Legit, everything made and cooked fresh. Kick ass happy hour and tequila selection. I will definitely be back!

Such a nice place! Totally good priced, the food was delicious, cervezas for only 4 dollars and the staff was really nice! I will surely come back! read more

Wow. This place went downhill quickly. Visited yesterday after not having been in months and I regret it. Margaritas were sour and watered down. STALE chips with a TINY saucer of guacamole for $7, and all three tacos I ordered were terrible. The corn tortilla on all of them was also stale, the veggie taco so over-salted it was inedible, shrimp and fish taco were dry and flavorless. No bueno on all fronts. You did me wrong Lupe and I'm breaking up with you. read more

when my girl and I saw this place getting ready to open, we were STOKED. a yummy taco joint in our hood is what we look for and La Lupe is representing! their drinks are delicious too! the bar tenders are sweet, a great team and great atmosphere. read more

Day drinking on a Saturday is so great at La Lupe - drink specials and good food to pre game before heading across the street to Bizarre.

I absolutely fell in love with this place!!!!! KARLA rocks, and so does her team! My friend & her boyfriend had been here a few times & this was my 1st visit. Enjoyed the tacos, and drinks. Everything was flavorful, bartender checked in on us periodically. Staff was approachable friendly funny attentive! I will recommend this place to any & everyone. The atmosphere is perfect if you want to enjoy your meal, kick back and have a few drinks talk with your friends. (& make new ones) Perfect perfect perfect Will be back read more

This place is great. Had the fish burrito bowl and a margarita. Both were excellent. The owner is super sweet and friendly. Food was fairly quick considering it's NYE and busy. Great atmosphere. Don't have a single bad thing to say! read more

The veggie bowl, a strong margarita, and good service made our already good night even better. We brought our 2 year old with us and didn't receive glares from the hipster crowd...kinda unusual for the hood. And It felt a lot like being transported to Austin, TX. It was solid food and a fun time. Go here! read more

Decent service, great ambience, had one Margarita and I'm a waste of space, love this place. The food has come a long way since they opened, especially the flavor in their meats. Come here for a relaxed setting read more

I wish their was a larger bar. You have to get your food if you order it and are seated at a table. The tacos are a bit pricey. I wish his place was open later. read more

This place is fantastic. The decor is great, the ambiance is inviting, and the food is light, fresh, and delicious. I heard about this place through a friend and went to check it out since it's right around the corner from me. I ended up sitting at the bar and talking with Jamie, the manager/bartender (not sure her title) the whole time. She was an absolute treat to talk to, and really made my experience that much better. If you're looking for a great date spot, this place is perfect. Food comes out in a timely manner, there's a full bar, and again, the lighting is just bright and just dark enough. Definitely coming back! read more

The food and margaritas are fantastic and relatively cheap. Definitely recommend the food (although the chips are a little... dense/healthy tasting? IMO). The place is a pretty chaotic and loud. And unfortunately the backyard is kind of ruined by the neighboring establishment's giant and loud AC. The service could be better. I get that it's a tacqueria and no frills, but little things like making eye contact while you're taking an order/ringing it up, or apologizing after you slosh water on our table or yell at us about an order that isn't even ours, go a long way. If the atmosphere were a little more friendly/relaxing, it'd be a definite go-to spot for me. read more

