We stopped here for lunch before heading to the train station for our next destination. It was a good choice. We were promptly seated and taken care of. The food was tasty. We got appetizers and we tried the bucatini amatriciana and the carbonara here and they were amazing. We ended the meal with a cheesecake and man it was good! Def recommend.

I was wandering around Rome and stopped here for lunch had two appetizers(fried cheese and meatballs) and several Negrino's. A delightful experience. Not a tourist trap. All was excellent.

Sometimes you just get lucky and stumble upon the best restaurant when you least expect it. We did this last Monday. If you are walking down the Via Della Cuccagna from the Corso Vittorio Emanuele II to the Piazza Navona, you must stop here. It is one of top 100 restaurants in Rome. They offer seating inside and outside (with heaters of course). We were warmly greeted by Ginevra and Matteo and seated immediately inside. The restaurant is charming with lots of ambience. We were pressed for time as we had an appointment. I could not resist the Gnocchi con Crema di Zucca, Salsiccia e Provola. The Gnocchi was so light and fluffy and the sauce so delicate. My husband had the Spaghetti alla Carbonara. our compliments to the chef, Mery. The food was delicious! This restaurant is now added to our list to recommend to our family and friends, and we will definitely be returning. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Our first dinner AND last dinner in Rome. Came across it by accident and after 7 days of two a days (not workouts, but pasta) we settled on this place to cap off our first visit to the Eternal City. The carpaccio is a must have. Cacio E Pepe, velvety, smooth and unctuous. Fried meatballs were crisp and tender, nestled atop a dollop of stracciatella. Service was prompt, friendly and patient. A street cafe tucked near Piazza Navona, with twinkling lights and heaters, what more could you ask for? Pro tip: ask for reservations if you're gonna go anytime between 7-10pm.

Yum! Beautiful location, quiet and intimate. Good vibes. Kind service. Free lemon chello

We so thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at La Piccola Cuccagna that we came back for dinner. The potato encrusted sea bass was one of the best dishes we had during our entire time in Italy. Gnocchi and other dishes were all also excellent. Service was good; though the star here is definitely the chef and quality of the menu, food and prep. Atmosphere was enjoyable with a nice outdoor area on a busy pedestrian street in Rome.

My wife like her spaghetti. Very fresh tasting. I like the carbonara, except the pieces of pork were sometimes crunchy, and very salty. Service was great. Great location near Piazza Navona.

Clockwise from right: fennel salad, all'amatriciana, carbonara, cacio e pepe

We ate here on a recent visit to Rome and thoroughly enjoyed it. We split 3 pasta dishes--Ala carbonara, cacio e pepe and all'amatriciana. All were delicious, cooked just right, with the right amounts of ingredients. Fried meatballs were also excellent. Not deep fried so don't be scared off those. The fennel salad was good, not great but I would highly recommend the pasta. Service was very good too.

Tried this restaurant on a whim and wasn't disappointed. We had the fried artichoke appetizer and it was delicious. Both pasta meals were good and the restaurant itself was cute. Located right off the piazza Navona- the location is ideal. Very happy I came here.

My husband and I had the most romantic dinner night at La Piccola Cuccagna. It all happened in the moment and honestly.....cutest little restaurant near the Piazza Navona. Pastas and wine are super affordable. The food is authentic and served fresh. Servers are friendly, attentive and very welcoming. I ordered the fresh pasta with lobster and a glass of pinot grigio....yum yumm yuuuum! If I could give this place more than five stars, I totally would.....definitely a pleasant experience.

Service was meh, waiter wasn't helpful at understanding menu items. I asked for basic spaghetti and got this. Good, but not as expected. Great taste and presentation for what it's worth. But, if I order and don't see you back until the food comes and you don't offer me another drink... I'm not giving you more than 3 stars.

    Cacio e pepe. Very good!

Awesome octopus salad with arugula, olives, and potatoes. It's usually on the special menu but they always have it. The staff is great too, they speak English and Spanish and are very helpful. Sitting inside or outside is always a great experience. Every Rome trip we stop here for late lunch and wine. Pasta dishes are also great, pasta always al dente and not salty.

My boyfriend and I were staying nearby and we wanted a place that looked authentic and welcoming. Not only was this place adorable, but the service was outstanding. The prices are great with large portions and everything on the menu was above average. I'd like to note we went to one of the most expensive restaurants in the area the night prior and we both agreed this was better. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area!!!

Review # 1200 After…read moresome shopping on the Via cola Di Riemzo, we were ready for lunch. This spot was a Yelp find. We arrived just before they opened at 12:30. We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

I had possibly the most amazing chick food pasta a girl could imagine. Girls know what girl food is. The pasta in Italy is just better -obviously. But then put all sorts of girl flavors on it like Lemon and Orange, just lightly enough, zest with a small hint of cheese-..... omgosh. Yes, yes, and yes. Need my hubs to replicate at home. He is going to be busy trying to perfect this. Tagliatelle with orange and lemon parmesan. This was it. It was the best. Everything else we ordered was amazing as well. Wait outside. They don't have a sign telling you to wait, no server telling you to wait. You wait out there, wondering if you're in the right place, but then people stand behind you and you're like - oh! I'm here. This is the place. There are possibly 4 tables inside. It's small. I read about them being rude- we did not have that problem. In fact, they made a mistake and we kindly let them know we ordered something else- they corrected it and were nice about it.

So happy we did as this place definitely delivers. There is seriously like 8 tables in the dining room so expect a wait in line but trust me, it's worth it. We waited outside for about 25 minutes. They do take your order while in line so the wait for food (once you do get a table) is abbreviated. Out of the world pastas and the pistachio tiramisu is seriously out of this world. Inexpensive table wine rounds out a great meal. This is the type of place I love to go to. It's quaint, zero pretense and delivers on its food. A great find!
