This unsuspecting taco truck may appear plain but hold on to your tastebuds because the flavors will explode. Simple menu but they make their food very well. I love the "cabeza" as my meat in their tacos. It takes like a prime rib with the flavorful fat attached to it. The portion of the meat is ok, it could be more, but you could pay for extra meat. The food truck is parked by the Grocery Outlet parking lot, it seems sketchy but just go during the day if you're not comfortable being at the area. The speed of their service is good and friendly people. They take cards which helps people who don't carry cash. read more

The red salsa is great and it has been consistent for many years . We like to order the steak quesadillas. It comes with a grilled onion , a pickled jalapeño,sour cream, and red salsa . The staff isn't too talkative but it is a taco truck so we don't expect them to be. We like to pick up their food when we are close to Vallejo and want a quick and good meal for the road. read more

This place never disappoints. It's been there for well over 20 years in the same spot. You know they doing things right! Glad to see they kept the same items and added a few new ones. read more

I unexpectedly discovered this unassuming taco truck that is conveniently located right of I-80 from the Tennessee exit and wow was i impressed by the one pollo and two carnitas tacos that I ordered. The pollo was juicy and flavorful and the carnitas were crispy and tasty - perfection. They add some lettuce to the traditional cilantro and onion toppings, which I found to be a surprisingly nice touch and I love the grilled pearl onions and jalapeño served on the side. The ambience is spot on wonderful since Tacos Mexico is located near the front of a grocery outlet in a parking lot - near perfect conditions for a solid taco truck. The service was friendly and despite being quite busy, my tacos came out quickly. The only bummer is that the tacos are a little pricey, at $3.50 each, but they don't skip on quantities or quality, so figure they are worth the escalating price. Thanks inflation (you know who you are) I'm certainly not blaming the owners. I'll definitely be back and I'm looking forward to trying more taco trucks in the Vallejo area. read more

The food here never disappoints. Today I had the super birria burrito. It was only $12. It also comes with some chips and salsa. The burrito was a really good size. The outside was grilled which added extra flavor to it. The burrito was freaking delicious. Everything was so well seasoned. It was super chessy and moist...the opposite of an extremely dry burrito. Haven't had a burrito like that in a long time! read more

Solid taco truck; quick and reasonably priced. Carne asada and carnitas were really good, pastor decent but uninspiring. Would hit again. Threw a 3 under at Hann's Park, so deserved and enjoyed three tacos. read more

My girlfriend loves this truck so we end up eating here alot. Our order usually includes an asada burrito, asada tacos with melted cheese and no lettuce, and/or an asada quesadilla. Tortilla was horrible hard deep on oil meat taste salty. Over all. 2 tripa 2 asada. Worse i ever have

When in town visiting family, Tacos Mexico is a must! I have to go at least once! I love the burritos at this taco truck spot and have been coming here for years! I usually order their Super Burritos which are filled with whatever meat you want with rice, beans, sour cream, cheese, onions, and cilantro. With your burrito, they also give you a side of tortilla chips. Their burritos are large in size. My go-to meats in my burritos are usually carne asada or carnitas. The meats are usually flavored well with their seasonings and everything in the burrito just goes well with each other. The burritos are large enough that I can have it as two meals. Tacos Mexico is located near the Grocery Outlet, which used to be the old Yard Birds lot. There are always plenty of people but they work quickly! Make sure you have cash as they only take cash. No cards! read more

So I'm obsessed with their burritos ! I'm eaten so many different burritos from other burrito trucks, and restaurants, but these are the freaking best! I love the Carna Asda burrito with extra rice no beans and the Birria (Goat meat) burrito with extra rice no beans! The folks are friendly and super chill, be sure to bring cash, because they don't take card. It's a grab and go atmosphere, or you can sit in our car and chow down on your food! 10/10 5 stars read more

The best birria tacos in Vallejo ARGUE W YO MOMMA consistently very flavorful nd juicy

***3.5 Stars*** The carne asada tacos go crazy. Mm mm mmm, soooo bomb. That's where it's at. Authentic tasting street tacos that will have you sweating up a storm if you like 'em hawt n' spicy. It's that "slightly hoodish so you know it's goodish" kinda vibe. Hit up this truck with a friend not too long ago, and the carne asada tacos really impressed. The carnitas burrito and tacos were average, but I would still come back for those carne asada tacos alone. This truck is located right off of the freeway (Admiral Callaghan) in the Grocery Outlet parking lot. It's definitely a popular truck and people were waiting in line to order (not a super long line, but they do have some fans). I ordered 3 carne asada and 2 carnitas tacos, and my friend ordered a carnitas burrito. The tacos are cheap at $1.50 a piece ($2.00 for asada, lengua, and tripa) and it's cash only. They'll ask you if you want mild or hot salsa. I made the mistake of getting all hot salsa because I have a higher tolerance for hot and spicy foods. Well, at least I THOUGHT I did. Sh*t was so hawt that beads of sweat started forming on my forehead as I was eating these suckas on the couch! Like haaaawt! Now don't get me wrong... it was delicious! BUT... if you can't take the heat, don't do it. The carne asada tacos were dynamite. The meat was spiced up so nicely. It was nice and tender too. The only thing that I found weird was that they put lettuce on their street tacos. Hmm... never seen that before. But for some reason, it was oddly refreshing and I liked it. You can always ask them to prepare it without the lettuce, but I just left it as is since this was my first time at this truck. The carnitas tacos were decent but the meat wasn't as flavorful as the asada. Plus, I like my carnitas really crispy and this consistency was more like a broiled style. Not my favorite. My friend wasn't a huge fan of the carnitas burrito either. I tried some of it and I thought it was just okay. It actually didn't seem to have much meat in there. It was a nice size though. One thing I'll mention is that there were some sketch characters hanging around that parking lot. This isn't the fault of the truck, but just be mindful. They were pretty quick with our order, so luckily we weren't waiting there for too long. All in all, it's a solid spot for street tacos. I would definitely come back for more of those asada tacos. read more