LA LUPE IS GREAT! THE FOOD IS GREAT! THE OWNER AND EMPLOYEES ARE FRIENDLY! Don't believe the negative comments posted here!!! After not just being ignored, but blatantly refused service at Bizarre Bar across the street (cause we aren't hipsters), my wife and I discovered La Lupe. The food was EXCELLENT, the SERVICE was FRIENDLY, and the environment was FESTIVE. The negative comments you see here are from Millennials, Hipsters, and Trust Fund kids who expect you to kiss their ass and stroke their undeserved egos. Unfortunately, this neighborhood has been invaded by arrogant assholes who think the world revolves around them. They have no understanding that there are families who have lived here for generations. These kids walk around with an attitude like they own the place. They think that just because they read Bushwick is a cool neighborhood on some gay ass social media blog post, they can waltz in and be a dick. For those of us who have lived here for nearly two decades, and the families who have grown up here, we behave like adults and treat our fellow man with courtesy and respect. If the children invading the neighborhood on mommy and daddy's credit card were raised right, and behaved like adults, the world would be a better place. More to the point, if you are respectful and courteous to quality restaurants like La Lupe, the service you receive will be respectful and courteous in return. If you want to behave like an asshole and like being ignored and disrespected, go to Bizarre Bar across the street and let the hipster bartenders who are too busy to care cause they're watching Youtube on their iPhones, not serve you. read more

$25 dollar minimum I can deal with, but only if the order comes correct, and the delivery person has change for me. He looked at me and said, "you don't have change"?! I told him he nicely he is wasting his time coming to cash orders without change. He had to leave and go find change and waste prime delivery order time for no reason at all. It makes no sense to me. They also forgot the guac. For $7 womp womp. Food was ok. read more

Hate that they have a POS system that charges you tax if you use a card but I really enjoy this place. Been here a few times. Their margaritas are not made with the sugary sweet stuff they may serve elsewhere. The tamarind is omg! The tacos are also super tasty and filling. Sad they close so early! Definitely recommend this place. read more

Decor is beautiful and the portions are generous, but both the food and the service are so-so.

So good. Cool interior. Walk up order at the counter grab a seat. Good drinks. Awesome atmosphere. Decent food portions and it was delicious. Coming back regularly. read more

I enjoyed this place the few times I went. Good drinks and good food. This weeks visit made me disappointed. I came here for lunch with a friend this week and the lady told me its still closed. I was annoyed because its supposed to open at 12- and thats the time I arrived (12:05PM). She told me that it will open at in half hour. I hope they get their hours straight so I can get their lunch! Just becare/call before you make your way out there! read more

Always my go to place to order from! Their shrimp tacos are so bomb and they are always on time for delivery!

Was there on a Tuesday...The Bartenders are awesome!! Morgan is a star..Great drink specials, food was good and fairly priced. Like the vibe and will definitely be back and recommend to others. read more

I usually get a take out burrito which is pretty good. I dig the atmosphere of the place. The owner has seemed kinda mean at times, but otherwise the staff is always super pleasant. Overall a gem in a neighborhood without many options. read more

I was blown away by the steak torta. Most likely the best one I've ever had and that's no exaggeration. The whole place has a really chill vibe and the person behind the bar was very charming. I read the other reviews and if you're looking for 3 tacos for $7 then go to a food truck. I wish it was cheaper but hey you're in gentrified Brooklyn read more

Delicious food! I had two of the most mouth-watering tacos I've ever had the pleasure of eating. Awesome people, beautiful airy light-filled space. Just a perfect experience all-around. read more

My fiancee ordered their signature burger - I took a bite as well, it is absolutely delicious. The balance of creamy, spicy, crunchy, soft, salty - was just lovely. Spot on. I ordered the chorizo bowl and while it was tasty, the chorizo lacked spice and that indicative fatty goodness that comes when you allow yourself to eat such a fattening option. The guacamole was delicious, lime infused, and fresh. My gripe is that I have it specifically noted to call upon arrival... 25 minutes after the email quoted delivery time, I called. Apparently the delivery guy had been here already, there seemed to be some confusion, and the food wasn't as hot as it could have been. We will definitely give this place another try, but maybe with a different protein in the burrito bowl. read more

Have only had tacos and coffee here, but both are the real deal and the tacos are very delicious. (Think excellent taco truck but with a groovy place to sit/meet up with friends.) Decor is casual and authentic, fun Mexican. The place gets pluses for ecological distribution of post-meal utensils and having a cute bathroom. Back porch is nice too (only drawback being the vent letting out onto it). Heating system could be more consistent. Worth the schlep from Manhattan or other parts of BKLN - just off Broadway/Myrtle J/M/Z. Quiet and relaxing during the weekday; assuming it gets popular at night. read more

