    Chicken Enchiladas

While on a road trip we decided to stop by for some food. It was our first time here so we asked how we ordered because there was a lot going on with the menu. The employee just said "that's the entrees and you choose the meat." She didn't really explain it very well but we figured it out. I got a bowl with carne asada and my gf got the chicken enchiladas. The food was amazing and I love that you can choose so many toppings. The agua frescas are also delicious and refreshing. Not sure if we were ever be back but if they open on in San Diego we definetly will go.

This place is amazing! I came to Vallejo for a small errand and their food is great! BYO bar with speciality items available. We got flautas and a BYO chicken bowl. Pictures below! I love the freshness and the authenticity of the food. Only cost us $44 with both and two large Agua Frescas. It's not watered down or like that Sol company we see at main chain Mexican restaurants. They are so authentic they don't even give tickets for the food the chefs know what they be doing. Ask for Raul or Adrian cause they are the kindest people. They answered all of our questions and even gave recommendations. I had to ask for Togo boxes because we were so full! And the vibe! Loved hearing the cultural music and seeing different tv shows available. Yall did your big one!

Went to try something different and I got my food to go. I got the tortilla soup and the papa loca for my dad. The papa loca (I don't have a photo) were with steak. They had no beans, but had rice, both types of cheeses, and other items. My dad enjoyed his meal. I got the Tortilla soup which came in a 32oz container, which was a great size, I was able to eat it for dinner and lunch the next day. I put my soup in another container when I got home. What I enjoyed that all the toppings were in another container and not in the soup, which was awesome. Also we received a bag of chips, which I also added to my soup later for extra crunch. The place was clean when I went in but I didn't really stay long. The staff were so nice and accommodating and even kept up a conversation with me. I will be going back for that tortilla soup, especially in this cold weather.

Service is welcoming with a fast turnaround. When indecisive just say, "With everything". Nachos were tasty and generous in size that could easily feed a people of two. A fan of the Quessabirria Taco with Consommé as well. Excellent food without the excess of a full dining experience.

Service was A+. Food for being a fast food Mexican joint-- A++!!! A little pricey for two of us. $54 for 2 burritos, 1 agua Fresca, and a soda. But next time you're in a pinch a need a quick Mexican reco, come here!! Didn't care for the Vacaville location, but Vallejo tasted truly authentic.

My wife and I like this place. Being able to customize your food is fun. I ordered the Chicken Tortilla soup yesterday. Very filling. Full of chicken and veggies. Broth was really good with a good amount of cheese. Service is always friendly. Place is always clean. Good value.

My family of 4 moved to Vallejo 18 mons ago and we've been searching for a good Mexican restaurant ever since. We discovered Que Onda! Tacobar, a fast-casual restaurant, in the Gateway Plaza shopping center on Apr 8 and my whole family loved the place. We tried the soft tacos, enchiladas, Cal burrito and taco salad and all were delicious. Orders are plated right in front of you at the bar and toppings/sides are added to-order in assembly-line style (like at a Subway). At the end, Modelo on tap is available, along with soft drinks. Seating in the bright and colorful dining room is self-serve. Counter service was fast and friendly and prices were moderate, in line with most fast-casual establishments. My whole family agreed we've finally found our go-to place for fast and delicious Mexican cuisine in Vallejo!

I was in the area and this spot happened to be nearby so here I am. I ordered the Quesabirria tacos. Lemme tell yall, the portions are huge. The food tasted good, however it didn't have the cheesiness that I'm used to having when I order Quesabirria from other places. Regardless, it was still solid just different. This spot kind of reminds me of a chipotle in which you can pick what you want on your food, but an authentic version. The restaurant itself has a lot of seating and there is a lot of parking available. Anyways, try it out if you like. :)

Casual restaurant serving up Mexican comfort food made to order burritos, tacos, and rice and beans or however you want it. Reasonable price. Plenty of seats inside, outdoor dining also available. Ok customer service.

