I was a bit disappointed with the new look! Looks like some had the wonderful idea to paint most of the interior white! I doesn't have the old world feel like before! The natural wood patina from before made it look classy and cozy! They've also replaced the tables and chairs with more basic & plain furniture! The food was good but expensive for the portions you get!

Not a bad place to go. Food is decent. Place is casual so somewhere to get a bite to eat. The servers are always friendly, which makes it more enjoyable. The prices are reasonable as well. There's plenty of free parking as well.

First time I eat here with my family. Very nice renovation (much brighter and cleaner) and delicious food!

I used to come here all the time when I used to live in this area. Things have definitely changed since post-covid times. Food items used to be out and readliy available, so you could point to what you wanted, or grab a plate with the item just prepared on it, similar to a cafeteria. However, there wasn't any food out, only a few quiche like turnovers under the heat lamp. I'm not sure if they still have the food out anymore or maybe it was because I came 6:30 pm and they had less food items on display? I'm not certain. I came here to meet a friend over coffee and desserts. You pay at the counter and serve yourself at the coffee and tea station. Milk, creamers and sweeteners were provided at the station. Plenty of seating. There were several tables that had not been cleaned up. I thought the prices were reasonable and plenty of options on the menu, even for a picky eater. I have fond memories from when I used to come here, frequently. Things have changed, but it's still very nice.

Couldn't help but to start eating before the photo.

The food was pretty good today on a very busy day. Consistent tastes for the past few visits. I felt frustrated communicating my order in a very loud environment but it's an environment I enjoy overall. There was a women named Alem (I think). She wears black glasses and she was super women helping every team member. She's amazing.

We had a really difficult time ordering 4 drinks and 4 pastries. Really baffling that is took 4 tries to get such a simpler order correct.

Ask the Community - la Madeleine

As the Covid problems for business are reduced is there any hope of La Madeleine Bailey's will return to on sight baking? The quality from past visits has dropped off so much that the Grocery Store chains are putting out better baguettes and croisa

Everything they now serve has deteriorated in quality. I no longer go.

The vibes were everything and you could come with a few people or even solo and enjoy a book, some pho, decor that honors anything and everything chill, and one of their deliciously addictive egg coffees. Yes, you read that correctly, EGG coffee. Iced Egg Coffee, to be more specific. It's sweet, satisfying, refreshing, and you'll want it again and again. The amount of times I've tried to mimic this at home is downright embarrassing...which means that another trip is in order! I have my eye on the Toffee Milk, Saigonese Shake, and Artichoke Refresher. The menu honors traditional Vietnamese fare and fusion, so everyone can find something to enjoy :D Would I come back? Definitely, and I'm bringing everyone. Well, 3 others, because that's all I can fit in my car; but I'm telling everyone :D Enjoy!

It's become a favorite spot for my daughter and me, and we've even hosted several hangouts for her friends there. It's the perfect low-key environment for a small group. The interior has a great vibe; kids (and likely plenty of adults) love making the origami cranes that decorate the room. My daughter and her friends always head straight for the traditional seating area with the pillows on the floor, though there are plenty of regular tables if you prefer the standard setup. On the menu, the Beef Banh Mi is a standout. It's easily the best you'll find in this part of town without making the trek out to the Eden Center. The meat is juicy, the roll is excellent, and they offer it with or without an egg. The secret stars of the menu, however, are the basil fries. They are excellent and come with a fantastic house-made dipping sauce that pulls it all together. While my daughter is the boba fan of the duo, I stick to the coffee and smoothies. Just be cautious with the Vietnamese coffee--if you aren't a seasoned veteran, that caffeine kick will have your heart racing for hours. The staff is consistently fast, friendly, and efficient. It's a local neighborhood staple that we'll keep coming back to. My only complaint is that they are not a coffee shop for early AM!

The girls at the front were so sweet and patient while I ask a million questions. I wasn't mad about spending $15 on a beet root latte and an egg and cheese bagel! DIY-ed a sourdough sandwich BLT without bacon, and a Mozarella grilled cheese bagel, and a side of fruit (grapes) and a cup of Ginger Peach Green Tea. The idea of the bagel sandwich actually came from the staff and surprisingly it was great! I wish the sourdough and bagles were larger, though. The grapes were not fresh. The tea had a hint of peach, but I could barely taste the flavor of ginger. Maybe I asked for lots of ice so it was diluted?

They have a breakfast/brunch menu, a daytime/lunch menu, and an evening menu and you can watch them preparing items in the kitchen. You can either eat inside or outside on the patio, and they have heaters for the cooler days. We came here to get some baked goods mid-afternoon and they still had a good selection. The bear claw was large and tasty with an enjoyable cinnamon flavor and the lemon meringue croissant was unique and enjoyable as I'd never had a croissant with lemon meringue filing. They weren't cheap but they were tasty and enjoyable. I did want to mention they have parking but it's hit or miss on getting a spot since it can get crowded so walking might be easiest if you live nearby. I'll come back here again for a meal and to try some other items on their menu.

I really wanted to love this place…read more My family and I chose to come here for Easter because it's dog-friendly -- which felt like the perfect combination for us. They even have a dog menu, and the patio setup is honestly beautiful. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and aesthetically on point. The staff greets you right away, and first impressions were genuinely great. We chose to sit outside on the balcony so my puppy could join us, and that space alone is worth noting -- fire pits going, cozy atmosphere, just really well done. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. We ordered food for all of us, including my daughter and my puppy. My food and my puppy's food came out fairly quickly, but my daughter's meal never arrived. After waiting quite a while, I had to flag down the waiter, only to be told -- after the fact -- that they didn't even have what she ordered. At no point before that did anyone communicate this. So now she has to reorder, and we're waiting all over again while the rest of us are already eating. When her food finally arrives, there's no silverware. Just... dropped off with no thought to the fact that she actually needed utensils to eat. We also ordered lemonade, which was great -- but when the waiter offered to bring more after the issues, it never came. To try and make up for things, they brought out a dessert that looked beautiful, but when we asked what was in it (due to food sensitivities), the waiter had no idea. He eventually came back with an allergy sheet, which felt like an afterthought rather than informed service. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager. Instead, the waiter told me, "I just got out of trouble -- what can I do to make this right?" That response alone was incredibly off-putting and unprofessional. We ultimately just had my daughter's meal removed from the bill and decided to move on. Even my puppy's waffles -- which was one of the things we were most excited about -- came out slightly burnt. Overall, the lack of communication, poor follow-through, and disorganized service completely overshadowed what could have been a great experience. It's disappointing because the space and concept have so much potential. Unfortunately, I can't overlook the service issues.