I got the burito bowl. very tasty, fresh ingredients. ordered a vodka soda lime and the server used not even the neck of the bottle and I was charged for the full bottle. more than likely the other remaining contents will be used for another customer and they'll be charged full price. overall good experience, friendly staff, food wait wasn't long at all either.. read more

Great Mexican spot in Brooklyn! Highly recommend the tacos. Absolutely delicious

So delicious! I went with my family- we got the chicken bowl, the falutas, the astonishingly good grilled corn, and best of all, the Mexican burger. Everything was somewhere between terrific (the flautas) and mind-blowing (the Mexican burger holy oh my god).. Guacamole and chips were also really good, though perhaps a bit skimpy for the cost. Plus nice decor, friendly staff, and a water jug you can pour from yourself. Not the cheapest option, but high on the delicious scale! read more

Good drinks and friendly staff. A nice neighborhood spot. Prices are fair and good deal on happy hour.

We were staying down the street from La Lupe and decided to drop in around 8PM for a quick dinner on our way back. It was a weeknight, but there were quite a few people dining in and sitting at the bar. We had a margarita with chips and salsa (pico de gallo), a quesadilla, and carne asada burrito. The food was just okay, nothing spectacular, although we were able to punch up the flavor with their tasty bottled salsa (particularly the salsa verde). The margarita was $10, which seems awfully overpriced for what it was. You both order and pick up your food near the bar and bus your own table. All in all, we left without much of an impression or desire to return. read more

Great food, great drinks, good music, nice ambient. The best pozole I've had at a restaurant (almost as good as my moms). I wish there was more of a waiting service but ordering food and picking it up at the window isn't too bad. Will definitely be back before we leave NY. read more

The food was wonderful. Friendly service. Clean place with good vibes. Glad I stumbled upon it.

My first time in this place and I love the ambience, the lady at the bar that attended me was very friendly and helpful. I ordered for takeout and the food was delicous, my dad loved his burritos, definitely will order again from here. read more

Great place. The chips and guacamole are amazing and the fish tacos are to die for. I really love the decor and the prices are a little pricey but i believe its worth with what you get. The servings are good, i also had a chicken taco and it was great. I definitely will be coming here again and recommend it to everyone. Definitely a hidden gem! read more

Wow. Ok. First of all. I'm from Texas. So I know tacos. I was blown away. Amazing! Authentic well prepared tacos. Wait staff and cooks clearly know their stuff. Friendly fast service. Good music. Well done guys. Keep it up! Please!!! For me read more

Wonderful staff, relaxed atmosphere, good food and $5 margaritas, Great addition to the neighborhood.

Great food, great drinks, great service! Order a Paloma! Especially if Eric is there, he makes great drinks and is hilarious to boot.

I ate here recently. I've lived in Bushwick for years, and always try to make it out to support new business owners, and hopefully find a really awesome spot. I realize that yelp can both help and harm a business, and I appreciate that the owner seems to really care about their business by responding personally to the reviews. Which is why I give them three stars. But jesus lady, you aren't going to grow your business by replying with sarcastic and nasty messages to people who didn't even really give it terrible reviews, just constructive criticism. That's what yelp is for. Just stop reading them. I will not go into detail on my meal there other than to say I was totally willing to return to have drinks or something, maybe a taco, but the owner has been so defensive and unwelcoming with her responses that I don't feel like I need to go back to see if it'll get better. Eleven restaurants opened in Bushwick last month. Of them, only one is berating their customers.... read more

the chips with guacamole were stale, as other yelpers said. which was disappointing. everything else was amazing. we had flautas, tacos, and tostadas and would recommend all of them. jalapeño cucumber margarita was amazing. we'll be back but we just won't get chips. read more