Our 19th hole was here yesterday. We followed the GPS navigation which got us to the plaza but not exact location. After driving slowly throughout the plaza we spotted the signage. It's located next to Cold Stone. Pros: * yesterday was Taco Tuesday. Three street tacos for $10. The soft taco shell is freshly made. Choice of meat. * hubby & I both had the taco salad. The taco shell was fresh. Choice of meat & beans. Generous portions. Guacamole, sour cream, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese. * long table with high stools. Sat 10 of us although we were party of 12 golfers. The remaining two sat at an adjacent table. * flavored ice cold water. Slices of fruit in the dispenser. * cartons for leftovers. Cons: * not really but we needed two more stools. Bookmarked for future visits.

The food is fresh & delicious!! They make the tortillas to order & they don't skimp on the meat. The taco bar choices are amazing. Their tortilla chips are light, crispy, warm & always fresh! They have menudo on the weekends and it's delicious! The service is nice & friendly. It says the business is family owned. Love that! If you are anywhere near Vallejo and want delicious Mexican food, I highly recommend!

My spouse and I recently tried take out from here and it was part of a birthday extravaganza weekend :) Items tried: taquitos dorados de papa, chilaquiles rojos and sopa de pollo. The good: The staff was kind and really quick to take the order and get the food ready. It was hot and packaged well. The flavor was great and not greasy on all the items. The beans on the chilaquiles plate were *chef's kiss* and the taquitos were perfect. The sopa de pollo was on point flavor wise as well. Tasted just like homemade sopa. The chilaquiles were amazing too. The tortillas (corn) were excellent and fresh. The not so good (and reason I knocked off two stars): While all the dishes were great flavor wise... something pretty miserable happened with the sopa. I can't say for sure but it seemed we were given the very last dregs of maybe the days prior soup? Or perhaps someone didn't really take care in that part of the order. I'll never know for sure. The container wasn't all the way full and it was mostly broth. I was a bit shocked and actually counted that it contained one single cube of potato, 2 small pieces of carrot and 3 pieces of chayote. And 1 chicken leg. This is supposed to be a whole meal (not an appetizer). It wasn't filling at all. I wasn't going to eat my spouse's meal so, I tried to get full but it was kind of a sad thing. It came with sides and unfortunately the rice was dry & slightly old. The rest of the sides (cilantro & onion + tortillas) were fresh and good. We plan on trying it again and I don't think I will try sopa here again. Even though, that's one of my favorite things ever.

I'll never forget standing around eating one after another between swigs of Modelo with friends... California tacos have always been generally great, but this place is special. So I'm super excited and grateful that Vallejo now has its own amazing popup serving these incredible tacos, and more. My husband is a burrito guy with a big appetite, yet the servings are so hearty he can only eat half in one sitting. And my al pastor tacos sent me back to that Oaxaca bus stop with adventures ahead. Sitting on a busy corner parking lot, this place is super popular so expect to wait, plus parking can be tricky. All said, the service is efficient and people are patient to wait for what they know is a good thing. While waiting you can bag up your own garnishes like pico, salsa, pickled peppers, sautéed or raw onions, and more. I saw some people enjoy their food in their cars, but both times we brought ours home since we live close and the packaging keeps everything together well. We order ahead because we're on a tight schedule -- I'm a busy, involved parent getting him to the gym after school. A few weeks back, despite ordering plain chicken, his plate came out with pico de gallo. He won't eat it that way. I didn't have time to drive back, so I let it go. The following week, we ordered in person and the waitress assured me she double-checked the order. My son's meal came out correctly -- but my plate was made plain instead of how I ordered it. Not a big deal. I can eat it. I called simply to let them know there was a mix-up -- not demanding anything, not asking for free food. What I wasn't prepared for was being called a liar. I was told the order was made correctly and that if I wanted it fixed I had to bring everything back immediately -- including the salsas. I explained we were on a time schedule for my son's gym session. Instead of understanding, I was told my "games won't fly" there and that I was being a "Karen" looking for free food. My son was hungry and upset during the call. She heard him. We drove back anyway. I placed the plate on the counter, and once she saw it, the mistake was obvious. Only then did she offer to remake it. At that point it wasn't about the food -- it was about being accused of lying and being publicly disrespected in front of my child. Weeks later, I noticed the order was never refunded. I had to dispute the charge with American Express to get my money back. I've supported this restaurant for years. This wasn't about a wrong plate -- mistakes happen. It was about how we were treated when trying to resolve it. I can't return after being called dishonest and a beggar over a simple order issue.
