Amazing food and service! We got this recommendation from our hotel manager and highly recommend this restaurant! Very local!

The appetizer with fried artichoke, pistachios, shrimp and pecorino romano is by far the best dish I have ever experienced in Rome.

I have been fortunate to experience several restaurants in Rome but I have to say the service, hospitality and the food here are tough to beat. The price is right also. Everything is delicious and you can even bring your dog.

Wonderful place! The food was delicious, our waiter was great and spoke English well. And they offer gluten-free pasta! I ended up ordering roast chicken, and the waiter also served me nice GF crackers and cookies. Sidewalk seating has windbreaks, umbrellas, and small heat lamps.

    Outdoor seating.

Highly recommended by a handful of folks (locals and non locals) Ordered: *spaghetti and meatballs-$12 euros. Small portion. Lacked flavor. Please ask for cheese to add on top or else it'll be very bland. *beef steak-no seasoning at all. Meat was tender but with a lot of fat. The waiter did not ask me how I wanted my steak cooked. So it came out a bit medium rare. It came with looks like a want to be salad and a lemon wedge. I had to squeeze lemon and sprinkle tons of salt to give It any flavor. My husband and I were both pretty disappointed in our meal. Price wise it wasnt overly pricey. Service wise they were decent but then again the place was pretty empty. I'm not sure if we ordered the wrong items that's why we were so disappointed. But to this yelper I'm giving them a solid 2 stars. Tips: *speaks minimum English. *Wi-Fi code doesn't work *there's a small Restroom for customers *small outdoor seating available *accept credit cards and cash. *free bread and whatever you don't finish they reuse (That's what it appears to me) *serves wine *street parking if you're lucky *located in an alley *check out trip advisor for more reviews and pictures

When we arrived on a late afternoon, we waited about 10 minutes before getting seated. To start off, we got the Limoncello Spritz (€10) and Aperol Spritz (€10), which were refreshing. For our pasta, we ordered the Fettuccine with Oxtail (€18) and Carbonara (€17). We also wanted to order two more Secondi dishes, but the waiter warned us that the pasta is filling. After we finished the pasta, we did still order the Rabbit (€19) because it wasn't something we usually see on the menu. For the carbonara, the flavor was delicious but not really my favorite pasta shape. It was also quite al dente with a chewy texture. I have to say that the oxtail was spectacular though with its juicy and tender meat sauce. While the rabbit was nice to try once, it was a bit dry with minimal meat. Overall, good spot but nothing worth waiting too long for. Also, I'd stick to the pasta here as it's all handmade. You even see them handrolling them inside. Note that they also charge €2 per person for service fee already.

The pasta was perfectly cooked, coated in the creamiest, silkiest sauce, and the Parmesan cheese was absolutely heavenly. Simple ingredients, flawless execution. I also had the berry cheesecake, and it was just as amazing. Light, creamy, not too sweet, and the berry topping tied everything together perfectly. Pure heaven from start to finish. From the food to the experience, this place is a must when you're in Rome. I'd come back again and again without hesitation.

Our hotel manager had suggested another restaurant, but I was apprehensive to try, but did later, more on that restaurant review in it's own post. I rather did what I should have done throughout the trip to, which is to search google for local reviews. This tactic I found to be much better than to trust American reviews for restaurants to visit from Youtube or even here, just because the American touristy taste tends to favor bland or Olive Garden style pseudo Italian. The real Italian taste is much different and something one needs to develop. I was familiar with European Italian food, as I had said before in other reviews that Mexico has better Italian food outside of Italy. Additionally, the good restaurants here in Italy do not open before 7 PM. If it does or if someone that looks foreign to Italy is outside trying to lure you in, it's a tourist restaurant with iffy flavor. At this restaurant my husband had the Lobster pasta and I had the spinach/ricotta ravioli, and we both were beyond satisfied. We also had the artichoke as an appetizer, and trusted the waiter with his suggestion for a bottle of wine. He must have been some genius because the wine went well with our meal. The ambience was cozy and very family oriented, however, the rain outside made it romantic for us. Another key point for this restaurant and it traditional flare was that they brought out the olive oil and red vinegar for our salad and of course olive oil for our wonderful home-made bread. I'm so glad we chose this place for those of us Americans who understand culinary cuisine.

Great first meal in Rome!…read more I loved my artichoke pasta dish with bacon, it was a daily special. The amaretto dessert was delicious! Carbonara was super al dente. Seafood risotto was fresh. Grilled radicchio was like stir fried. Dinner for 3 for 77 euros, impressively busy for a Tuesday night. Friendly staff, easy for English speakers. :)
