamole. However, on today's order, when I got to the last few bites (of half a Burrito) it tasted like maybe they had sprayed the grill, where they hand press the burritos, with some kind of Chemical cleaner. Or maybe they used a sanitizer on their hands when they touched my Buritto. Either way, it left a horrible after taste in my mouth! I also felt that every time I have gone there, the rice and the beans were not the best tasting. Always lukewarm, at best. I am going to continue my quest to find the best "Chile Relleno Buritto" in the 'Couve. :-( read more

We were recommended this hidden gem near my brothers place and was excited to try some street tacos! Be aware of the price change to the Lengua tacos. Their menu isn't up to date. There was a little wait during a busy rush hour but it didn't bother us. After some buzzes, our order was ready! You can really see the hustle and bustle at this food truck, tucked in behind Uhaul trucks. Parking is limited; there's a signage posted on a tree to park on the street side. I've had all the different types of meat and generally order a variety because it's hard to choose because they are all tasty. Sometimes they are slow to get your order but... it's a food truck with two employees so temper your expectations. Often times folks will order at the window then wait in their cars so it FEELS like people out of nowhere are getting their order faster than you even though they aren't. Eaten here over fifteen times so I believe I've had enough exposure to know the reviews on Yelp about serving spanish speaking folks quicker are flat out ignorant. Since I'm back on the West Coast for a few weeks, I'm still on the hunt to find some phenomenal street tacos! Taqueria Sr Lopez, was close and looked like it had potential. The location was a bit hard to find-- I unknowingly drove past it & when I made a u-turn back to my hotel I found it! Although the location was a little challenging to find, I think the actual spot is great! They have covered outdoor seating in front of the truck & I knew this would be a great place to be in the summer! Taqueria Sr Lopez, has a number of protein choices to choose from on their tacos (including el pastor & beef). I got 2 carne asada, 2 chicken, & 1 birria with a side of beans and rice (I always have to get beans and rice as it's my go to food). The service was very polite & it was nice to see someone training at the register! As a fellow worker in the food industry, I always think it's endearing to see the learning process! When I received my food I was a bit surprised that the tacos were bagged up & had the rice and beans on top-- but I did not let that discourage me. I would recommend that they use togo boxes as it would be better than having them sitting on top of each other! Overall the food was a 6/10. Everything was all pretty bland. If I had salt at my hotel I know that adding salt would have taken everything up a notch! The rice and beans were just okay, again like I said, just overall bland. But the beans did compliment the rice and so I know that the combination would be AMAZING in a rice, beans, and cheese burrito-- so I may come back to try that! The red sauce for the tacos was also interesting. It wasn't very spicy & tasted more like the chipotle Tabasco sauce but without the kick! I think the chicken had the most potential in its flavor compared to the asada. The beef in the birria was actually delicious! Very tender and seasoned well. Because this place has so many different options, I'm more than willing to try something else on the menu another time! But, I'm still on the hunt to find some authentic street tacos! read more

While watching the last 4 hispanic "regular" customers get their orders in on time & ready before yours .. with lots of chit chat .. Green or red sauce, home made tortillas .. Oh my God, any idiot can make that happen .. treating your customers with a manner of respect, WITHOUT WHAT LANGUAGE THEY SPEAK OR HOW THEY LOOK .. is really making you just another cheap/ass food truck. NOT worth waiting 29 minutes for your bland food. Honestly - Taco Bell would have been better. PS, when you keep cooking your carne asada over & over .. it becomes equal to a rubber band textures. So we went up there based solely on reviews. The gas station was closed but this place was beside it. Park in the street to help the owners not have issues with taking up the gas station. Orders like 12 different meat tacos, a California burrito and the super nachos. Ordered all vegetables on the side, which they filled up a container with grilled onions, limes, and cilantro/onions, like ALOT. Maybe because we tipped, idk. They speak Spanish so was able to order in Spanish, which was cool. They actually cut their carne asada pretty thinly, here, and the meat didn't have much noticeably fat, I only found like one questionable bite in my entire burrito. I've been here several times and I've only had tacos al pastor but tonight I thought I'd try something different. I usually get beans and rice and this time I ordered chicken fajitas, and boy were they good, actually better than good, they were great ! I am so stuffed right now I'm miserable.