Not sure if I went on an off day, but wanted to try their food. Bought 1 pastor taco(recommended by another customer) & came for the Birria burrito. I was truly disappointed in the quality of the meat, it didn't taste right and the texture for both dishes were off. Sad to say we couldn't even eat the burrito after 2 bites and same as the taco- meat texture was like ground beef. read more

Tacos Mexico - birria tacos - Mexican Near Me - Vallejo, California

Amazing tacos, quesadillas, and quesabrrias! This is absolutely my go to place for bomb Mexican food in Northern California, hands down the best when it comes to quesabirrias and quesadillas. Whatever local favorite spot you thought you had before coming here, you'll have to call them to let them know you have a new favorite spot and it's this taco truck!! The quesadillas with carne asada are grilled to order so when you get your food it will be a nice mix of gooey cheese goodness with a mouth watering crunchy bite from the tortilla. This is exactly what a quesadilla should taste like when you're craving Mexican food. It's even better with the sour cream and salsa and I have a tough time eating slowly because it's just so good! One thing I will say is nothing this delicious comes free, and so you'll find that the quesadilla is very oily and you may want to wipe it down a bit if you're not into that. The tacos are also insanely good, the meat is obviously fresh and the tortillas are cooked just enough to have a little crunch, but not so much that it becomes hard to chew. For the reasonable price of two dollars it comes loaded with veggies and condiments too. I usually get the quesabirria taco or birria quesadilla, which comes with a special side sauce called consome. You only get the consome with the quesadilla version, but these things are amazing on their own. It's hard to describe this dish if you've never had it, but it's sort of like a mix of a quesadilla, taco, and enchilada and served with a brisket style meat. It's not too spicy for me at least so I usually dip in the consome or the salsas they have to give it a little extra punch. But definitely the best tasting bite is when I've dipped in the sour cream, which is probably the most delicious thing I've ever eaten. :D All of the food here is always served hot and made to order, and I've only ever had a rough experience when they get a little busier since this is sort of local hot spot. Other than that the only qualms I have are with the set up, since it's a taco truck there aren't any bathrooms or tables to sit and eat, so you'll have to eat in your car if you want it fresh. It's also cash only so if you don't have any then you'll have to go the one of the stores nearby to use the atm. Finally the location is a little bit sketchy and I probably would feel super safe at night here. But these things are what make this place the special local gem that it is. If it were too easy then you'd have thousands of people coming here every day to get a bite of real authentic gooey deliciousness! :p If you want to change your life and put your soul at peace with delicious food then this is the place! read more

Food is bomb. Tacos are super good. The birria tacos are some of the tastiest in town fr fr. The lady with the RBF (resting b***h face) makes people not want to come back. She gets a ZERO for bad service. Makes you want to ask her, why you mad girl? Terrible customer service and she should get checked on her distasteful presentation towards customers. I had a great attitude walking up and ordering my food. She didn't greet me and didn't even thank me for my order. I dislike anyone for take my order with a bad attitude. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but it happened three more times after that. They definitely lost my business. To keep it short and simple, not my kind of tacos :(. For my visit, the tortillas were more like tostadas, the meat had too many fatty pieces and was not seasoned well and I didn't even realize they added lettuce on top of the tacos if not I would have requested no lettuce. OH and also, the tacos at a glance did not look appetizing. But despite that, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and hoped they tasted good but unfortunately that was not the case. The flavors were overall just off. I was so sad about my visit; I really wanted to like them after stumbling across their truck as I went to the dispensary down the way. I even read through some of their reviews very quickly and I was hopeful. read more

It's okay, I definitly wouldnt give them as many stars as the average rating. They are an average taco truck but they dont deserve 4 stars. The meats are decent with some flavor but not much, tacos are just decent and the burritos are stuffed with fillers (beans and rice). You're better off saving money and getting a vegetarian burrito and I hate saying that. Anywho, 2 stars because they are decent! read more

The tacos be cool if you want some tacos, they're definitely flavorful. Not better than the other truck that be out there. I'm only leaving a review cause the service is ass. I experienced this truck for the first time and will definitely Not Be Coming Back. There was a hair in my burrito I went back to let them know and they didn't do a damn thing about it. HIDDEN GEM. I'm from the city but I gotta say that this place serves the best tacos and quesadilla that I've ever had! The tortillas for the tacos are perfectly crispy and the meat is juicy and flavorful. I asked for their hot sauce on top of the tacos. Highly recommended getting the hot sauce with the tacos - it's not too spicy. Can't beat the price either. $1.50 for tacos and $7 for quesadilla. Will be back for more! read more

Our favorite taco truck in Vallejo:l. Food is always good and fresh. We have tried everything on the menu and all is great!

My take: this food truck is located in front of Val's liquor store so there is no ambience. The service was good. I ordered three tacos for $10. I gave her a 20 she gave me back a $10 bill. She has the opportunity to make a tip, but needs to get back some change I did tip and she was very grateful. Food: they have a special three queso birria tacos for $10 first the consommé was too thick and just ok. The meat was fresh and there was a lot of cheese in my tacos which is great. I would definitely squeeze the lemon they give you in there it makes taste better! I would go back if there was nothing else around when I'm getting a craving for the queso birria tacos. Good Job ladies! read more
