Five Stars across the board. Found out about this place when I was finished at a bar and ask somebody where should I go to get burritos and unanimously this is what was recommended. I love that they have specials every day and you don't have to tell them about the specials. They actually know what the specials are so they give you that discounted price you don't have to tell them later hey, what about your special because some food trucks will do that and it's a bit annoying I'm not gonna lie. The food. Here is awesome. The burritos are gigantic for the prices. We recommend getting a super burrito because it's only like two dollars more and you get so much extra stuff in it. I'm posting a recent photo because the photos that I found on here say they're like eight dollars and that is so not even the case there not that much more but hey check out for the most current photos . If you're looking for a friendly people really good food no nonsense. This is where you wanna come.

This taco truck is open until 1am! Past 12 midnight and 3rd in line. It is located in a parking lot. We were amazed by the super burrito. It tastes good, reasonably priced as well.

I haven't been to this spot in a minute and I wanted a burrito so here I am. I came in and ordered their legendary La Joya Super Burrito which is $20, $23 if you get a premium meat. When I used to go here in high school, I remember the huge super burritos only being $7 lol, but I guess inflation had to hit sometime lol. Still regardless, the food here hasn't experienced a drop off in quality especially the burrito. The La Joya super burrito is as long as my forearm lol. It's perfect for 2 people or you can save it for a lunch and dinner. So you're still getting a bang for your buck. The truck is in a small alleyway with limited parking availability, but surprisingly this place wasn't busy when I came. Try it out if you like. :)

    Salad with carne asada

Got into Vallejo pretty late and there weren't many places open. We had a really heavy fried lunch so I really needed something lighter. Saw that this taco truck offered a salad with option to add meat and my bf always loves a quesadilla so we came here. There was a good amount of parking spots available and easy to spot. They are cash only so FYI. I ordered the Joya salad and added carne asada plus an Al pastor and chicken taco. My bf got the carne asada quesadilla and a pastor taco. I was curious about the cabeza and asked the guy taking orders if it was fatty and he was honest that it could be. He was super friendly and accommodating with our order. It took about 10 minutes for our order to be ready and they made sure to ask what salsas we wanted and also included 2 small bags of tortilla chips which was nice. The salad was pretty good and big portion with decent amount of carne asada and avocado. Very good with the verde salsa for me, healthyish option. The tacos were also pretty good, not the best I've ever had being from LA but for the area done well. I had a bite of quesadilla but found it out way too greasy. Wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to come back but if I find myself in the area will definitely come by for the options and portions at a good price.

Last Sunday (3/30/25) I was craving for a chorizo breakfast burrito and wasn't sure where to get a good one. We normally go to La Joya for dinner and we love it. But this was my first time ordering a chorizo breakfast burrito and was disappointed because I found a staple in my burrito while chewing my food. I had to spit out what was in my mouth because it poked my tongue. My husband wanted to go back to the truck to show them, but I told him it's not worth the gas and time. Now, I'm scared to order food from this truck since this happened, especially me being a cancer patient.

Had to leave these guys a nice review. Came here last night, in the area for work they were open late and had good reviews. Got 3 carne asada tacos that were amazing. Lots of meat, good quality meat too, hardly any fatty pieces. Came with cucumber and a radish and plenty of hot sauce. Friendly staff. I knew I liked them when they aren't stingy with the hot sauce. So came back the following day when I needed to get food fast heading to the airport. Decided to just come back again instead of rolling the dice on a new spot and this time got their super veggie burrito but added carne asada as well (wanted the lettuce, tomato, etc from the veggie) and it came out HUGE! Everything in the burrito was rationed well and even had some left for a snack. They offer complimentary chips too! Can't beat that. I live in LA and this was better than a LOT of the mexican food in SoCal. I will be back when I work an event up here next month for sure!! Thanks!

Delicious breakfast burrito and extras for $9!!!

I paid exactly $20 (after tax) for a ridiculously sized burrito that included EXTRA ASADA and some avocado, that as a whole, was nothing to laugh at. In 2026, this might be the ultimate deal you will come across without the requirement of a coupon. Parking is readily available, and you'll notice there's always people waiting for food: a sign the food is worth coming for. My food came with a small complimentary side of pickled carrots and peppers, some onions, two salsas, and a small bag of chips. This really truly is the best in Vallejo.

I used to come here after school exams for burritos and tacos. You can't go wrong with either, but I highly recommend the suadero, their rose meat. It is easily the best thing on the menu. The burritos used to be about 12 dollars and are now around 16, but the quality and portion still make it worth it. I recently came back after about a year and it tasted exactly the same. Their service is always quick despite the long line of people there. Their complimentary pickled onions, grilled onions, and carrots along with their homemade sauces really take the burritos and tacos to another level. They have added more seating so you can eat there fresh and hot. Parking is still tight with only a few spots nearby, but it is worth it for the food.

Since Oaxaca, I've only had as good al pastor in Mexico City last year in a similar setting. So I'm super excited and grateful that Vallejo now has its own amazing popup serving these incredible tacos, and more. My husband is a burrito guy with a big appetite, yet the servings are so hearty he can only eat half in one sitting. And my al pastor tacos sent me back to that Oaxaca bus stop with adventures ahead. Sitting on a busy corner parking lot, this place is super popular so expect to wait, plus parking can be tricky. All said, the service is efficient and people are patient to wait for what they know is a good thing. While waiting you can bag up your own garnishes like pico, salsa, pickled peppers, sautéed or raw onions, and more.
